We bought a unit at this storage facility via an online auction through Storage Treasures. We went to pay and Kyle helped us out tremendously. He was fantastic and worked with us until everything was resolved. Kyle was the nicest and most helpful person we have dealt with in a long time . Kyle is the kind of employee every company should have. He was the greatest.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They will cut your lock off by the 20th day and rifle through your things to "get appropriate value of your belongings for auction" and sell your items my the 32 day. Yesterday for the first time in the year I have had a unit I received a text, after they closed telling me that I have lost access to my stuff. I was obviously very upset and called and left 2 voicemails. The second was because i was cut off before I finished the first voicemail. Today was the first time I was ever informed or received a text about putting an overlock by the 15th. They have gates and doors which don't work, the freight elevator does not work and when it did it was a dangerous death trap and the door would come slamming down on you or your stuff. If you don't want customers calling and leaving as they voicemails and yelling be transparent in your business when it comes to other people's belongings. I know you can't wait to sell out stuff but maybe don't seem so eager.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! I have been renting a unit for the past two years and in those two years my rate has increased three times. My rent started at $89/month then went up to $135/month then went up to $165/month now they want $212/month! The current rate being advertised for the same unit is $69/month so they are trying to rip me off! Beware of the contract, they don’t tell you that they do this. It is almost impossible to speak with someone at this location or through the 1-800 number. Once I did speak with someone, the customer service representative was rude, and did not allow me to ask questions. Both representatives just transferred me in mid sentence to a survey. The office is often empty when going to this location so good luck trying to speak with someone. I went to my unit one day to discover that they had replaced all the doors and locks without notifying me and I could not access my unit. I refuse to pay another increase and will be emptying my unit and going somewhere else.
My belongings got ruined. There were rat feces all over my stuff. It was disgusting. They did nothing about it, and won’t do anything to rectify the situation. Do not put your things in this storage facility.

Showed up today to retrieve items from storage and saw they were not there. Upon looking around we noticed that the hinge pins were lifted from the hinges. Waited at the office for 15 min for the property manager to return. When she finally did, we let her know what had happened, that the pins were removed and items were missing from our unit. The property manager was rude, condescending and less than helpful. I asked why we weren’t notified and she stated all they look at is the locks, they don’t look at anything else such as the doors or hinges. I made a comment letting her know her tone and demeanor was not appropriate or appreciated she got even snippier. We left to go to
The truck to call corporate, when my son went back in to ask her name , she said it was Laura, he asked for her last name and she replied she didn’t have one and that the person at the office that day was the property manager. She did not offer to live us to another unit or secure the unit we had. While sitting out front looking into the office I called to ask when and what they could do to secure the unit, I literally saw her look at the phone and ignore it, so I had to leave a voice mail.
Do not rent from here. They do not care about your belongings, you are just a pay check for them. They are rude, conceding and offered no help to resolve the situation. We lost over $1000 worth of items because they have failed to put in place protocols or guidelines that offer a level of protection for your belongings. The only solution she offered was to file a claim.
Upon filing a report with Plano police, we found out that this particular property has been a hot spot for theft. Of course they don’t tell you that because they want your money. But they have not implemented anything to detour crime either. You mine as well leave the unit unlocked for the thieves. Laura should not be in any position to work with customers, she has absolutely no people or customer service skills, she will make you feel like you’re interrupting her day and you’re an inconvenience. Waiting to see what corporate has to say. May update later depending on their response or lack there of.
If I could give it 0 stars I would have. We have a moving crew bringing stuff to our unit and the gate is closed, our code isn’t working even though our account is fully paid, and no one is in the office at 2pm on a Monday! Worst customer service ever. Tried calling the property and no one answered even after navigating their robo menu that told me to download the app (which also isn’t working). Don’t store your stuff here if you want to be able to access it when you need it.

I haven't even been here a full month and my experience has been horrible. I am almost scared for what's to come if I stay. I moved in on a $1 special and ended up paying $55 initially (for insurance or something)...my account reflected a $0 balance. Then a few days later I get a notification saying that I owed about $20 or so...so I was confused and I called the office...I got no answer and left a voicemail...a couple of days went by and my balance is now a little over $45 (and I have no idea why)....I almost feel obligated to pay it because I am getting threatening notifications about my storage. Now mind you my initial call and voicemail was about 5-7 days ago...then today I get a call and I don't even think they let the phone ring because they hung up quick, and it never went to my voicemail. They called at 5:27pm, I called back IMMEDIATELY and got no answer. I repeatedly called over 12 times and no one ever answered. This is a very horrible experience especially for someone who is new and not even a full month in. This is not the experience I was hoping for and very disappointed.

I don't like to leave 1 star reviews. But you've earned it! We were locked out of our unit for 2 months due to a new magnetic lock that they installed. It was faulty and would not let us in. While still being billed and unable to access our belongings.
We wanted to move our things and close the account. But our items were held hostage. They don't answer our calls or escalate our issue.
My advice, avoid this headache and find another place to take your business.

