Update 10/24 service is the worst service I've ever received from a company. Charged me a late fee because THEY didn't take my payment the first time and instead of giving me my money back (after forcing me to pay the late fee any way) now they've credited my account which instead of giving me my money back!!!! Basically taking money towards my next bill as if that's at all helpful to me having the accurate amount of money being in my account. Terrible service and I'm excited for the day I can finally close my account with public storage. Also these rates are ridiculous i can clearly see the only reason they stay in business is by taking advantage of people putting their personal items here.
The cost of my unit keeps going up for no reason it's gone up 3 times and I've only just had it for a year last month yet the same unit size hqsnt changed online from when I got it. The stuff isn't throwing parties and playing loud music... What am I paying for?? The bathroom doesn't even have soap (if it's unlocked at all) or toilet paper for the most part but for some reason I'm paying more than $130 for a 5x10

I go online to reserve my spot and from that day up to the day I was suppose to book I was called. I mean everyday. And if I sent them to voicemail they called later. Then I told the last lady someone had just called me and I don't understand why I'm being called every single day. She said just say you don't want to be called but had an attitude cause I was tired of being called. Then Said there told to call every 3 days. But you all called me every day. I blocked the numbers they called from another. I don't like things like this it's a storage yall act like bill collectors trying to collect money. I decided due to the over excessive calling to not go with this storage unit. I'm so disappointed. You had the space I desired with the climate control. Just sad
I had a wonderful experience with this location. Mark went above and beyond to help me when I lost my keys to my lock on my unit. He even called with updates because there was a power outage and then he called to let me know the power had been restored and he his availability so that he could help me. I get there and he got the lock off in less than 30 seconds. I got the lock and keys and I’m very satisfied and extremely happy!!! I appreciate Mark because he didn’t forget about me and he was very helpful!!!
The property manager was polite, courteous, and very professional.
Stole my property went to empty my unit no one in the office no one would answer phones all they could tell me was I had to pay them money when I wanted to empty my unit so they kept charging me and charging me and I'm still waiting for them to take me to court so I can show the court where I called them and they refused to answer the phone to give up my stuff they stole my stuff and sold it and they charged me $90 a month for a 5x5 unit twice but everybody else charges they're nothing but a scam
HORRIBLE. GARAGE DOOR HAS BEEN BROKEN FOR OVER A MONTH!!!! NEVER FIXED!!! DONT RENT HERE!!!
Elevators to upper levels consistently not working, hit or miss if someone is manning the office during "daytime business hours"...rent constantly being raised even for long time customers with multiple units
We signed up at 8 Mile PS location Southfield, Mi. Davina was our rental manager. She was very helpful in assisting us with our rental application. Very satisfied 😁 Thank you Davina!

I vacated my unit on 8/31/23. There was no one in the office so I called on 9/1/23 and left a voicemail that I had vacated. In September I received numerous texts reminding me payment was due. At some point I received a voicemail that it was due and I called back only to be put to voicemail again. I left another. In October I received more threatening texts and an email. There was a different phone number in the email so I called it. Finally spoke with a woman who did some checking and came back on the line to tell me they had to cut the lock off my unit and I would still have to pay. I advised her that I was in possession of the lock that they had sold me too lock my unit. So, no, don't go there as they are money grabbing in the most desperate fashion. Got a text today that they are auctioning my unit... How much do they get for air nowadays???
Increased my rate by $25 after 3 months. Unacceptable!
Tabitha and Ashley were so helpful with my unit rental. The unit is in Farmington Hills. And they gave me no problem qgetting it done with a smile I'd recommend anyone to come to the. Shelby McComb public storage.
Currently at the storage that I opened a few days ago. Customer service or manager did not return my calls despite me calling a few times. Now, there are no carts for me to bring my belongs upstairs. Again, called to reach someone. No one! Ridiculous!
No type of customer service. Couldn’t even get help move in. Must be understaffed because they don’t answer the phone even when a voicemail is left, they don’t call you back. I highly doubt they are that busy to not have helped me with a problem from July 15th and it is now August 4th. Went to Metro Self Storage in Taylor. Way better service
1. They have 1 furniture cart to use for the whole facility that's locked down and unusable before staff arrives in the front office. 2. Interior lights in hallways and storage units are insufficient. 3. Onsite service staff are extremely unhelpful. 1 + 2 +3 = 0
I am so mad I’m literally shaking. I just opened an account a week ago, and even prepaid my rent months in advance. My gate code never works. I drive all the way here with a truck full of stuff and the code doesn’t work after 6pm. Customer service is awful. I’ve not met a business that is this poorly run. They didn’t even attempt to make this right the last time it happened and now 3 days later, here we are again with wasted money on a truck and gas and I cannot access the gate.
There is a huge sign that says open daily 6 to 9. The app says the gate access is allowed.
So far, this storage facility is not quite what I’d expect.

everything is cool & great other than the fact that I’ve paid every single month on time, never missed a payment.. since 2020.. and yet my same unit I pay a total of $138 a month for… ($123 rent, $15 ins) which is advertised online for $84. over time they will keep going up & up, and will claim there’s “nothing they can do”. So I really don’t recommend this as a long term place then because you’ll keep paying more & more for the exact same unit, with no explanation!
Beware, raised our rate over 20% after 6 months.
Update: Went to move everything out of my storage unit. The two lights outside of my unit were out and none of the lights inside my unit were working. It was so dark inside of the unit we could barely see what we were doing. Tried to get ahold of management with no success. Left messages throughout the day for two days and still never heard back. We had to bring in flashlights the second day to be able to walk around our unit. Additionally, the only cart available was locked up and with no one working on site for the two days (a Tuesday and Wednesday) to unlock it so we had no cart to help emptying our 10x20 unit.
Processed our "move-out" on my account 10 days ago and just received a notification about payment being due for October.
Don't come in they may be randomly closed just like today.

The building is always clean, and safe. I'm not thrilled with the customer service at this particular location, but the company overall is great.

There was an error in my reservation for my new unit leaving me without access to what should have been my locker. Chad was extremely helpful in getting things resolved for me in an extremely fast and friendly manner. The grounds are clean and the inside is well lit. it's also super awesome that there are dollies by the doors when you walk in to quickly move your belongings.
Spoke to Chad this morning. He was so helpful and professional and found a way to make my day even better. I don't remember the last time I interacted with such a positive can-do customer-focused attitude. Go see Chad. He will take care of you.
Got my storage space yesterday. No complaints. My agent was Ava. She is extraordinary. Highly intelligent. Very informative. Gave me the best space possible with what was available and what I was looking for. Great location. Indoor building. Very secure. Highly recommended. Service was excellent.
i pay money for a storage units there and i can not get in anytime to garb stuff there any time is messed up i should be able to get my stuff anytime
