Waipahu Self Storage Off of Highway 99
When looking for cheap self storage units in the Waipahu area, this Public Storage is a great choice.
Located right near the intersection of Ka Uka Boulevard and the Kamehameha Highway, it's a convenient location for customers in Waipahu, Mililani and Waipi'o.
A 5x5 unit is great to store hiking gear, beach gear or electronics, while a 10x10 unit is a great place for residents near West Loch Estates to store bulky clothing items, small tables, lamps or even golf clubs and surfboards.
Even folks in Pearl City can head north on the H2 freeway to grab a large 10x30 unit if a day at the Waikele Premium Outlets got a bit out of hand, and some extra space is needed right away.

Nobody in office at 9:30 am
Lock on my space for no reason
I came on 11/24/24 at 7pm to access my unit and elevator wasn’t working. The manager lives on property with all his lights on and 2 cars there. He wouldn’t answer phone to help and the site says they close at 9 pm
I got no call back about elevator on 11/25/25 at 8:45, still don’t know if I can access my unit and still didn’t get a call back. They will loose my biz today due to the terrible customer service and huge change in storage fees. Still waiting for a call back?!
I rented a 5x5 storage space at this location. In the span of less than a year, the storage fee went from $86.91 to $124.61 per month. If that wasn't bad enough, a month later, it went up to $163.35, per month. That tiny space isn't worth half of that.
There is no way in hell raising the rate by $76.44 can be considered normal. When confronted about this crazy amount, the only thing these criminals say is that I signed an agreement indicating that all units are subject to a rate increase. They literally hide behind this as justification to jack up the rates to any amount they want. A rate increase is fine -- but two in less than one year, for a little 5x5 unit, totaling $76.44, is insane and should be illegal.
I do not recommend this facility -- or any with Public Storage. The manager should be fired for running such a shady operation.
Smaller sized storage facility, yet still secure. The units are located both outside along the inner perimeter and in a small building. Its gate access which you can download their app to easily open using bluetooth. Property is well kept and clean. Front office is located right at the entrance and usually always has someone available if theyre not out and about the grounds.

The manager helped me reduce my bill for few months. My bill will increase again in few months. It’s getting a lot harder to pay the bill. Company helped to lower my bill for little while. Thanks

Hello my name is Sam, normally you would not find me posting about anything or anyone not my style. But, this time I'll make a exception. Yesterday while helping a friend move his things to "Public Storage" gentry, I found myself in a predicament I was lost. Unable to find my storage bin. After walking around for close to 40 min I decided to go to the office and get directions. But, on my way I would run into one of their employee. But, this being his first day now we both are lost. Walking around another 15-20 min looking for this elusive storage unit. But, he would reassure me "don't worry I'm going to stay with you and we are going to find this unit". True to his word he stayed and, we found. I hope you" P Storage " realize how lucky you are having him as your employee, because this 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ is for him. Your on site Manager Louis has always been very customer friendly, knowledgeable & professional in meeting our current needs.
However, we were surprised at the present look of the office. Although the Office was clean we didn’t see the water cooler, TV, fridge and all storage products.
We have been to other facilities to pay our bill and those locations seem what the Waipio site use to be.
We are “longtime” customers of Public Storage “Thanks” to site Managers like Louis.
It was my first time at this location and Diane made it so easy for me to rent a space! She is wonderful, kind and very welcoming! Love that type of spirit here! Thanks so much!

I had an absolutely awesome experience with Louis yesterday. There were some issues with my account and the app that corporate couldn't fix from their end (which, in my honest opinion, were issues that they should ordinarely be able to resolve) but Louis found a way to work around them and resolved all the issues so I could make full use of my rental unit and the app. Louis was very friendly, accomodating, and knowledgable. He's truly an asset to this company!
