Tammy at public storage (5340 Tacoma) is awesome!very knowledgeable and always seems happy and willing to accommodate in anyway she can.she even waited on me to get there just before close,I made it on time but I know she didn’t get to leave when she was supposed to because I was so late arriving!anyone else would have been a jerk but she was all smiles like it was no big deal.For me this was a big deal and if I didn’t get my space I would have had to pay another day on truck rental!hope her employers know what a great employee they have!
Easy to schedule and rent online. Polite and nice people to deal with at the location. The only thing is the time frame to be out by. Other that all is great.

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT RENT THERE. When I put my things into what I thought was a climate controlled unit, my things were bug free. Moved my things out today and everything is infested with roaches!! BIG AND LITTLE ROACHES!! I had to get rid of some of my most prized possessions because roach eggs and droppings were all over them. I had to put a roach bomb on the U-Haul to try an salvage the few things that I wanted to keep. However, the attendant was nice and helpful regarding me filing a claim. Hopefully they will reimburse me for some of my things that I lost.

I won an online unit from storage treasures at this location and Tammy gave me the extra time I needed to clean out the unit. I got it cleaned out mostly over the weekend and what was left was heavy furniture so Tammy gave me an extra day to clean it out and it was more than enough time for me to get it cleaned out. Well my first encounter was really really great and then I had to stop and realize I have not gone back to put stuff in my storage together for the lock on the lock which is cool now that I understand the situation they were very good very helpful and I'm grateful

Holy cow!! Go see Tammy!! I never thought I would have the opportunity to say this about a self storage place employee, but she absolutely goes above and beyond. Most helpful person I’ve dealt with, and I have had many many storage units in my ears ๐

I won’t give 1 star! They’re never in the office at this location and payment changes !! This is horrible when you need to talk with them ! I’ve left severmsgs and stil can’t contact these people
DO NOT RENT HERE!! Upon walking up to the unsecured door that was stuck, there was a German roach, meaning they are most likely infested. There is no cameras inside the buildings, not climate control (I must have over looked that), the storage doors are thin wood, with basic locking mechanisms that can easily be busted off, no light inside the unit which I didn’t realize I needed to bring my own, and the kicker of it all was there was large rodent droppings covering the trimming of the walls!
The office was closed an hr before closing time so I couldn’t talk to anyone on the property. I called the 800 number to get a refund, and you guessed it, I am out of the money that I put down on the unit! I have rented from cube smart, Atlantic, and extra Space, and I will gladly pay their higher costs for a cleaner secured unit!! This is your warning, do not rent from here!!

And based off this experience with this location. I’d never recommend Public storage anywhere .

My gate code doesn’t work during inactive hours but clearly on the fence it says access from 6 am to 9 I wanted 24 hours I decided on this in a hurry and can’t even access during the hours they have on the gate smh

Know your code
We called and asked about the width of a doorway. The person we spoke to put us on hold and 'went to measure'. The measurements they gave us were a full foot incorrect. Ended up driving here from across town to find out the doors were not wide enough. Very frustrating, especially since we explained that we had already been dragged around town by other places doing this exact thing. Irritated that we were lied to enough to not use Public Storage in the future.
Should be SIX Stars. Christian was most helpful assisting me obtaining a storage unit at Public Storage.

This place is dirty. They over charge, and they lied about their mice infestation. The employee assured me there were not any mice. Found out there were when they tore apart my belongings. Place stinks!

I recently got my things out of storage and I was put off by the offer for $1 for the first month and I never received it bc it wasnt going on at the time I got mine back in March. I was speaking to Pam about it and she ended up pulling some strings and refunded my money back. I am very pleased! Thank you Pam!!!!!!
I just rented my storage unit last week and the staff here has been nothing but amazing!!! From me renting my original unit to having to transfer all my stuff too a bigger unit, which was beyond stressful. Shannon, Vickie, and Christian..... Phenomenal, pleasant, and a blessing ๐

I'm just signed up for a rental unit with the Catoma office after walking thru the property and meeting the staff. Special shut out the Beth for making the process easy and comfortable. Her knowledge and experience was appreciated ๐. She answered all my questions and concerns about moving and what to expect and to be prepared for. I would recommend anyone thinking about moving or looking for storage to make a appointment with Beth and walk thru the property. Have A Happy 2022 Year ๐๐
If I could give zero star, I will. I rented storage from May 2020 to January 2021. They increased the rent fee and when I asked the manager what's the basis of increase (through email) instead of explaining, answered that they are the better storage than any other competitor.
When I finally decided to end my rent, I did not even use any of my stuff 'cause it was full of hundreds of roaches. Cockroaches. I would not like to contaminate my new house by bringing roaches so I ended up throwing away all my stuff even some of those have sentimental values. Terrible experience. And every time I pass that Public storage in Catoma St., I cringe. so disgusting place.
