Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 6502 Highway 6 South, Houston, TX

my storage unit got broken into almost a month ago. It occurred overnight and i got called around 11 am the next day why they took so long to notify me who know. I am having health issues so I’m currently in bed rest only and no driving. I pulled up around 3 pm because i needed to wait for my ride and when we got there they had not even walked the whole area and had not noticed their fence got cut and that’s how they broke in. Once i asked for the video surveillance footage i was declined because of their policy but when i asked for a copy of their police report i was told they didn’t file one because they didn’t have any damages to their property. Whether they did or not I don’t know. When I filed my police report and the officer came what seemed to be the manager then started to get everything together and to put the information in their system. To their knowledge they had already fixed my door and the latch that they broke but was not fully fixed so I requested for them to fix my door since it was half broken still got a new lock and was told I could leave my new lock with them and they would place it. It’s been almost a month since that happened Either yesterday or the day before I received an email saying my unit was not locked and to please bring a lock and make sure it’s secure. Today I called again to try and get someone to check what’s going on and the guy who answered who’s the only one who’s tried to help me out said he saw a lock in the office but was left there with no note or information so he didn’t know it was mine. Like how does that happen. Then I called and they never answer and when I leave a voicemail they take 2 weeks to call back. I’ve rented with public storage and never had a problem. I then received an email that rent is going up so I am not sure I even want to keep my unit anymore due to the incompetence and careless attitude.

Seems like a good place and gentleman at the property is helpful. Couple points to be made: 1. There was a mix up with the app and I was charged twice for insurance. 2. If you're an early bird like I am, this might not be the place for you as it seems like you cannot access it until 9:30 a.m. unlike most public storage facilities that let you access at 6:00 a.m.. 3. The to refund you for returning their lock via check in the mail which looking for a check in the mail is the last thing you want to have to do when you're in the process of moving.

Whatever you do please for the love of god DONT RENT WITH ANY PUBLIC STORAGE especially this one This is my second time in 90 days that my storage unit has been broken into and my things stolen first time they broke into multiple units including mine and stole thousands of dollars of things from me including my tools for my small mechanic business which is my livelihood!!! They couldn’t provide any footage or anything and the bs insurance they make you purchase is giving me the run around second time they came back cut my lock off and finished the job this time they have camera footage but wont release it ive filed 2 police reports and was told by both officers that it seems to be a ring of thefts occurring in the same manner at these locations im throughly convinced that the onsite people that work here have something to do with it!!! Please go elsewhere youll lose everything you’ve worked hard for.

This particular location has been through a few managers. However, Katlin I'm not sure of that's how you spell her name has been EXTREMELY helpful. She's always polite when she calls about my balance. Always willing to try and assist me as a customer.

Rent spaces here Kaitlyn is always helpful very insightful she a sweetheart i definitely would rent from her location and recommend others To rent from her location she’s the best it’s always clean can easy access your space

I have a storage here at 65 0 2 highway 6 South. The representative here named miss Kaitlin. Very wonderful, very helpful. Always attending to every knee that she needs to help you alone. Even ask any questions. She's very accurate on her question. She walks to premises to show you exactly what you need and how big the unit is. I recommend her to anyone at all the highway 6. Unfortunately, I have a lot, but I recommend her number one out of office. Maybe I'm just really blessed that I'm. Kaitlin here at the 65 0 2 highway 6 and have a very joyful smile at a time. You come in to meet her. And she's there awkward to mean anything that you need concerning public storage.

Very clean facility and if an issue ever occurs (which is rare) they are always willing and available to help solve that issue.

Worst access time frame I've ever had. You go there at 5 when they're closed at 6 and you still don't have access. Dirty facilities, poorly managed. Save your money and go elsewhere. UPDATE: IT IS STILL GARBAGE. THEY DON'T OPEN TILL 10 AM ON THE WEEKENDS? WHO IS THIS PLACE EVEN OPEN FOR? WORST HOURS OF ANY BUISNESS PERIOD. MY BANK IS OPEN MORE HOURS THAN THIS. HOW MUCH MONEY I UTILITIES DOES IT COST TO OPERATE THIS FOR ONE MONTH YOU THINK? 300 BUCKS? SO HOW MANY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OF PROFIT GO RIGHT INTO GREEDY HANDS? Hire more staff and make your hours more suitable for the working man. How am I supposed to come here if they are only open 8-6? THAT'S WHEN I HAVE TO WORK!

Came here today and met with Kaitlin. She was really a breath of fresh air! 😊 Originally, I had a reservation that I had to reschedule, and she was reassuring and patient with me the whole time. I made a reservation and she followed up with me and when I got there I did t have the storage I liked and she was helpful enough to find me a closer ones and gave me the address because there’s two locations that are close to each other. This don't make no sense to change the time on my storage. Bad enough I can't access during after or before hours due to I work overnight and displaced 30 miles away. When I put my stuff in this storage 3 months prior it was 9am now 9:30am? For what they still ain't coming out the office, Smh! Now it's 5 vehicles out here waiting, Sad!
