He gave me a breakdown of how public storage works and what all it includes. Shay who is the property manger has done such an excellent Job going ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure I had a great move out.
I had been with public storage for a year, although the storage fee goes up often (which I did not like) the portal and online access is fantastic and the inside and outside of the property is always clean.
However, what made this experience wonderful was the property manger Shay! If I had to call in for anything she would always call back promptly handling any issues or concerns I had with such pleasant energy. I also moved to GA, which complicated some things but it was no match for Ms. Shay, she handled everything so professionally with such a positive attitude.
The month of December, I misplaced my keys to my storage all while trying to move out within the same month in a different state and it was pure Chaos for me, plus it was during the holiday (Christmas & New Year). She stayed on top of contacting lock out to make sure I did not have to pay for a lock smith because I needed to move everything before the first of January. Shay resolved the problem fast and efficient so that I could move out on time, all while saving me so money. There was so much more that happened that she assisted with… whew lol, but this was the one that touched me the most.
She understood that I was still just a human being having a human experience and life just be lifing lol. She brought great ease through this process and I am so grateful to have had someone so caring, supportive and genuine in such a crucial time! Shay you were amazing.

AVOID. I love the location but the elevators never work and there are no push carts. No mgmt and terribly run. Love Public storage, hate this location its such a shame. We got stuck in the elevators had to abandon our furniture and leave because there was zero access to the 2nd floor. Would love for someone to call me and get this right.

Honestly I wanted to like this location because it’s so convenient - but it’s not worth it. There are never any dollies, the doors are often broken so you can’t even get in, and no one answers the phone or gets back to you via the “on call” number when this happens - I ended up having to pay an extra day on a rental truck when this happened on my move in day. The AC/climate control is pretty laughable, at least on the 3rd floor. Then BONUS! One month after moving in, they increased my bill by 40%.

Horrible, don’t fall for the bait and switch. In less than a year they raised my rent from $150 to $394 that’s a 163% increase. They get you in with that low price and hike them up and there’s no ceiling to how much they raise it. Cleaned my storage unit yesterday. Never again. The only good thing about this place is the staff is nice and it’s clean. Bathrooms were always clean. I never had an issue with the staff in fact that’s the only reason I stayed so long. It’s not the staff it’s corporate.
The people who run this facility are NEVER there. I am only allowed to make payment by money order. There is never anyone there to accept my payment so I leave it in the box. They don't apply my payment until 2-3 days later and then add a late fee even though I paid on time. Nisha called from the office today and told me I had to pay the late fee because I drop it in the box and she didnt apply it until 3 days later. So I'm responisbecause she's incompetent? I was also told I would pay a lesser amount for a year and after 5 months it increased. I contacted "We Care" and waiting for a reply. I do not suggest anyone uses this location. They do not know how to run a business.

After being scammed on a house that my daughter and I moved into then 2 weeks later informed that we needed to move that she no longer wants to rent the house and not returning any of our money feeling lost scared nowhere to go I had to put my things in storage so I called public storage spoke with Miss Yolanda, she is an angel sent from heaven very pleasant informed us not just on price-wise but space wise what we needed she was extremely informative. I hope not to be a customer or long ready to find a home but I will be forever grateful I recommend the public storage on North Rhett with Miss Yolanda to everyone. Thank you Yolanda

Okay I have to admit I was a storage hopper for the past couple of years trying to find the best price and best service. Well I found it! Omg the woman that runs this place is freaking attentive and on top her stuff. It’s always clean and I’ve never had any issues. I feel like my stuff is safe and protected unlike other places, even other public storage facilities I have rented from I don’t feel I received as good of service. In all sincerity this is by far the best experience I have had renting from a storage facility. The only complaint I have is that sometimes my favorite manager I think her name is Ullanda is off and I have to explain my rental situation to some stranger (I rent multiple units). Ullanda knows everyone on the property plus their individual situations and takes care of everyone’s needs as if they were her own. I couldn’t ask for a better property manager and public storage is freaking lucky to have her! And the public storage customer service has been great! If I need anything Ullanda helps me and if it’s after hours some random person helps me, but my point is that I always get the help I need when I need it. I fully encourage anyone looking for storage facilities to rent from THIS storage facility on north Rhett they definitely have the best person watching out for you and the best rates and it’s so conveniently located! Plus when you get hungry Waffle House is across the street! Enough said!

My sister and I have been renting here off and on for years! Ulanda is AMAZING!! She is so attentive and helpful whenever we need anything I truly appreciate her. The property is always clean and someone is always a call away if anything is needed

There are never carts available, so rules are obviously not being enforced. The parking area was very poorly planned. One side is a dead end, so if forced to park there, you have to do a three-point turn to get out. There is no real loading zone so people constantly block the front door, and the only parking spaces are in the same area, and backing out where moving trucks are parked with boxes stacked outside them is not ideal. Essentially, the company maxed the rental space to make money but did not consider the customer or functionality of the facility. It’s too expensive for what you get. May be useful in a pinch but definitely not long term.

UPDATE: Reducing my review to one star. I have been renting for two years, and my rent has gone from $81 to $106 to $122. The website advertises a unit exactly the same as mine - 1st floor, climate controlled - for $47. I called to ask why and the customer service rep pretty much admitted to bait & switch...the website price is to get new customers and then they increase it every three, six and 12 months. I expressed my frustration at this and that I am paying more but receiving nothing more. Her suggestion was that I move from my current unit to the advertised one. wth???

Omigosh, does this place rock! I was moving from North Carolina and needed to secure a storage unit long distance. The website was not behaving, so I called. I explained my dilemma in that I needed to know for certain that I would have a place to store my furniture and boxes that would not fit in my apartment. Ulanda assured me that I would have a unit. Turned out that, after a kerfuffle at my complex, I rented a larger apartment and would not need the storage. Ulanda was friendly and gracious and actually as happy as I was that I got a better place to live. She is T H E B E S T!
They constantly raise rates for continued customers and offer significantly lower rates to new customers. Seems backwards to me. The lady at the office on the day that I needed to go in, had the door locked, and gave me a ton of attitude before I even got to ask a question.

Okay so public storage on north Rhett is the only place I will rent from now. Even after my rent increased like crazy I still prefer to rent here solely because of their manager ulanda. Her attentiveness and compassion makes all the difference. She is so willing to assist anyone and ensures everything at the location is top notch. The company is lucky to have such a great person working there. If you have a conversation with her you will see just how knowledgeable and helpful she is. Cannot say enough good things about her and this location. She runs it so well and everyone I have met while renting there (tenants) has nothing but great things to say about her even as we are complaining because the company raised the rent by over $100 a month for a unit.

If there is ever a time I need to use a storage room or no of anyone who needs one I will always use or recommend this location as long as Ms. Yolanda is there. She’s is very helpful. Place is nice but very very very expensive, plus the doors to the building were lifted wide open ,didn't need the code .not happy about that .plus no cart anywhere to be found .
People were waiting for more than an hour to get inside. No one was on the premise and when Ms.U came I asked her can we come in and of course she had something smart to say. I will not use nor recommend this company to anyone again.

Public storage bought out extra space storage and immediately raise rates and then a while later increased my monthly rate by $51 or 30%, said since my rate was month to month they could do what they want and there was no limit to raise rates. Are there any scruples with management. A thirty percent increase per month being retired with this inflation is just pure GREED, when able I will definitely vacate the facility. MNage ment should be ashamed. 30 % because they can.
