This public storage is amazing. Stellar customer service!
No on-site managers or associates. On the website they advertise this, but only when you talk to someone in the chat feature do you find out that you have to make an appointment and you can only do it through the chat agents. Rental office is empty everyday.

Great prices and amazing customer service. 5 stars.
Public storage is the worst I used them for every move starting back in 2003 I move a lot 2023 has been the worst with them 20 years on off with public storage so of course I kinda know this company 1st complaint the money paid monthly is too much started out at $57 now $78 every month.Just too high for bad service. The office no one inside during buisness hours which is bad customer service. No entry if bill paid late and get locked out unit so if there is no one in office during buisness hours how do you gain entry in unit with there lock on unit after payment. Its just not a good company any more your already going thru a hardship then public storage put more of a hardship with late fees and liens lock out no entry it's really sad I hope and pray I never have to use there service again very unsafe bad lightening at night unknown people walking around very unsafe I wish I could give zero stars
This public storage has great staff starting with one member named chadlynn she was super helpful and great at listening to what I needed and she helped me picked the exact unit great job by her
This is a review in the waiting. First things first, I appreciate Public Storage. I am incredibly grateful for Public Storage, especially during tough times due to covid, and I needed them.
For two years, I used Public Storage and even paid my late fees. The issue is two things: ONE- When I opened my account, the manager, Cecil, sense I made my reservation online, was supposed to cancel out my reservation, because I reserved the wrong size unit. He, in turn, reserved and was able to reserve the proper size unit. No problem. Now that things were straightened out; I would just pay my bill every month. Here is where the problem comes in for the first three months when Public Storage would contact me, I would constantly tell them they are charging me for two units when I have one. I even sent an email.
It continued and I even told one of the reps when they called me to remind me of a payment, I asked why I was being charged for two units they promised to fix. I even downloaded the app and even just paid for one unit through the app. Public Storage continued to try and charge me for two units. This went on for two years. Then, one day, I received an email and text explaining that late fee rates were going up. I had no room to argue because I needed storage until I could move my things out.
In September of 2023, I was sent an email, text message, and voicemail that my unit was up for auction unless I paid over $500(I had fallen behind by a few months). The money due was by Wednesday, September 13, $539.60. I paid that amount on 9/12/22. The manager was trying to get me to pay for the other unit, which was $136.00. I told her I was not even paying that because I had one unit. The new female manager called her boss on the phone, and she had her on speaker; the manager canceled out the other unit charge. I informed the store manager I would be moving out of the unit on 9/17. I had to pay for a new lock since they cut off my lock, which they should not have had before the auction. (Added note: The new store manager who was cool when I first met her was cool. She tried to hit on me and even asked me out, but I rebuffed her advances).
Fast forward to 9/17, I came to the Public Storage to get my items out of Public Storage. The manager seemed surprised and started giving me a tough time about getting my items. I had my moving helpers and even had one of my helpers come inside because I didn't trust her. Sure enough, she told me that I couldn't remove my items unless I paid for the other storage. I was furious because her own manager said that I did not have to pay. The end results were where I had to pay, and they made sure I had my things out before the store closed. On top of that, she accused my help of breaking into the unit. Once we had everything in and were leaving the Store Manager proceeded to call my phone and curse me out for leaving a broken shelf behind and that she was going to charge me a rental fee and cleaning fee. I told her that if she were acting crazy about a broken shelf that I would turn around and come back. She shouted an expletive and hung up!
I have been trying to get my money back from paying for storage that I never had. No one will contact me. They can contact me when they want payment, but when they are wrong, SILENCE.

Update: 11/6/2023: Kim(Manager Columbia Store) contacted me and apologized for the behavior of the manager and agreed with me that I never should have been charged and refunded the overcharged money. She was/is truly a professional.
Chadlynn had great customer service!!!!!!!!
Great customer service Chadlynn a was amazing
Excellent service ! The staff was extremely professional and helpful .
I used the storage facility for 2 years. It seemed like every few months the rates would go up. I lived out of state which made it difficult to check on my storage unit. I finally flew into Baltimore and went to check on my storage. I had planned on giving most of the contents to my family. When I opened the door there was mouse droppings everywhere and it reeks of mouse urine. I had to call a local junk company to haul everything away which cost me $800. I’m just very disappointed that I paid $200 a month to store my belongings in a safe, climate controlled environment and ended up having everything taken to landfill.
My payment of $418 was made 3 days past the deadline. I was charged a 20% late fee of $83. This is how investors are making money with a publicly traded stock trading at $291 a share. The management has "strategies" in place to fleece their customers most of whom are low to moderate income earners. This is an example of predatory business practices. Not illegal. Just unethical.
Absolutely horrible staff. They neglected to tell us if we closed on the first of the month we owed the entire month, and 32 days later sent us to collection with no notice.
Liars and thieves.