TLDR; You will call repeatedly and no one will answer. Staff is never on site. They increase rates a few months after move in.
Pro:
Move in was simple enough.
Con:
1. 3 months later increased my storage prices from $80 to $106.
2. There is never any staff on site! Have been there 3 separate times during open hours and each time there is no staff.
3. Made an appointment with a staff member and they never showed.
4.Parking lot is full of customers waiting for assistance.
Terrible property. Don't rent here. Trash everywhere. People hanging out. Very shady. I just vacated. Apparently the manager is no longer there and its gone down hill fast. Get out while you can.
JOE was absolutely without a doubt one of the most proffessional,knowledgeable person anyone could ask for..i had been to two "KIOSKS" IN NEARBY locations-zero people skills(given that they may have known ANYTHING ABOUT LEASING OR COMPUTER SKILLS TO PREFORM THE LEASE"JOE KNEW AND TOOK TIME TO make sure all went smoothly..He is a dedicated and an asset to Public Storage family.. Give this man a raise STAT!

In the industry I work in I have acquired many storage facilities needed for short term rentals. This location was the best I have seen. The staff is amazing. Each member is very friendly, very knowledgeable. Other places I’ve been to don’t even care especially with this Texas heat. Thank you again Wendy for all of your help and the cleanliness of your property inside of the units that I saw there were no spiderwebs there was nothing on the floor nothing left inside the unit purely spic span spot on clean
Melody was very nice and helpful she was AMAZING.! She made my experience at Public Storage so fast and easy. She explained every single detail that I needed to know about and answered all the questions I had!! Melody also showed us where our storage was and how the elevator worked as well with the app which made everything 10x better & easier. I give Melody not only 5/5 stars but I give her 10 stars!
Inoperative elevator makes it impossible for a disabled veteran to access a 2nd floor unit. Plus, no returned phone calls during posted business hours. I'll certainly change this rating if I ever hear back from PS.
Edited: Wendy was fantastic! She got us into a ground floor unit so no more worries about the elevator (that has now been repaired).

Wendy the store manager is absolutely fantastic!!! Always,friendly,kind and helpful! The fresh coat of paint gives everything a fresh new look. Could not of asked for a better storage experience from Oct 2021 - May 2022.
This is a great place to store your stuff if you want it stolen. My unit as well as countless others were broken into and pretty much all my valuable stuff was stolen. I would absolutely not recommend using this place, unless you are trying to relieve yourself of all the valuables. Whoever is responsible had better ask for help from whatever God they believe in because I am absolutely going to be haunting them and collecting on those debts. I hope it was worth it.
Today I went to Public Storage in regards to replacing the lock on my unit. I spoke to an incredibly sweet woman by the name of Wendy. Wendy went above and beyond to help me sort out the issue. I had been trying to get this taken care of for months with little success as my unit was at another location that rarely had any attendees and I had no luck in getting through to any one on the phone. I explained the issue to Wendy and she went so far as to walk with me to the other location and remove the temporary lock herself. Her service was excellent and her actions were beyond commendable, I wish her the best in her future endeavors and look forward to continuing business with Public Storage in the future
Horrible Experience! A women who said her name was Sally threaten to charge me $700 on my scheduled move out day for items that were placed in my storage unit that DID NOT belong to me. So I was late making a payment and I settled my account in full as I no longer needed the storage space.
During this time the property removed my lock from my storage unit, no longer allowing me access due to the late payment. In between the time they added a new lock one of their tenants that was moving out placed their junk in my storage unit.
So to my surprise when I went to move out I had items in my storage that did not belong to me. When I explained this to the lady in the office she thought I was making the story up saying this had never happened in all her years of storage. I told her, what benefit would I have to lie about this keep in mind lady I am paying you to store my items. So she says that she will have to talk to her manager about it and I would be charged 700 dollars for the items that did not belong to me.
I was so furious!!! To avoid being charged and to completely be done with this. I removed the items that did not belong to me and took them to a nearby dumpster since I had no reason to keep a strangers items and I took the things that actually belong to me to my apartment. I am writing this as a warning make sure your payments are on time or you will be forced to store others people’s junk and the office staff will accuse you of lying, unbelievable!!! Here is a picture of the items that I had to drag out. RUN!!!! Do not store your items here!!!!!
Had to make a payment for my son today and I was unfortunate enough to speak to Rita. Extremely RUDE. I understand information cannot be given out but when someone is willing to make a payment then customer service should be willing to go above and beyond to make it an easy experience. But no, this woman acted like I was trying to get access to the biggest secret in the world! Not to mention they have a $20 convenience fee for paying over the phone. A few button pushes on a keyboard just to make a payment over the phone. Isn't that part of their job!? Disgusted with this service!
