We use this location as storage for our business trailer and truck. Staff is very friendly and easy to work with. Facilities are clean, safe, and secure. No issue with third party vendors accessing the assets when needed for transport. Would recommend as a cost-effective, long-term storage facility for both personal and business use.

There’s a lady by the name Teresa there on 18 mile and a half Sterling Heights she’s an awesome lady. She’s very helpful very professional and I really appreciate her and she should be getting a raise for all that she does very hard-working very kind very polite and professional.
Always check for specials on their website! I was paying $249 for a 10×15 unit. Another guy on the same floor was paying $180 for the same size unit. I found a special online, and I got a 20×15 unit for $53. Always reserve online.

Mrs Teresa, over at public storage, 18 1/2 mile Sterling Heights is indeed one of the best managers there is because I was having a problem with my storage size when she quickly alerted me that there were units that were larger for around the same price or a modest few dollars more. She always maintain a clean and professional environment. . Hats off to customer service again.
The receptionist Theresa was very nice and helpful. Our time in the storage unit had zero problems. At times the bay was full but most people are nice enough to move if blocking the exit. The units were clean and well maintained. Cameras throughout the facility so I never once worried about the security of my belongings.

We tried to get a locker here, but no mater what, the payment page kept giving errors. We tried calling 4x. No answer. We drove to the location, office was locked. Called customer service line and they seemed more interested on getting off the phone than helping. We cancelled the reservation. Thankfully we found a different storage company a mile away that helped us get a locker within minutes.
No one in the office to help. Couldn’t complete my rental set up, and when I called for help I was rushed off the phone and was told everything was fixed and to just follow the link. Nothing worked after following the directions still. Terrible experience and a waste of my time. Shame on you.

I moved into my unit 4 years ago, when it was still Simply Storage. I chose them even though they were a little out of the way because they were clean, friendly, and affordable, with an abundance of carts and longer access hours than most. A few months in Public Storage took over. Access hours were immediately 2 hours shorter and within 90 days my rent went up. It has continued to go up countless times. I am now paying more than TWICE as much as I was when I moved in. Even so, Martin, the manager, though a little odd, was friendly and obsessive about cleanliness and keeping track of those carts. I've been out of state for the better part of the last year and, when I returned to PS, I was shocked! Martin is gone and the people who have replaced him have been apathetic at best. Even more upsetting is the mess. The bathroom is badly in need of a cleaning, with its wet paper and muddy footprints and the lingering smell. The bay floor is streaked with dried mud and there are piles of trash in the elevators. I've been there 3 times in the last week and I've seen 1 cart, one time. One of those times the building was empty but there was not a single cart to be found. I've scheduled my move-out. For what we're being charged, I expect more. Do better, PS. A clean facility and polite staff are the least you can do for $1.30/sqft.

Would not recommend. Very small space to park to gain access to your unit. You get trapped inside/in between vehicles and have to wait for others to move their vehicles. Only realistically enough room for 3 people to be at their unit at the same time to avoid double parking. Limited number of carts to move items to your unit, usually unavailable. One set of elevators. Not ideal conditions at all, much more accessible to use an outdoor place with drive up units, would be worth giving up climate control. Will only be using for one month and then moving my things.

Poor customer service. Raised our payment without informing us. Constant change in employment. Poor maintance upkeep. All the complaints of dirty floors, half-lite hallways, broken flatbeds, broken bathroom, and leaky water are still very much true as of March 2024. We've been with this unit since 2022 and it has only gotten worse. I guessTheresa has worked there for awhile? Being at this unit for 2 years, I only saw her three times. She has not been helpful or nice in our situation.
Teresa is an absolute gem. She has made every experience a pleasure and she truly goes above and beyond to help. She truly cares about her customers and has been so informative everytime we talk. Definitely give this girl a raise!

