This place is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!! DONT LEASE HERE! The customer service is atrocious. They've been holding my belongings hostage since October, I've been trying to get my items and every time it's a large amount of money. First time it was 250 next it was 243 now it's 238. Mind you my rent amount is only 99 dollars plus tax. I'm not paying these SCAMMERS another dime and I'm getting a lawyer. This is ridiculous. I think what happened is my unit was damaged in the storm and now they doing anything they can so I'll just give up, they know exactly what they're doing and I won't stand for it. Anyone want in my fb is the same as here. Reach out, we can't let these people do this to us. All my loved ones who's no longer with us memories is in that unit. I will not keep getting scammed and neither should yall.

The gate to exit the facility has been broken for several months. As others have mentioned, this facility has rats. You have to reverse out of the loading dock since the gate is broken, so you’re out of luck if someone parks behind you. I’ve had to park outside the building to get anything done. Seriously, if you’re looking for a local storage unit choose anywhere else.
Horrible customer service, elevators did not work for weeks and could not get a call back from a regional or location manager. Samantha was the ONLY one who respected me as a customer when I could get a hold of her, when she was on shift. Corporate did not even know the elevators and bay doors didn't work, they were never informed. When I could get sort of an update, it was, the elevators will be fixed tomorrow, tomorrow never came! They are finally working now, as of nov 1st! On top of all that, they have rats, saw one myself just today as I got off the elevator on the second floor going into vents leading to 2057, so if you have a unit close to 2057, check your stuff!

Little to no parking, The bay door has been broken for months, they wouldn't allow anybody in to get their stuff for a while, turns out there are rats in the units and there was rat droppings on everything in my shed and when I complained and wanted to file a report, They told me I had to show proof of purchase for everything in that shed…who has the receipts for their furniture they purchased decades ago?! I hope other public storage locations aren't run like this.

Literally rented a unit two days before the hurricane Milton hit paid $162.00 and now they telling me I can't get my money back or a credit and the property is closed due to the hurricane I never even got to use my storage.public storage in Tampa sucks
As soon as the power comes on, I'm getting my belongings OUT of this place. It is FULL of RATS. I'm sure they will delay as much as they can and use this Hurricane as an excuse to inconvenience the customers. Don't recommend this facility.
BEWARE. Because its important for the public to know, this place doesn't deserve even ONE star. This storage facility has a HUGE RAT 🐀 infestation and nothing has been done to resolve the issue. Management is terrible here. If you see RATS 🐀 in BROAD daylight running around at the entrance of your facility, that means you have not done anything to rectify the issue. They are multiplying and it's GETTING WORSE. Everytime I open my gate to my unit, I see see RAT FECES 🐀 EVERYWHERE. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AN THERE'S NO EXCUSE FOR IT. DO NOT RENT HERE. Also, the Gate has been broken for MONTHS, which could be making things worse. Master Splinters little cousins have taken over Public Storage and are living here rent free. BEWARE.
I am with them over one year. Prices have increased big time. Few weeks ago I found a dead rat in my storage. It smells very bad. I tried to contact several people including district manager. None of them have replied me back. It been two weeks. I am very disappointed. No one is helping me. What a shame! Now you can see rats poops on my things. Again they have not replied me back. Im telling you dont rent your stuff from them.

RENTER BEWARE!!!!!! I have held off for months writing this review, and from what I’ve read in the other reviews, not much I’m about to say will come as a surprise but I figured I’d atleast express my dissatisfaction in hopes that things will change.
I left my last storage for the same reasons I’m about to list here. The entrance overhead door has been broken for months and stuck open which means anyone can access the facility and break into the units if they wanted to which is a massive security risk. The overhead door to exit is also broken and stuck shut which means on a busy day it is almost impossible to exit safely and creates big problem for movers.
One of the elevators has been broken for months as well which on a busy day makes it a nightmare if you’re trying to access units on anything other than the first floor. They are down to only one cart for the whole building which is broken beyond usability (see photo attached photo).
They were quick to raise my storage rent within the first couple months of renting from them to almost double what I agreed upon due to signing my contract. You would think that with all the money they are charging us by raising our rents they could fix everything that’s broken and clean the facility every once in a while considering it’s constantly FILTHY!!! But I suppose all that money goes towards paying the electric bill since that A/C is working overtime to cool a facility with a massive garage door stuck open 24/7 IN FLORIDA!!!!!! These are not “climate controlled units and they offer very little security since you can walk in whenever you want even if you are not a renter.
Lastly one of the two bathrooms is out of order for months as well. Not hugely inconvenient but again, get it together guys. Very disappointing to see how little this facility is maintained for the obscene amount of money they are charging.
It’s convenient for me because it’s right down the street from my house and I really don’t want to hassle with moving my stuff again, but if things don’t change soon, I will be forced to move my stuff out and find a facility that actually is worth the money I’m paying.
As it stands, I would not recommend this place and highly suggest you look for another storage facility unless this place magically changes in the near future.
I must say yesterday was a horrible day, but walking into a welcoming place like this one made it a lot better. I was running late on a payment and was stressed out not being able to pay with my tap. A nice young lady assisted me on finding an alternative option to be able to make my payment on time. That made my day so much better and having Rachel help me made it 10x better. Great Customer Service 👍🏼!

