I dealt with this specific location after the death of my 35 year old daughter. I was a trainwreck when I got there to clear out my daughter's unit. I have not been here in a while so I was impressed with the new entry system. You used to have a code that you punched in the key pad but now you can download their app and open and close the gate with your smartphone. I love the up grade because now you don’t have to remember numbers
Really clean property
This company is garbage, called and told them I was sick they took and cut my locks with me only being late 3 week after two years of renting from them . They are theifs don't use them don't trust them or their employees. Total worthless company.

I chose this location for its location to my home and the security provided by the gate. Well for at least 70 days of the 10 months my items where there the gate was not working. The first time i called and ask the person on duty said she hadn't noticed. It had not been down for at least a month.This last month I was given the reason changes were made that aren't compatible with the lock. No estimate of when it would be fixed. No compensation for not offering the secured property they advertise. Rented previously in Richmond with few problems. I'm not giving them another chance.

The lady was very rude when I called to find out why I received a past due notice when my bill wasn’t even due yet. I opted to move out rather than stay there and she read a list of rules to me severely fast and hung the phone up on me. I will never rent from them again!
I met with Felina, the new Property Manager at this unit on S. Military Highway, yesterday trying to resolve a problem with the lock at my storage unit. She was extremely invested and caring and friendly and helpful and resourceful in solving this problem. I was happy to meet her and have the opportunity to work with her on this problem.
Felina was happy and ready to help me, my truck was having a problem turning into the lane.

During renovations they didn't notify me they were painting and got the furniture in my unit soaked. They were very pushy with add on sales during setup for things I didn't want or need. Property is not trailer friendly either, small lot and narrow lanes.

I ran into an issue moving in my new apartment a few weeks ago and was forced to get a storage unit for a little while. I made a reservation online for the time that was close to my move out date. After seeing my reservation date and the promo timeframe, Ms. Terry called me up at work to get me to come in early, so I wouldn't miss out on the deal. When I came she was very friendly and knowledgeable about the storage facility and always answered my questions with a smile. She was a peace maker in the midst of a stressful time for me and for that I am truly thankful.

I am giving a three star because I have had AMAZING service by RACHEL, and good service by Michael,but I've been using Public Storage for a few months now, and service by oth ers has been inconsistent. In the beginning they quoted me one price, and then when I got there charged me another, and it took multiple phone calls to correct the issue, and then my assumption was that the price would continue over the months I rented, no, it has continued to increase every month. But the front desk staff are great, and as I said, Rachel is amazing.
When I moved to VA this is the place I went to. A year later I am back, why? Their customer service is great, Ashley (the 1st time) and Rachel (helped this time). Both are wonderful. I do have a recomendation to sales manager .. should think about adding a moving storage service. Something to thinking about management.

I've been to this location a couple of times to make a payment or purchase boxes. And the manager on duty Ashley is always so sweet. We always have a small conversation which is why I like coming here. If my things weren't stored so far away I would come and rent with her.

Can't get any better customer care elsewhere!! The staff are genuinely passionate in taking care of both current and new customers. I had been in an emergency situation and needed a unit asap! Unfortunately it was 5-10 until office hours closed before I had called and yet they were able to get me processed and made sure I was taken care of. Without disturbing or blocking other clients, I was able to do minor shop work as it had almost been my garage away from my apartment home so respect went both ways :))

We had rented a 5 x 15 unit for our empty Christmas decorations containers ( box and totes ). We were very lucky to have Kelly walk us thru the options that were available and she took the time to make everything clear to us. In my book service is important to me especially with storage units because let's face it a unit is a unit but the service is what does it for me when deciding a location. I walked in and waited patiently for the owner to finish a call with a customer. She spoke professionally on the phone and greeted me with a smile after she hung up. I was helped quickly and efficiently. She had an excellent attitude and was so nice. I chose this location for it's proximity since it is not far from my house. The grounds were clean, there was no junk or trash outside any of the units, and I had easy access to drive safely and securely through the locked gate to my well lit storage unit.

They have raised the rates on me twice I had to move out of a larger unit into a smaller unit for the same price and then they raised the price again!!!!! RIPOFF do yourself a favor and skip this place!

Horrible Customer service at the location and the customer service number. Will not pro-rate storage price if it is one day past the 6th of the month, will charge you for entire month. DO NOT go based on what the property manager tells you, only go by what your agreement states, even if they state they will work with you. They just want you to sign the agreement and then they will tell you it does not matter what was said verbally. This is my 2nd time using public storage and I will NEVER use them again and if I know of anyone inquiring about a storage unit I will send them elsewhere. Public storage will never have my business again! Go U-Haul.

I went in the other day to purchase some boxes and acquire some info on what I can get and use in regards to storing items and Mark explained everything with such professionalism and confidence, knew what he was talking about and in turn gave me the confidence to be able to know what I can do and have faith that my items will b safe within his storage units.
I got a bundle of boxes a few weeks ago since I'm moving and Mark was instrumental in helping me get the best deal. He also pointed out things I would need such as bubble wrap, tape, packing paper, and certain sizes of boxes for different items. I'll definitely come back next time I need moving supplies!

Went in over the weekend to see about renting a space for a family member moving this way. The overall experience was outstanding. Also, some of the best customer service I've dealt with when it comes to public storage in general. The Sales Representative, Mark, was very easy to approach as well as very knowledgeable about the array of storage spaces available and answered all my questions with ease. Definitely would recommend this to anyone looking into renting a storage space.

The sales representative was very helpful in showing me all the units as far as sizes go so that I could make a decision on which storage to get; Because I will be leaving for deployment pretty soon.