the girl at the desk with the greenish-yellow and black hair with the piercings was very quiet and hard to understand. she had the biggest attitude and did not present good customer service. she made it feel very unwelcoming to be there. someone needs to teach her how to better communicate with people especially if it’s their first time doing this. other than that, the older lady at the desk was super sweet and i really enjoyed her presence. very friendly and seemed to know good customer service, 5 stars for her. thank you
Biggest issue I have had with this storage facility. Every employee has a different understanding of rental policy. It took three weeks and 10 people later to get my situation resolved. Thanks to the onsite employees at the Sterling Heights location in Michigan who brought closure to my simple problem.
I have rented from this facility for over a yr. I seen it go from well maintained facility to what you see today. Dirty hallways, leaking water, and a bathroom that has been out of order do to a lock broken. And today a non- handicap employee that refuses to park in a normal parking space and wants to be confrontational about it. I am currently shopping for a better facility. Don't waste your money at this facility.
This place used to have 8 - 12 carts go there today only see 3 and i was the only one there and they all had bad wheels had some stuff fall off the cart , watch when you use the carts .
My experience with Public Storage has been a chaotic and terrible time. The facility has often been dirty and my unit’s floor lights have been out almost the whole time I’ve rented my unit. I’ve found the place littered and dirty quite often. It can be hard to get ahold of someone and if you have technical difficulties ir problems out of your control it’s “Oh well” until they reopen. Now the staff there are really nice. They do what they can to do the best of their ability. There is only so much they can do until you have to take it up with corporate. Theresa and the young gentlemen there have always been the nicest and most helpful.
Unfortunately, Public Storage as a whole is a joke. The prices are skyrocketing… I mean skyrocketing when you first sign up you think you are getting a deal but if you are on a budget go somewhere else truthfully. Since with them my rate has gone up four times. They will not help you or give you discounts. Corporate is also a joke. They do not care. I truly say and mean go somewhere else. Public Storage will not leave a great taste in your mouth unless as a company. To conclude, they say they will look into this comment and for feedback but they won’t. They don’t care.
Theresa is super nice. We got their 30 minutes before closing and we still got a tour of the units and she didn't mind renting us 2 units past closing. Awesome set up they have there!
No real complaints about this location, but in general I am disappointed with the public storage brand. Out of no where after being a renter for a year and a half, they increase my rent by $50 a month. Then when you try to fight them on it they deny you. Im not getting any added services with this increase and their response is offering me a smaller space. So, with that being said, I will go somewhere else for $100 less a month. I probably should have already done this. The lack of customer care for people who pay their bill on time every month - it's cool but the storage rental market is competitive so before you book with Public Storage - do your research. In todays market of inflated pricing - don't choose them!

Absolutely love this place and happy that I am here instead of any other place. Convenient location, great road access in and out, especially for semi-trucks, which I use. Temp controlled, clean and well maintained. Honestly the best staff to deal with also, friendly and helpful, I can't say enough good things about them. Highly recommend using this facility.

Horrible place please do not give your service here the guy Martin is racist he came outside to my car and banged on my window to ask me if I was handicapped and why was I parked in the handicap parking spot he told me he was not servicing because I was black and to leave off of the property those were his exact words he called the police on me because I came in the location and asked for a supervisor to try and get better assistance and because I was parked in handicap I do not recommend this guy needs to be terminated immediately racism’s and discrimination should not be tolerated

I walked in and noticed that the place was spotless then I spoke with the manager on duty nicest guy you'd ever want to meet, so very helpful then unexpectedly I noticed that where units are stored it was extremely clean nothing like what you'd expect at most of the other storage places so I bid on an auction won the auction went in picked it up he was very helpful explained everything to me perfectly I am pleased and will recommend this place to anyone in the area that's looking to store their things.

This place is very clean, safe and well taken care of. We loved everything about it until they raised their prices a few months after we moved our stuff in. And not by $5 or something insignificant. They raised it by $31!!! They do this because they know people won't want to move their stuff and will end up paying that amount. What a scam!

Martin is absolutely awesome, his customer service is phenomenal. I had a unit that I never used and he was able to have a refund processed and the unit closed after the monthly payment had been taken out.

Martin is GREAT! I really hope corporate pays attention to these reviews. It shows how much he cares even though some people can be complete jerks to him sometimes. I've watched him remain patient and kind, resolve the problem and move forward. All with the customers best interest being top priority. Thanks for being a stand up guy! (He deserves a BONUS)
I just want to say a special thank you to Martin. He has always been so polite and very helpful. The facility has gone under alot of door repairs and he has gone out of his way to be helpful and patience with me. I would recommend this location because of Martins help , knowledge and patience.
