Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 1012 Applegate Lane, Clarksville, IN

The units are nice and it seems very secure, but they've increased our rate by $63 in less than a year. I know the first rate was a special, but they've just raised it again and we've only rented a unit for 10 months. It went from $85 to $113 and next month it's going up to $148. We moved our storage from Louisville to this location partially because it was affordable, but one more increase and we'll be paying as much as we were there. It's too high for what it is and now we're looking for a place that doesn't post misleading prices. The price increase is my only complaint.

Always clean and very secure. Easy access on two different entrances. Great customer service. Easy cancellation policy.

I had a 10 x 15 unit price was good forr 66 dollars then jumped to 89 dollars as of january 24 then i go to vacate the unit in march on the 4th go to get a refund for what days im not in the unit and they say they get to keep my money just to do whatever with cause they dont give prorated refunds for early vacated units my advise you want your money go else where this is wrong and with money hard to come by we cant afford just to give money to corporate giant that already makes off of its customers BE WARNED THEY WILL NOT GIVEYOU BACK YOUR MONEY IF YOU VACATE EARLY IN THE MONTH THE LOCATION I WAS AT WAS APPLEGATE LN IN CLARKSVILLE IN.

Lots of valuable taken from my unit. I’m beyond pissed. Plus I went on ahead and deleted my initial 5 star review that I was pressured to leave. And as a marketer, I can make it so y’all don’t even have a listing with google. All these fake ahh reviews. Thieves.

This place is great. Clean spacious units. Grounds are kept in order. Gated storage area. And we found some truly amazing pricing on their website...I highly recommend!

We had a whole mess of bad timing mishaps from an out of state move, had lost key to our lock, vehicle decided it was done driving all on her clock and she endlessly went out of her way to help us, check on us and make sure everything was taken care of! Miss Vanetta, the attendant I had the pleasure of interacting with most goes above and beyond. Whenever I had an emergency, she happened to be there to the rescue, like when my lock broke, she was nearby to where I didn't have to leave my unit unattended while I got a new one. She even happened to be there the day I planned to vacate and tended to me before they opened which was very convenient for me and sweet of her. Me being the queen of having a phone with a 3% battery, it was nice getting to get matters conveniently tended to with a pleasant, patient human such as Miss Vanetta and not being sent to do it online. I had to go to the Applegate/Clarksville office to speak with a human..as I'm deaf and can't hear on phone. VANETTA assisted me and even went as far as writing on paper for me when I couldn't understand what she was saying. VANETTA rocks!!!! Simply one of the kindest public worker I've ever met! The only issue I have with this place is, my rate went up 3 times in 2 years. Went in at $64, left at $129. They raised me right up out of there. Now I'm giving my money to another storage facility, whose rate is locked in at $70.

This place is a joke and I got held in their facility and was not able to leave the number that you call for after hours I was on hold for ok very an hour and a half I had to jump the fence and leave my truck there. There was no heads up or warning that I was going to be held there.

Door was locked during regular business hours when I arrived, knocked on door and as I was leaving person came to door, had to go to second location to pay my bill in person, location where my unit is located had no one there with no note when would return.

Was having trouble catching someone in the office at the sellersburg location. I have had a unit there for a few years. My card for autopay expired and I was having trouble doing it on line so I stopped at the Applegate Lane location and Vanetta was awesome. Please read full review before making any decisions based off my review: I have recently rented a 5’ x 10’ storage unit at the facility in Clarksville, IN. I also have a 5’ x 5’ storage unit space in Sellersburg, IN. Both of the facilities are very nice compared to a lot of others. I cannot say most others because I haven’t seen a whole lot of other facilities, except on the outside passing by or what have you. I also have a 5’ x 5’ facility that I am currently trying to get rid of because the facilities are not up to standard, even with having security cameras, I do not feel my items are safe. I do have insurance, but I would rather have the items instead. The unnamed storage facility does not have a gate you come in and out of to even be able to access the storage facility. I like that there is that extra layer of protection at Public Storage that I wish the other place had. I got a great deal on the units being a first time renter. BUT I rented my units in February and I got a paper in the mail stating just ONE of my units is going up $36 starting June 1st. If I would have known that the unit was going to increase that drastically in that short period of time, I never would have rented from them and would have gone elsewhere. I feel like the bait-and-switch act was pretty dirty to do to any renter. So, I will be looking elsewhere to rent from, so I can get the security I desire, somewhere open 24/7… which brings me to another point. The ONLY thing I like about the other facility I am using is the fact it is open 24/7. (Which it doesn’t look like they would be able to enforce it not being open all day.) Public Storage closes at 9 and for me doing most of my work through the day and then taking it to storage at night, it’s not very convenient for me. I constantly get emails reminding me of their business hours. I know I can get everything I am looking for without having to sacrifice more money, not having a 24/7 facility, protection and customer service somewhere else. If they wouldn’t have jacked the prices up out of nowhere, especially as much as they have, I would not be looking elsewhere for alternative storage. It’s going to be a lot of work having to move all of the stuff out of those units.

We made a stressful move into the area from Florida a couple weeks ago and had to find storage. Vanetta was so nice and helpful. The process was quick and easy and our unit was clean and it is very secure. As we were offloading, our two little boys were playing around, Vanetta came and checked on us a couple of times and chatted with our kids. That was a little ray of sunshine.

I rent a storage unit at the Sellersburg location, I went to the Clarksville location because the Sellersburg office was closed. I am wanting to get out of the 10/30 unit I have now and rent a smaller unit. I was greeted by Miss Vanetta I explained to her what I was wanting and She was very helpful. Her and I went outside and it was cold and windy she showed me a couple different size units. Miss Vanetta was very friendly, considerate of my needs and helpful. I’ve been renting from Public Storage since 2018 and I’ve never had any issues from the staff everyone is always helpful and friendly! And will go above and beyond to make the customer happy!

Vanetta saved the day. I had started a reservation online for the Sellersburg location. When I arrived at the facility the office was closed. I called the number on the door, and was told someone should be there soon. Shortly after that call, I received a call from another rep letting me know the office would remain closed for the day. She mentioned the Clarksville location. We drove over and Vanetta was kind enough to show us a unit at her location, but was willing to set up our rental at Sellersburg. She really came through for us and, in my opinion, went above and beyond to help us out!! She even called later that day to make sure we were able to get in and that everything was ok.

Clean, secure facility. Prices were comparable to other storage units. The big draw back for me was the fact that you cannot access your stored goods from 9pm-6am. I don't know about you I like to have access to my belongings 24/7.
