(We appreciate that circumstances can change.) As if the 33% increase was MY fault! I indeed DID speak to the manager first, they have NO authority to change rent rate. The current ADVERTISED RATE is actually cheaper than my original rate! She put in the request and within fifteen minutes I was denied by corporate. That's okay. Rentals have opened up since Irma and others closer want our business. This is out and out Corporate Greed, taking advantage of the pain caused by Irma. I would advise staying away because they will get you too!

What wonderful professional service I received from inquiry, to contract, and check in. I did have an accounting problem of a credit that did not get applied. The manager on duty Deanna went above and abccc abcacccccvvcvvvvvvvvvbeyond to find out the details of the missing credit. She took the time to document my record thoroughly, so that when I contacted the WE CARE Customer Service agent, they knew everything about my situation, and I didn’t have to repeat it all. Deanna’s thorough understanding, and courteous professional demeanor made it so simple. My situation was resolved within minutes of calling . All because property manager Deanna truly cared!!! How refreshing, and would recommend Public Storage on Clark Road, Sarasota to everyone. And the storage units are extremely clean and fresh. Way to go Deanna

I am writing this review because I have been at this location for several years and have been through several people (Staff), and I must say that Robert has not only cared about his customers and myself, but has gone above and beyond my expectation with the cleanliness of this facility. You need to change your rating system to 10 stars, because you went way beyond 5. Since I was given the upgrade in storage unit size for the lesser priced smaller unit that was not available. Now I have twice the storage space for the the original quoted price of the smaller unit. Which now I can clear out more personal property that was preventing me and my fiancee from getting our cars into our garage and more free space in my office. Just really outstanding Robert.

This storage facility is very good - the units are clean when you move in; the manager, Wendy, was friendly and very helpful answering all my questions about rates, how to use the lock to my unit, etc; access to the climate controlled building was good; interior lighting was good, and the corridors in the building were kept clean. It was all you can ask for in a self-storage facility.

Wendy provided a quick, friendly check-in with a thorough explanation of all the moving pieces.

Had a great experience with Wendy. As I was driving in with my first load of belongings, she flagged me down to let me know that another unit had just opened up in case I wanted to swap mine for a bigger unit before I got started loading. Very thoughtful!

Ron is a new Front Desk Assistant that welcomes you with a warm hello and conversation. Been at this place for six months now, and I am pleased with the customer service, the price, and the extra help. The complex is always clean, neat, and safe. Everything is in its place and the complexes are kept super clean, carts always provided, and lights come on as one walks in. Great place to store all that extra stuff. Great service. Problem they have a large dumpster. But exclusive to their front office and leave out the paying clients..also. they don't make accessible to storage boxes at the paying clients convenience. Check the hours yourself. Then compare to the competition on Clark road

We went to Public Storage last Friday, the 17th to look at a 10×20 storage unit. Met with Ron about 3:15 to see the unit that was available. It was quite a distance from the front entrance as the front gate was not operational, (apparently someone had wrecked into it) certainly no fault of Rons'. It was much easier to go thru the building. Karen wanted to rent the available unit so we needed ALL the details. Ron was very professional, quite informative & most pleasant. We were there for quite a while as the technology was not cooperating on his end... nor was the screen we were viewing! It could have been very frustrating due to some unexpected problems that arose. All-in-all it was a very pleasant experience as Ron was very talkative, funny & quite the PR person! Looking forward to doing business with Public Storage.

