Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 8727 Philips Hwy, Jacksonville, FL

I had reservations got a call the office would be shut down at 2 pm the day I was to move in asked to go to baymeadows to complete paperwork needed address tried to call turned in to a disaster went to another storage facility. I will never try to rent here again!!

Tammy expedited my needs exceeding my expectations! She advocate concerns, requests and without even being asked!!! Who does that anymore! Tammy does! Client for life! Well done and thank you!!!

Tammy has been so helpful and kind helping me through the process of renting a climate controlled storage unit. She went above and beyond to ensure I had a unit close to the gate since my belongings were being delivered via PODS and now the movers will not have to transport my things across the entire facility to pack my storage unit. Absolutely the worst storage facility in Florida. You're better off going anywhere else. No employees on site, lots of theft, and their phone number doesn't even work. But don't worry because if you sign up now your first month is only $1!

Don't every rent here, not only will your stuff get ruined and they will take zero responsibility, but they will also increase your rate every few months. I went from spending $80 to over $200 for an air conditioned unit that leaked on my furniture and destroyed $4,000 worth of furniture. They won't do anything to make it right. Customer service is terrible, directing you in different directions to not take responsibility for anything, you will regret every using Public Storage, I know I do.

My experience at Public Storage has been only positive. Firstly, and most importantly, was the personal help I received from Nadia. I had just moved to Jacksonville from New Jersey and was quite overwhelmed, to say the least. Nadia helped me to secure a unit with patience. She was knowledgeable about every aspect of the process and she was, and continues to be, a pleasure to work with. Thanks Public Storage and thanks Nadia for all you do to help me make this move a little less stressful!

Advertisement is a total scam. They say "first month $1, next month $33. Which is why we specifically drove way too far for this location because after making a reservation, it was only supposed to be $24 the first month (some one time fee despite the $1 ad), which was fine, but then get there and the lady, albeit very polite, fast talks us into some outrageuos price, agrees to break it into two payments, $75 for the first month (some mandatory insurance + who knows what other fees) and somehow now $55 for the next (it's never gone down, stayed at $55)? So much for $25 (originally $1) to move in and $33 for the next months. Don't come here just because they advertise that FALSE quote. Just get whatever you're close to. My brother in law says they did the same thing to him and his family. Many people who need storage units are in emergencies trying to save their stuff on a budget. This type of baiting and gouging is ridiculous. Then the lady (who was at least personable) reminded me 3x to review her on Google so. Here we are. If I hadn't made the reservation ahead of time in a jam I honestly would have walked out. This place is a d*MN scam.

Charged card twice and I never got a unit. Called the hotline and was told to go to the office because it was a problem they were having. So today we went to the storage place and the note on the door said go to baymeadows storage. We didn't...what a hassle!

I am a paying customer that has a unit at this establishment, Public Storage. Yesterday, my disabled fiancée’s car would not start and he asked the only person working there, Sami, to please help him jump his car. My fiancée is autistic and has trouble expressing himself, therefore, Sami refused to help jump his car (she claimed it would “mess her car up”), which is fine - being a kind person has nothing to do with effective customer service. She was not obligated to help my disabled fiancée, as he literally was on the verge of tears, pleading for help. She did not offer for him to sit in the air conditioned office, and frankly treated him like a burden as opposed to a human being. The temperature at 5:33pm (when I arrived at the storage unit) was over 90 degrees. As my fiancée jumped his car, using my battery, I went to the front office, which closes at 6pm. Again, it was 5:35pm, and the door was locked/no one was tending to the office. I hear a voice behind me state with exasperation, “hold on!” Sami, who had been sitting in her “broken” car, was kind enough to unlock the office she was meant in be working at. Committing time theft from the company you work for is no light matter. Additionally, she appeared, smelled and sounded intoxicated after coming from her car. Her breath reeked. I asked for her manager’s contact info, and she gave me the corporate office number as she said, “but it won’t do nothing.” I asked her why she wouldn’t help me fiancée - because he is disabled? Had he been in a wheel chair, would she have been more considerate and performed her job? She told me her job was to simply sit at the desk. By the way, I asked corporate to pull ALL the surveillance footage during my exchange with Sami, because it was so bizarre. As I pulled out of the storage units, I stopped and took a picture of her car, which was parked in a public space in front of the building. Sami flew from the building, screaming at me, threatening that I would “lose my storage unit” (I’m omitting expletives for obvious reasons). I have filed a formal complaint with the corporate office, but I’m genuinely considering taking legal action. This woman was high, committing time theft and threatening paying customers. If that type of behavior is condoned by her employer, perhaps more actions need to occur in order for this company to treat disabled people with the same respect one would give an able-bodied person. Discrimination is, after all, a federal offense.

I was in the store yesterday when all this took place and the front desk lady Heather was very professional it was the other dude Juan who came in acting loud and crazy and was yelling rasict slurs for no reason, funny how when people don't get there way they like to go to social media to get something free...cameras never lie rewind them

The worst public storage in the state. The girl in front is the most rude. It insults you and disrespects you. This is a lack of tolerance for the customer should be penalized and public store should do something about it. A lack of respect that they have to treat us like this even as members and paying a membership for their service.

