Sons apt. destroyed in fire--the little that he saved we put here. Week later he was robbed of his collectables. They gave him new bin and got call that the floor has flooded couple of days ago. went to check and found bottom of new bins door kicked in. No controlled access---saw at least 1/2 dozen people just follow other people in. If you don't care about your stuff store it here

They even opened all my boxes and threw my items around, as the tape on the boxes was torn off. It seems like they're casing people’s belongings, possibly to set up a break-in. My Husband & I went to 3 different storage companies & a gentleman by the name of TROY helped us here. He was sooo knowledgeable, personable, and very helpful. We told him we would be back the following weekend to move in. I went to the 385 Gerard Location & Marcus attended me & my partner, he was absolutely great, very professional & knowledgeable, he showed us 3 units to compare sizes, the facilities are very clean & everyone at this location is polite. I'd recommend this location.
Horrible a month ago storage rooms were robbed and the persons involved were caught, public storage gave no notification and now my locker was broken into 2 weeks after... be careful if you have a room here and haven't been here in the last month you should check your room

The customer service here is A-1. **Crystal T.**not only assisted me in making a payment ahead of my unit being sold, she also gave me a plethora of information about my unit, unit size options, the unit rental agreement, and payment options available. She even provided the U-Haul location to assist in my move!! This is the place to store your things, for sure.

How do you charge your your customers $10 for them paying a bill with customer service? I don't know is that not their job?? So basically the customer is punished for not paying their bill through their website which always has a technical issue with payments. We had a fantastic experience opening up our account at this location. We first met Jose who explained everything to us and escorted us to view a couple of units. He was informative and friendly. Then when we were ready to open our account, we worked with Crystal who was just as wonderful. She was patient, courteous and outgoing. Together, they made this process very easy!

They are great at Gerard Ave, Carolin, Crystal, Alma and George they were all great to me, location is nice, clean, and very secure.
Several items were recently stolen from my storage unit at Public Storage on 385 Gerard Ave. Unfortunately, filing a police report has been a slow process due to long wait times. This has caused significant stress and inconvenience, especially since another renter faced a similar situation while I was there.
Adding to my concerns, I recently learned that there are no security cameras on the individual storage unit floors. This lack of security measures makes it difficult to rule out an inside job.
I'm sharing this to warn others about the recent break-ins at this location and the potential security risks.

May 23rd, 2024, all of my belongings in a @publicstorage unit in the Bronx were auctioned off online by storage treasure. This has caused significant hardship, especially as I'm currently battling cancer. On that Sat May 25th, I was rushed to the emergency room for stress (17 hours of Regurgitating bile). I have been on my own since I was 16 years old. I don’t have family assisting me. I grew up in foster care. I'm the 1st generation to get past high school. I suffer from psychosomatic nerve pain, PTSD, anxiety & depression from childhood trauma & my son’s death. Everything I owned was in that storage unit.
For context, I've been a Public Storage customer since 10/2022. Unfortunately, due to my health struggles, I temporarily fell behind on a recent payment. I was unaware that the unit contents would be auctioned so quickly, especially without any attempt to contact me beforehand to discuss potential solutions.
This incident has resulted in the loss of irreplaceable sentimental items, including photos, diplomas, identification & even my son's ashes. While I understand the need for businesses to enforce payment policies, in this instance, a more humane approach could have prevented significant emotional distress.

This storage facility seems damn near brand new! I rented a unit for a mere 29$ a month! What a steal. I am very pleased with the security amenities that the facility offers. It is quite secure. As well, very clean and staff is quite friendly. The only complaint that I may have is that the office hours are not very accommodating to people that may work during the day. They close their facility quite early, at 6pm on some days. This is inconvenient, but I guess it's to keep the riff raff out.

They're helpful, friendly, willing to cordially go the extra mile, and special thanks to Carolin, Miguel, Crystal T., and Jose for exceptional service! The facility is well-maintained, and the South Bronx location is convenient to my Harlem-based business. Reserving on-line in advance offers better pricing, and less-frequent rent increases would make it ideal. Overall, we've been satisfied with Public Storage/Gerard Avenue for over a decade!

I need a space in June as I will be moving. I stopped by the property and was greeted by a young man named Troy. He was very professional and helped me pick the perfect size unit. I will for sure be storing at this facility. The facility is very clean. They even have an app that I can make payments on instead of having to come to the property every month to make a payment. Great customer service is hard to come by these days and Troy was nothing less than excellent
I have been a customer of Public Storage Gerard Ave for quite a few years, and the customer service is excellent from Carolin the property manager to the rest of the staff Crystal, Alma and all the others. I totally recommend everyone to store here.

This Public Storage has the best staff. Shoutout to both Troy and Josh. My Mom had a storage unit here. She passed away unexpectedly a few months ago and so my siblings and I had to retrieve her things. We dealt with Josh who was such a sweetheart and super understanding during a very difficult time. He was great.
Recently we decided to get a smaller storage unit. I stopped by yesterday with my brother and this time we were assisted by Troy. Troy was great. He was knowledgeable and very thorough while going over the rates, etc. Great sense of humor too. Both Troy and Josh have great personalities and are excellent when it comes to Customer Service.

This Public storage facility is nice and clean! It’s the best so far and worth their prices! However I can’t afford them but the workers they have are amazing especially Jose! Jose helped me look around even if I was window shopping! He made me realize what sizes fit me the best and unfortunately I did go to a different storage unit because public storage prices was a little to high for me! I still want to say thanks to Jose for the amazing help!
This review is for Jose S. ! I didn’t get to rent due to HRA however Jose helped me discover the true size that I need and what will work best for my family and me! Helped me get a quote for a unit and showed me the units the fit in my budget and also showed me how nice and clean the facility is! I will be renting in the future!

I went in today November 29,2023 to rent a storage unit. Fortunately I was able to speak with a gentleman named Miguel. I must say it was a good choice because, I was very comfortable with his conversation as well as everything that he explained to me.He also took time to take me up to see the storage unit that I was interested in renting so that I could see it before I finalized my purchase. Great customer service I would recommend anyone to choose this storage LOL I hope they are lucky as I was to get the customer service from Miguel
Horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible service. As far as renting a space they are okay but as far as reaching this site to speak to someone I’ve been trying to reach them the past two days and I call every other hour and I haven’t gotten back any kind of response. I’ve been a paying loyal customer as of august 22, 2022 and this is my first time having an issue because they are remodeling my floor and everyone needs to evacuate their items before December and I have so much going in my life where I have misplaced my keys so when I went there they said that they need to email the property manager to click my lock and they’ll email me, they never emailed me and I did miss the call by a minute but trying to get a hold of them for the past day has been ridiculous I’ve been calling for several hours and even customer service was very unhelpful and unpleasant and rude . I am disappointed by this treatment since I have been a loyal paying customer for over a year now..
