Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 3230 Pierce Street, Richmond, CA

Moved out 5 days prior to end of the month and they somehow still trying to ask for money and sold my information to a collection agency. Stay away. Prices are extremely high and 90% of the time staffs are absent when you need help.

The clerk at the location was very friendly. He recognized me from coming a few times. On my last visit I have forgotten to close my storage unit properly. He reached out right away and secured my unit. He was very helpful and I feel very fortunate to have this hard working young man at my storage facility.

We had a great experience with PublicStorage off Pierce Street. Luciana was accommodating from the get go. I came in during Covid and all necessary precautions were recognized, including masks and a plexiglass-glass window pane between me and her. She clearly gave me the info I needed in order to reserve at the best rate possible, and when it actually came time to store my things, she was able exceed my expectation on what unit I was going to receive. A few months in I had placed my lock 🔐 incorrectly on our unit which left our door un-secure! Luciana was the one to call and let me know right away so that I could come lock up the unit! We just moved out of PublicStorage off Pierce and Luciana gave us a warm send off. She closed our account and we are leaving with a very satisfying experience with this location. Thank you Luciana and staff!!

Super easy to reserve on line. Amazingly responsive. I even got a call to confirm my reservation since it was a same day last minute reservation and they wanted to make sure to meet my needs since it was all last minute. She suggested I could also pay and complete the reservation on line or I was welcome to finalize the process in the office. I elected for in office. I'm actually glad I did only because I got to meet Luciana, who runs the place, called me when I made the reservation, and walked me through the entire process. Her attitude, professionalism, knowledge about the business was perfect. I truly felt my business was welcome and appreciated.

I had a smooth and personable time renting a unit from this Public Storage location! Luciana, the on-site property manager, was super friendly and offered me a unit that had a better price than what I was offered on the phone. I was running late for my appointment to see the unit that I reserved via phone, and Luciana was very understanding when I called her to postpone my appointment for an hour. Once I got to the site, she clearly informed me of my options and the facility's procedures. I feel confident that my items will be secure in this facility.

I LOVE Public Storage and highly recommend the location on Pierce St. in Richmond, CA. Luciana is amazing! She is very knowledgeable, professional, and provides great customer service. Luciana is also very responsive, it made my updated reservation and check-in process easier. I am a return customer. I’ve rented units here twice before and currently. The units can accommodate a variety of needs. I currently have a 9x10 unit, but I’ve rented the smaller units as well. This property is close to the 80/580 freeways, but also accessible by public transit (AC Transit bus and the nearest BART is El Cerrito Plaza). This property is also well-maintained and clean. I have never experienced any issues at this Public Storage with theft or damage to property of any sort, not even pests or rodents. If you are looking for storage, I highly recommend choosing this location.

I needed a storage space unit on the same day; I called at 2:30pm, scheduled an appointment at 4:30pm, got everything moved in and squared away by that evening. Luciana walked me through the process every step of the way and was able to answer all my questions and concerns. I feel safe to have my belongings stored at this facility and to have Luciana as the on-site manager. I recommend this Public Storage if you want to quickly get in and get out with moving and storing your things without any fuss or hassle; it's an easily accessible site. I have used Public Storage at other locations and generally have been satisfied with the service and facilities. This location on the border of Richmond & El Cerrito however is fantastic. Luciana the property & business manager at 3230 Pierce Street has been nothing but professional and friendly every time I see her. On her days off she employs Kevin who along with watching over the office and making (friendly) phone call reminders to all of us who wait to pay our bills on the last day of billing. That has helped me avoid late fees since I prefer not to enroll in auto-pay. Beyond being professional and customer service oriented Kevin has lots of work experience in other industries which I learned after we talked Home Depot for a few minutes. Between the staff, the well lit, secure facilities and the nearby interstate 80 Central Ave. exit this Public Storage franchise has got it going on. Sincerely, a satisfied renter

I move a lot, so I've worked with a lot of movers and storage people. When we got there today, the unit I had reserved was not available. No problem! Just choose a new unit from this list. We even got upgraded to a ground floor unit from one upstairs. Luciana was an absolute pleasure. She is friendly and personable, while being efficient and knowledgeable. 10/10. Would definitely use this storage company again. Especially this location.

Moving for the first time was an overwhelming experience. There were so many highs and lows, but one person I would like to thank is Luciana. She helped me find the right storage unit, walked me through the detailed step by step process, she communicated with me, her energy was great, she was kind and understanding. Luciana, who helped me out, is awesome. But the business is kinda deceptive. I reserved a 5x5 unit online, but was shown something that is closer to 4x4 with the wall studs, and was told this is the way it is, and the sizing is "approximated". The "boss", I didn't catch his name, haughtily said they measure the unit from the outside--very helpful, considering stuff goes on the inside! Additionally they force you to buy a $25 lock and $11 insurance--neither of which is mentioned clearly. So in the end really they bring you in with somewhat deceptive statements, and hope to lock you in once you're there. In my humble opinion this isn't smart business--just be straight up with what the customer will be getting. I'm not sure if this kind of thing is standard in this industry, but just a heads up. Other than that it's okay and Luciana is great.