For 2024, I can count on one hand how many times I have been able to use the garage door to exit. Not to mention, the senc elevator has been down for months. There appears to be absolutely no sense of urgency to fix anything there. The AC on the 3rd floor was down for months as well. Since they no longer close the entry garage door, the solution seems to be them making the restrooms inaccessible. As much money as they make per month, it is upsetting nothing works there.
After getting the run around for weeks! I called and spoke with Rachel and she went above and beyond to help me keep my auction unit that I won!!!!!!! she walked me through the process and was professional and compassionate the whole process!!!! thank you again Rachel you we're God sent!!!!!!
Do NOT use this storage place! I rented a storage unit last week and was not informed at rental that their Gate had been broken for MONTHS and that the building was warm. Had I been privy to this information I would have never rented a unit at this location. Saturday I went to check on my stuff and not only was it still warm on the 3rd floor but I saw a live roach! Not a big one, but a small German roach which tells me this place has a roach problem. Now I have to worry about mold due to the temperature and roaches infesting my things. I called the property manager today to voice my concerns and see what’s going on and she told me that the building is warm b/c due to one of the Gates being broken the other Gate is left open 24/7 and heat rises. Now why am I paying all this money for a climate control space and it’s hot on a 3rd floor unit & managers/staff knew this for months! Not to mention having a gate open 24/7 that’s supposed to be closed/access code only sounds like a security issue. But the craziest thing is when I voiced how this information should be disclosed to people when they are signing up to rent a unit, the property manager told me and I quote “ We actually talked to legal and we do not need to inform people that the gate is broken or when it is fixed”. So heads up people they’re knowingly renting out units without disclosing current issues that affect the service you pay for.

Terrible. Storage facility is off of a very chaotic and busy road. Only one elevator working. The broken elevator has been down for months and management has not fixed it. Also, the garage front door is broken. This garage door has also not worked properly for MONTHS. Now everyone has to back out in order to exit the garage. Imagine how tedious and irritating that will become when its crowded and multiple moving trucks are blocking the exit. Bathrooms constantly dirty and dead cockroaches are all over floors. Oh and let's not forget the homeless individuals who sneak inside the facility and sleep inside the units overnight. Staff/management need to get their priorities straight because charging over $100.00 a month for below average service will not get the job done. Already planning my exit and doing business elsewhere. Wouldn't recommend this facility.

3 people who have shown up to the location have already left from an excessive wait. Absolutely horrible customer service both from the customer service representative that you call on the front door of the door that says “This door shall not be locked during business hours” to the fact that I’ve been sitting outside of the location (locked) for an hour with no one to arrive. I purchased a storage unit and have rented a truck just for no one to be here from 1:10-2:20pm. The “support” number is someone trying to sell you a unit and the customer service says there’s nothing they can do as well. There are TONS of storage locations that are clean and timely. SAVE YOURSELF the headaches of this one.
The drive in doors have been broken for almost 4 months zero secure facility and now there is an ac leak in the hallway above my unit and affecting ruining my stuff inside and I can’t get a hold of anyone because no one is ever on site during working hours.
Hi so i rented a unit with this company and when i moved in the lady that moved me in didnt tell me everything she said that they dont sell your stuff till u are 90 days past due with out payment i have called and talked to several workers they say one thing and operate in another this place told me i had till end of mouth to pay and move out and when i go to make the rest of payment i find out they solded my stuff i had been told by this location that the district manger would reach out several people have called and i stated same thing to be told i was ok till end of month now i gott hope the buy has a heart and wants to talk to me so i can get my memories back and my kids feeding supplies