Looking for short term storage for our personal possessions in our motorhome and golf cart before we sell ours this week while waiting to take possession of our new Phaeton I called this location and Wendy answered the phone. Told her I needed a 10x15 storage unit and she replied that they have 50 percent off a 10x20 unit at $99 for first month. 10x15 rent would have cost me $150 for a month. Wendy was looking to find the best deal for the customers she could get. Arriving at the office she was very efficient and organized to make the first time rental for us as easy as could be. She then escorted us to the unit and demonstrated the door and lock operation. I purchased a few boxes at the time I paid for the rental. Upon my return to the office to pick up those new boxes she had them stacked outside and was there to help me load them in my truck. I hope the company appreciates her as they could not have a better representative! Thank You Wendy

This place was great helped me out A+++. I had an emergency and they called and got me proper storage. Then refunded my mistake due to me putting in the wrong address. I haven't had a storage room in several years and besides the obvious I was rusty on how the process worked. I went to the Public Storage close to my residence and Wendy, the site manager, was there to assist me (working on a Sunday to boot). Originally, I had in mind to rent a 10'x5' unit. Out of curiosity I asked to see a 5'x5'. I viewed the 3-D visuals online but nothing beats seeing the unit in person. I ultimately decided on the 5'x5'. I was not coerced to go larger. Wendy explained that if I decide to go for a larger unit in the future that I can and just inform her whenever I was ready to get the ball rolling. The flexibility gives some peace of mind! The lease (so to speak) is month to month so the commitment is convenient and flexible! Wendy was very patient with me and explained the online page/account set-up, insurance and access guidelines. I appreciate her expertise and customer service. The facility is extremely clean (inside and outside). The community shared loading carts are an added plus. I highly recommend this Public Storage location 4550 Clark Rd property #29209!

Thanks Wendy Seen 2015, I have had a 10' x 20' storage unit at 4550 Clark Rd, Sarasota, Fl Public Storage. It is always clean, well lit and comfortably cooled. After spending days reorganizing my unit I appreciate those little things. This establishment has a fairly new manager, Wendy, who keeps the place running smoothly, plus she is very professional and helpful.

This is the best experience I have had with a storage facility. Cleanliness is without question an outstanding feature. The management staff goes over the top to be welcoming and helpful. Her authentic caring approach to customer service is unsurpassed—her follow through is consistent and timely. The facility is easily accessible and feels very safe even if you are alone on the lot or in the building. The one story construction with inside entrances provides a favorable climate regardless the outside temps or weather. The prices are extremely competitive —lower than anyone else in town. The facility provides locks for he units at no charge to the customer. The ins coverage makes feel feel confident that my property is fully covered. I have never been moved to give online feedback—in fact it generally annoys me to be asked, but I volunteered to to it because I truly love this place.

This is the first rental unit I have ever rented. Tyler and Jerry made it very easy and comprehensive for me, they outlined everything and explained in detail every question that I had. The rates were very fair and I received a promotion for $1 on my first month. Very satisfied i have been storing here for a little over two months. Whenever I have any questions Tyler and Jerry always answer the phone and make every part as easy as possible. The property is still very clean, and well lit. I would still recommend Public Storage on Clark Road. No issues yet, everything is still great. i enjoy comming in and paying my bill and chatting with jerry every two months

I stored a large number of household goods here for several months. The staff was very good about calling me if there was a problem. Once I inadvertently left my unit unlocked, although it appeared locked. Later, when moving out, we inadvertently left a bunch of items behind, but manager Jerry called me and secured my things until I could return to Sarasota. I was very impressed with the service here!

I had some issues with making changes to our account, but the regional rep and the on-site rep got back to me and resolved my issues in a timely and courteous manner.

The sales staff Jerry and Tyler were amazing ..professional and polite . The whole experience was very easy ..informative and went so smoothly. The units were clean and very secure . I would recommend this place to anyone and I will continue to use this facility now and in the future .

This property is one of the cleanest I have found while I've been searching for a storage space. I have had four price increases in 18 Months. My rates have been raised form $130 to $150 to $175, and now to $195 a month. Insurance charges are mandatory, even though it is covered by my homeowners policy. The storage facility is clean. It is climate controlled, but the air is warmer and more humid than other storage places I have used in the past.

Jerry helped us at the Clark rd store and does it in a very professional manner. This place is very secure and I am glad I stored my stuff with them. So much easier to have an outside unit.

We used another local storage and could not get a hold of anyone to get a second unit!! So we found Public Storage on Clark Rd. More convenient, more secure and helpful staff!!

