I called and spoke with Richard. He advised me about new policies and changes since I was previously with i storage. He was very professional and patient with answering all my questions. I was concerned because I was with the previous company for 10 years, but he eased that. Thanks Richard and public storage.

I left from all American great storage in Stratford, New Jersey to come here. Best experience. So far. They do need to get bigger loading cards, but she’s working on it. And the girls in the office were extremely helpful and very willing to work with you. I will never go in another place.

Went in to get info on storage since I will be moving in a couple months and wanted to know how it works. The girls at the office were super helpful and showed me a couple spaces. When the time is right I will go back.

This place is amazing especially when tracy is there. People come here starting problems then write bad reviews.

Beware of fees associated with your rates. Check with your Homeowner's Insurance regarding the need for the feed insurance on your bill. When I called to speak with Tracy associated with the Centennial Boulevard location, I was met with a condescending rude reception when inquiring how I could get the fee refunded Buyer beware

I am very disappointed with this storage facility’s customer service. I asked if I could change my monthly payment due date because the 1st of the month is difficult for my budget, but they refused to work with me. It seems like a simple accommodation that would make things much easier for customers, yet they were unwilling to help. Not everyone gets paid at the beginning of the month, and offering some flexibility with payment dates would show that they value their customers. Instead, I was told no without any reasonable solution. It’s very inconvenient and frustrating. I hope they reconsider this policy in the future because it does not put the customer’s needs first.

Tracy is a very sociable, out going person to speak to. She was helpful to me and answered all my questions before I could even ask them.

After being off to a REALLY bad start, things have gotten better... Tracy the property manager called me back and left a voicemail, we played phone tag a couple of time. When we connected by phone, I was able to meet her at the property. We discussed the lock situation and we agreed that the lock were finicky. Since I opted to NOT use their cylinder locks, Tracy refunded me the cost of those locks. We discussed the numbering and site map issues and I offered to make her a site map with numbers, she was going to attempt to get corporate to get her that. Tracy is working on the other issues. More to follow. My original post below, for now. They are off to a REALLY bad start, when you click on their directions link, both from their app and their website, it sends you to a location a quarter mile away (photo attached). A gated housing development, NOT Public Storage. Maybe they might want to reach out to Google to get this fixed. Once you actually find their location, it's a wild goose chase finding your actual unit. They have a site map with absolutely no numbers on it (photo attached). While wandering around, aimlessly trying to find my unit, I found interesting curiosities like unit 1027 was right next to 1199 (photo attached), this was not the only occurrence of wildly non-consecutive numbers being adjacent to each other. Prior to starting to drive to their location I discovered they seem to have multiple phone numbers for this location. I called several of them and after wasting a lot of time punching numbers, I found myself put into various voicemail boxes, I left multiple messages with my phone number, none of which have been returned. After much frustration, I found a corporate phone number that I called, punched in a lot of numbers again, eventually to be put on permahold, with every so often getting a message explaining they had high call volume and apologizing for the slow response time. After about 14 minutes it decided to just disconnect me. Once I gained access to the facility, things didn't get much better. For a facility of this size to have as few carts as it has, of which a majority are very small is really unacceptable (photo attached). There were 3 carts, two very small ones and one somewhat bigger. Their largest cart was not long enough to hold a child's dresser. The elevator was not working, which is sad for a new facility (photo attached). And the lock they gave me didn't work either, on my unit. I tried using the lock in a total of 5 empty units. 2 locations worked, and 3 the lock did NOT fit properly. After monkeying around with the lock for about 10 minutes, I just gave up because it was now actually after closing time. If they want to continue to frustrate me, I will be contacted and scolded for leaving at 9:05 p.m. I now need to go and purchase a lock, and get there early in the morning and put my own lock onto this unit. As their lock failed to work. I also need to get the adapter to allow my lock to actually lock the unit. I have multiple storage units, with three different storage companies, and have been using self storage continuous since the early '90s, worst experience EVER.

Rented 5x7 and unit was 4x6 (2/3 the expected size). Very hard to get a person on the phone and eventually told "our unit sizes are approximate" with no offer to make it right or change units. Surprise charges when booking. Surprise broken elevator on arrival. Much better experience at another nearby facility.

Waited over an hour to speak with a manager to purchase a unit and no one showed up. I ended up going down the street to cube smart.

I came at 0930 to see a unit and there was a routine fire alarm check happening. Everyone involved with that was incredibly nice. One guy even came over to my truck at around 0945, 15 minutes after they were suppose to be open, and offered to reach out to the worker. He tried calling the worker who did not answer and then texted her, she eventually answered a few minutes later and said she was running late and would be there in a few minutes. I waited an additional 30 minutes, 45 minutes total and nobody ever showed up. The guy came over again before I left and apologized and I dont think he even worked for public storage. I wanted to rent 2 units, I went to cubesmart in Somedale, NJ and was greeted by 2 very nice people and shown units without issue. I would recommend cubesmart. I would rate this place 0 for their lack of accountability and professionalism to be on time. The guys with the company checking the fire alarm system 5 stars!

I have been with Public storage for over a year now. I’m not a huge review person but this has to be said and noticed! Rodney, an amazing and very professional employee at Public storage has been nothing but helpful and knowledgeable since day one when he gave me the tour! I cannot say enough positive things about Rodney!! He is such a sweet, professional, great guy! Super easy to talk to, extremely helpful and always greeting me with a big warm smile! This goes a long way with me because I know when he asks me every time, “how r u doing today?” he genuinely cares. He’s phenomenal at his job and would definitely recommend him if ur interested in renting a space from them!
