This is a newer Public Storage location and they are currently still expanding with new units being built at this time. The location is clean and secure and the units are as well. One bad part about this location is that nobody is in the office during regular business hours when theya ctually should have a manageer on duty, so you better make an appointment if you need to see a manager! So why one star? Many of these national storage chains employ a "pricing strategy" that I would at least call unethical if not worse. They get you to rent at a one-month promotional rate. After the first month's promotion the expected regular rate kicks in for about four to five months and then BANG! they jack up your rental rate by 30-50%. The story is always the same when you ask them: "Demand is high. Supply and demand is the reason and we can increase prices as we see fit". Well, that seems to be a lie because on the same day at the same location for which they announced the price increase (for me from $98 to $140+) they offer multipel 100% identical storage units for only $55 plus tax, insurance etc. It is crystal clear they figure once you got your items stored it is harder for you to move and they exploit that to their advantage. This is a common behavior across ALL national storage chains I have used in the past. Locally owned individual storage businesses have not tried to do this when I rented there. You best keep your stored goods movable to react to this extortion when it happens. Additionally, you are forced to buy insurance for the items stored at $15/mo. or more. Unfortunately, we do not have any consumer protection laws in this country that prohibit this type of behavior.

I've been truly impressed with this Public Storage facility on Holloway Street. The property manager, Parbatee Yashin, has been incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. I'm very glad I picked Public Storage, and chose to store my things at this particular location.
The Property Manager Parbatee, was so very helpful she saved me 3 months increase on my unit and very polite good customer service and her knowledge was spot on. She deserves a pay raise. Had an issue with ants in my storage unit the lady told me that she would take care of it came back today to pay my storage unit opened it up looked inside it’s ants crawling all over my clothes and pile of ants in the middle of my storage unit
I have been renting a space here for almost a year now. I have only had a positive experience here. When we original made a reservation for a unit online,everything went smoothly. The unit was clean and the key was accessible. Since, we have added a second outdoor unit and transferred our original unit to a larger one. The manager, Parbatee, really made this process seemless and did it with a smile! Thank you!

The property manager is horrible, the district manager is unprofessional and the company as a whole is freaking awful! Long story short, they are not the best place to leave your items because they couldn’t care less about CUSTOMER SERVICE or making sure that your items are safe at this location. Do yourself a favor and AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!

The only reason I am giving a 5 star review is because of Leslie. She was the only person to help me. I called multiple times for a code to a lock on my unit. I called everyday for 3 days talked to multiple people left multiple messages and Leslie was the only one to help me. She is the only reason you get a 5 star review. Other wise you'd get a 0. She provided outstanding customer service through the whole process even after so many other let me down. Your district manager doesn't answer their phone. You store manager doesn't answer. It's like you have one person working to actually make a difference.

Gave me the wrong space number I did not find out until arrival and bringing all my things into the building. It’s 98 degrees out here and customer service tells me oh well move your stuff again to a whole different building even though the fault was theirs!!! Rio and Esh are who I spoke with and would not transfer me to the manager at all!!!!! I had to leave my things in the hallway because I did not have the strength to move it again!!! What kind of customer service is this!!!!
Climate-controlled must mean ambient temperature. If you are considering an inside unit hoping to move your stuff in non-sweltering temperatures, then look elsewhere. It is humid and hot inside.

From the start Kennedy made the move in process quick and easy. When it was time to move out my furniture all I had to do was make it known and Danita confirmed all and assured me my card would not be charged any further that was reassuring to me. If I ever need to store again I definitely will feel confident to do so.

I'm not sure if I'm consistently coming by at the wrong time or what, because the positive customer service experiences other reviewers have had is not at all the experience that I've had. I live paycheck to paycheck and have been a few days late on payment multiple times, but I always pay it + the late fee. When I'm late on payment, they put their own lock on the unit in addition to the lock I have my key for. makes sense! But they don't take it off until I go to them and ask them to, which makes no sense to me; why not take it off when the account has been paid? The difficulty caused by that is compounded by my next complaint:
I have had a difficult time getting ahold of someone 100% of the times I've needed someone. Twice, I could see through the window of the locked door someone behind the desk. I knock and knock, she doesn't come. I call, nobody answers. I think the first time it happened she answered the phone after I called twice, and the second time, she never got up to answer the phone or the door. Many times, they're open, and there's no sign of anybody working here. no car in the lot or anything, nobody inside, nobody answering the phone. It's kind of insane tbh, and it seems like there's no accountability.

The repugnant over the phone interactions that I've experienced from Ms. Jocelyn at Public Storage on Holloway street has been overwhelming dreadful. As a traveling Nurse I frequently use a storage unit. As a Nurse providing a patient or a client with a great experience is always a priority. Miss Jocelyn demeanor via phone is always uncooperative, immature, angry, unfriendly and uninterested, whenever we converse. In the past, I've spoken with another lady, I believes she works at another location and she's always helpful. Perhaps it’s because she doesn't come across as entitled or feels like she has to be overly aggressive to show authority. True authority looks like; level headed, helpful, courteous etc. Sadly, i've left VM's on the General or Region Manager's VM regarding my interactions with Jocelyn, but to no avail. The reason for my review is to inform my fellow traveling healthcare professionals about my true experience.

My reservation was cancelled a day before I was set to receive my unit. After countless calls and 3 voicemails to the property manager I’ve received no communication or assistance.
Dash is the best, made it super easy to get moved in and fix a mistake I made. If you have anything you need help with, talk to Dash. Really easy to setup online, and then you can just show up on your move in date and have no contact with people at all. The climate control is nice and the storage units very clean.

This is my first time using Public Storage and I was pleasantly surprised with both the service I received and the condition of the storage unit. The facility looks new and is well maintained. The property and the inside unit I selected were both clean and well lit. The customer service person, named Dash, helped me register and was super pleasant and helpful. I had trouble with the online registration but she took care of everything for me and walked me thru the process. Dash helped me get into my unit and lock things up. I could not have asked for a better first time experience. Thank you so much for help and big smile, it made my day a little bit easier!

I was a customer of CubeSmart & the merger/take over put a cramp in my plans with my payment date changing amongst other things. Fortunately, Dash made this hiccup as painless as possible, lending me an ear on a day when everything seemed to go wrong & offering her physical help actually moving my things when she noticed that I had no help of my own. When I think of renting another storage unit in the future, I will definitely think of Public Storage. Thank you SOOOOO much Dash-you went above & beyond & you didnt have to.