Sandra was very courteous and helpful when I signed. I had mentioned that extending access hours was very important to me and she made it seem like it would be easy to grant, very nonchalant about it. Most facilities are 24 hours like Atlantic SS. She said she would submit the request same day. Lease signing is electronic so ask for a printed copy. A month went by and lo and behold I was unable to access just after 9pm. I called customer service who couldn’t even authenticate my info for the call saying my driver’s license number on file did not match the one I gave her over the phone. I finally talked to the property manager who made extending hours seem like a pretty big ask and could not guarantee it. I also had a time getting the rolltop door on my outside unit to close half the time. They have crates of brand new doors sitting in the corner of the prop. No wonder. I eventually terminated towards the end of the month and of course they were unwilling to prorate the remainder of my unused days that month. The ladies working on site are nice enough but…not exactly a wonderful experience for reasons above. Do yourself a favor and go with Atlantic instead.

I've been meaning to write this review! Every since I got a storage here, the manager is BEYOND the best! She helped me threw the process when I fell behind! She is always so cheerful and ready to help you and make sure the process is smooth. Even though this is just a storage facility she makes it feel like everything but! I recommend renting from here if you need to put some stuff away for awhile. The manager and ONLY the manager is the hardest working and best people person ever!! Thank you sooo much!

I would not recommend public storage as they don’t spray for pests. Also, the new manager there isn’t that pleasant either. When Ivy was there she was nice, respectable and returned your calls.

If I could give ZERO STARS, I WOULD! My husband, David Williams and I reserved the unit online and received an email stating that we needed $25 ($1 for first months rent, and $24 for Admin fees) when we arrived to sign papers. When my husband arrived at the facility, the manager was stating it would be $50, $60 and then $70. The manager could not give an exact amount at any time during the visit. When my husband attempted to show the manager a copy of the received email, he wouldn't even look at it. We have an appointment for 4/21/20 @ 10am to attempt to rent the unit we reserved. We would like the owner of this facility to contact us TODAY! My husband's phone number is available at the facility since they have used it to contact him regarding this unit.

This was the easiest thing to do. Rep was awesome and very helpful.

Sandra and Shameki were absolutely lovely and polite. I was so flustered upon walking in about my last minute reservation but they were so helpful and patient. I argued about not understanding the cost I getting the $1 promo, I argues the insurance cost, yet they took the time to explain and show me the costs tabulation in detail. This company has a great onsite team with these ladies. I was so satisfied I referred my friend and son, and will keep referring other to this location.

They cheated me out of $20 for a lock; insisted I had to buy their new lock style; even when I said I was a loyal customer from Milwaukee & had a round lock purchased from public storage. Then when I get into the units, I see everyone else had the old round style or regular pad locks; lied to me again when I questioned this. Units are up ramps with railings which makes their flat carts hard to use. My location you had to code in & out of; very inconvenient

This property is a great one with Pat and Peter. I have only had pleasant experiences with both of them. Pat has gone above and beyond the call of duty to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. Tiffany was wonderful! Patient and helpful with us and even shared her umbrella with me and walked me to my car in the rain.. Being in customer service myself, those things make me appreciate her more and would recommend this place to everyone!

Miss Tiffany made renting storage easy and pleasant. She is very knowledgeable and professional. The facilities are well tended and serve my basic needs. I was kind of suprised there was no lighting in the unit itself. There is a light in the hall. Nothing a good flashlight can't cure though and l won't be spending that much time in there anyway.

Tiffany from Public storage is the best. She has great customer service skills. We came in a few days ago inquiring about a climate control unit that's reasonably priced and she was a big help and we were able to get the storage the same day with no hassle. A update on this review. After I made another call to Ivy she was successful in getting a manager to contact me. They have placed traps and did waive a month rent, called bug company and offered to clean my unit. I have not been able to get there but I believe they made this right. - - - I have found rat poop in my unit. I have made a complaint to the office manager and to date haven't heard a word to what the plan on doing. They are very quick to apply a late fee to your account and refuses to remove even when it's because of fraudulent activity to card that was being used. I started renting my unit for $49.00 monthly two years later my unit is now $68.00. There are many more storage companies with climate control for this price.

Rachel has made this experience better. I am in a transitional stage of building a company and chances outside of the company are not tolerated. Rachel understood this and helped to make sure that my stay with public storage would be remarkable. I would avoid this company. Frequent rent increases on two units that I occupied. Paid for all of August and moved out on the 7th, and refused to reimburse us for the weeks I was not there. They have a serious rodent and cockroach issue.

While visiting this location to inquire about renting a storage space I was introduced to a very friendly and professional Public Storage employee named Lauren. While inquiring, Lauren was very detailed and possessed a great deal of knowledge of the different aspects with renting a storage space. She asked a great deal of questions as well as answeringy the quite but of questions that I had as well. She was very informative and helpful. I have a small storage unit with them for about 5 months and out of nowhere they raised my rent 10 dollars for no reason, the guy I spoke to said that it has to do with the market or something and that its on my contract somewhere that they can do that. So basically they can raise ur rent at any time with no f#*&S given. Stay away unless you like surprises ill be taking my business elsewhere.