Luciana is amazing. Every time I've ever dealt with her, she's been clear, helpful, kind and as flexible as she can be with me. If I've been late on rent, she's always quick to give me a call and let me know what my options are. She's been very willing to work with me when I was late on a few payments. The rest of the staff have been good too, always courteous and as helpful as they can be. Compared to the other places I've had my stuff stored over the years, this particular location has been the best. And that's completely down to Luciana and her customer service skills.

Luciana was very helpful and gave me all the information I needed. She even advised me to compare the rates online and I was able to find an online only special and got a better deal on the unit I needed! The units seemed clean and they do regular security checks on the site.

I have only positive things to say about the staff at this location. Luciana, the onsite manager (as I understand) is knowledgeable and informed regarding the policies of PublicStorage. She is friendly and approachable and almost always present onsite which is a positive thing as she regularly see's the faces of those who hold accounts on site, and those who maybe shouldn't be there. (Never seen people who look like they got in somehow, and that may be due to the presence and vigilance) ALSO, Kevin is an amazing staff member who will go out of his way to ensure the best pricing is secured, and since he is a longtime area local, his knowledge base is vast. Strike up a conversation with him, and you might learn some interesting facts about the history of the east bay. Kevin is always pleasant, always willing to help figure out the details, and just a decent human being all around. There are other employees at this site who deserve recognition, but I do not know their names. So just for the record, I have never had a bad interaction or seen a bad interaction, with any employee at this storage location.

Very good experience and staff. Stored my items here since 2012. Always clean. Kevin, Luciana, and Angelina were always very helpful and professional. When i finally moved my stuff out recently, Kevin was very helpful in helping the moving out process go smoother. He provided good recommendations for pc hard drive and document destruction, and donation stations (i live out-of-state and was not familiar with any of those destruction and donation places).

This is really a review of Luciana, the on-site manager. Luciana is great- knowledgeable, efficient, personable, helpful. She really made the process of reserving a space and moving in easy and pleasant. I have complete confidence that this location is well managed, safe, and well run. The storage facility itself is showing its age a bit, although I did not see any signs of water leakage or anything that would affect the items in one's unit.

Quick, professional service. Storage space was more than comparable for the price that I paid. Luciana made the move -in process was fast and seamless.

Worst storage place ever. Got trapped in thier elevator for 45 minutes. When the firedep got us out the manager of the storage place (sum big fat girl) was so rude. She knew there was a problem with elevator 2 weeks before we got stuck, so why didnt she put a note on the door or turn it off so no one would use it. She didnt care. I will never go there again

Lucianna and the other staff were such a tremendous help to me. They provided excellent customer service well beyond their basic responsibilities. I was having a very difficult time vacating my storage unit and they helped me while I was literally struggling. One woman staff even helped me load my van when I thought I couldn't fit more items. I went in for boxes the other day due to a last minute moves and Walmart was such a headache to deal with I thought why not try public storage. The customer service with great Luciana was very helpful in finding the right ones to accommodate me.

When I first walked in Luciano greeted me with a smile and asked how I'm doing today. That to me is a positive feeling from the get go. Lucia a asked me for the information she needed to get me started advise me of what we were going to do, and completed the leasing agreement with telling me about everything I'm initialing and signing for. This was my first time using storage units. The manager and personnel at this facility were professional, helpful and accurate in billing and in helping me decide which size unit I would need. The unit was clean and had a light in the ceiling. I did not have any problems there and would recommend it when a unit is needed.

It's fast it's fun

I have stored at this location in Richmond, Calif. before and always found manager Katrina Miller to be very helpful and knowledgeable. So it is not surprise that I returned there again. This time Angelina assisted me. She too was very helpful and showed me 4 or 5 different storage spaces. She knows her lease agreement inside out and explained it to me clearly as I initialed each space. I came home and read it in detail and felt she had represented it well. Many details to moving and she handled them all with grace.

Scharneyse was awesome. Professional but fun, welcoming, and very efficient! We only just moved into the unit, so I can't comment on long-term satisfaction, but the initial process of getting a spot from reservation online to payment and initial usage was great. Thank you!

I have not rented a space here, but I have purchased packing supplies and Scharneyse and Angelina were great. They asked me specific questions and got me the supplies that I needed. A+ for both ladies.

Just a note to share my good experience with Public storage. I am out of town on the east cost with a three hour difference. I have never used the pay my bill online. I was fortunate to get Ms. Scharneyse Edwards. And although it was closing time there she was kind enough to help me all the way with my two accounts. She not only helped me with both accounts by providing me with both of my user/passwords, but she stayed on with me until I did both accounts. Here is why that was so important to me and took my frustration(s) away completely; she told me, that it is always necessary to log out completely before you can proceed to pay the next bill. Did I know that? ANYWAY...I would have been looking to stay logged in and pay the next bill. So thank you, you saved me from ALL that frustration. Hats off to Ms. Edwards.