RENTERS BEWARE!!! Public Storage is known for raising their rates on long term renters. Around 10 years ago, I moved OUT of rat infested 30th St. Public Storage after they raised the rent for the 10th time. I came to this NEW Fowler location under different owners. The prior owners were professional, had 9 carts, kept it clean, office was open normal business hours, veteran and senior discounts and they offered a nice meeting space for renters! Public Storage bought it and distributed 7 of the carts to their other locations, the 2 left have bad wheels. They took away the meeting space, and the office is apparently only temporarily staffed. And, over a few years more than doubled my rent. They leave the garage doors open (we have codes to open then so why are they open?) This causes the A/C to pour out meaning they are really not climate controlled or private. They just raised my rent AGAIN from $90+ to $125. I went online and they are advertising that same size unit for $61, where's the logic in that? Enough is enough, I moved to a location that is NOT owned by Public Storage. Moving out was a chore, the cart wheel was broken and dragged. Even though my code on the elevator said "Welcome (my name)" the elevator didn't open for 10 minutes. The office man told another couple (who were waiting for my cart) the elevator was working just fine, until I went to the office and told him it is not working. He finally came and put in his code then told the other couple it was "user error." I've used that elevator for 10 years, it wasn't user error. The original owners had payment due-date based on the day you moved in but Public Storage moved everyone to the beginning of the month, meaning everyone wishing to move out is leaving at the end of the month. BEWARE, if you try to get a cart or parking space to access your stuff at the end of the month, you may wait a long time for a cart.
On any review I ALWAYS start with customer service. I had the pleasure of having Mrs. Ro and Ms. Nadia helping me through a crazy process of renting. I rented multiple storage and needed to change and the process of canceling and changing took time and patience because I did everything online. I had to return a few times because I was moving out another storage at another location and they really stepped up for me. Thank you for the help and patience. Now the storage location is great for me and I love that I can pull in and unload or load my things out of the rain or sun. Others have stated (with pictures) about waiting in line to park inside when it’s busy. I understand that but I just waited but you have the option to unload outside and bring your things in like other places. The AC is cold and the place is clean and the customer service in my experience was excellent. Thank you again RO and Nadia.

Worst unit ever ! They charge so much and always have had issues with access code . No one is ever available at the property , you can keep calling . Limited carts ! Just so freaking disappointing. Pleas save yourself from trouble and never rent out here.
They charged me for a full month even when o vacated in 7 days of a month. No other storage does that.

This store is pretty new and it was beautiful when it first opened and it was beyond self storage, then PS bought it out and the appearance of the place went down and the prices went up. When I left there I was paying double what I paid before for a junkie loading dock with trash piled up in the corners stains all over the dock. I wondered with all the food trash on the docks how bad is the rodent problem there. I say run as fast as you can and pass this place up.

Clean place, no complaints on that… But the drive up thing… hummm horrible. Clients do not consider, only one line for a lot of people!!! They didn’t think about the weekends been the busiest time. This place is no good 😕 . They think they slik when its time to pay the bill. They say the system is down or acting up, so the payment will come later, and they can charge Late fees . on to them .Plus, they charge so much for some rundown units on top of that, and i mean, rundown .

I'm trying to confirm that my account is closed out (I've moved all my stuff), but no one was in the office during office hours and no one answers the phone. I feel like they are trying to sneak another month of payment out of me and then somehow blaming me for not jumping through hoops properly.

Place has gone downhill consistently since Public Storage purchased. No dolly carts are available in building and they must have staffing problems because the place is filthy and no one in office hardly during business hours. Today a sign hung in window saying they would open at 1:30pm.

Customer service sucks when you try to contact somebody they never respond and no one’s in the office. When you decide to leave ore vacate the storage unit they will still charge you even if you take the lock.

Public storage is a complete rip off...they get you in, promise you a low price then in 6 months raise your bill by $200 and the customer service is horrible.
Customer service SUCKS!! I been trying to communicate with someone for days now & the office is always closed; even during "open" hours. No one opens the door or answers phone calls no matter how long you wait outside.
Today I finally show up to see a sign that says the manager will be back from lunch by 2pm. It is 3:30pm lights are on inside and still no one opens the door.
My lucky day met with Alicia, she was very kind and helpful since this is the first time for me to use self-storage. She introduced me all the information that I need to know regarding the storage and showed me how’s the storage looks like in different area. Very good first time experience. Thank you.

My girlfriend drove all the way from Fort Lauderdale to arrive to this location on time before they close at 6 pm. She arrived at 4:50pm and nobody was here. There was a sign saying that someone will return at 5pm. It is currently 5 minutes till close and nobody has shown and the corporate office has been unhelpful. This is absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional.