I shopped around and found the best price here for a large climate-controlled storage unit. Jerry guided me through the process of signing up and completing the rental agreement process. Manager Jerry worked very hard to help me locate a unit where I can store my collector automobile. When he found that none of the units at this location would be big enough, he spent a significant amount of time searching online and calling to several other Public Storage locations to see if he could come up with something that would work. Most people would have simply told me they had nothing and send me on my way. Not Jerry, who went the extra mile to try to help me resolve a problem. An excellent employee!

I just rented my first storage unit to clear up some space in our home. Lisa was friendly, helpful and answered my questions. Reserving my unit and enrolling in auto payment was a breeze. I look forward to using this location for my needs and the great customer service.

I am warning people not to rent from this place. The girl name Lisa is very rude and bitchy. She should not be working for this company because she does not have a friendly attitude. I Return the keys and lock on the 2nd of January coz they were close on the first, and she’s gonna charged me a full amount because I didn’t turn it in on the 1st. We took what was in the storage on Dec 24th. She’s gonna charge the full amount of Jan just because I didn’t turn the keys on January 1st coz they were close!! There’re a rip off place to rent..dont go there find another place.. I am changing my rating from 1 star to 5 stars for how quickly and nice the district manager Tony was.When situation gets taking care of right away, that makes a good company. I wrote this review yesterday dec 2nd very upset, but today dec 3rd Tony the district manager Tony called me and took care of the situation and I’m happy and grateful how quickly and nice he was to talk to. I’m grateful that everything is all good. I didn’t have topay the month of Jan., ( I vacated out dec 24th) Thank you Tony..

Lisa the manager was very knowledgeable and courteous. The place is very clean and new. The only reason I did not rate it five stars is because at this location you are required to purchase a cylinder lock for $20. I had previously purchased a lock at a different location that I could not use at this location.

We went in and met Lisa, who was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions, offered to show us around and gave us literature to read. Clean facility, Staff is nice and helpful.

I needed a large unit and saw at the last minute that they had a great special on a 10' x 30'. Kayla, a manager from Naples who was helping out that week, showed me the larger and unit and told me there were 2 left. By the time I got to my office to reserve one, the special had disappeared! I called Kayla and she was as surprised as I was that both units were gone. She took the time to look into the situation and saw that she had reserved one for someone earlier that did not come through and told me that it was mine. I went in and saw her the next day and after 10 minutes I had my large unit at the special price. Then, Lisa called and followed up a few days later. Fantastic, friendly service all around. These days customer service is terrible just about everywhere you go, this location provided about the best customer service I have experienced in many years.

Dottie and Tabatha greeted me with gusto when I entered the office. They were very helpful at explaining the rental procedure to a newcomer. There was a choice of units, and I readily found the right size for my needs. Dottie carefully explained the procedure for accessing the unit. It is very nice that she lives at the facility. The units are clean, modern and appropriately-priced. Public Storage is a topnotch company, and Dottie and Tabatha are great representatives for the organization.

I spoke with a representative from online that agreed there was a indoor unit available and when I arrived there was only an outside unit. I was sold products that I did not need. The rep there offered products (assuming) I was buying these products plastic coverings, insurance, a lock (which I mentioned I had). I finished up not realizing why my initial cost was so high. I am not sure I will be using this facility long as I was not happy with the service I received. Let's hope they start asking instead of assuming to save customers in the future from being upset. Thank you.

I came in to inquire about renting a storage space and get information on boxes. I met Lauri who was behind the counter. She was very helpful and courteous to my needs. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.

Went into Clark location to inquire about prices. Lauri was very happy to assist me. She came from behind counter and asked me several questions about what i would be storing. She wanted to make sure i had the right size unit for what i had. She took time to assess everything and got me the perfect size storage room without spending a fortune. She was very informative with information on boxes, covers, etc. Lisa was very kind as well and told me Lauri was training. I couldn't tell. She was so confident and knowledgable and easy to talk with. I thought she was very professional. Very happy .would highly recommend. Public Storage. Lauri and Lisa were amazing!!!

Lisa and Laurie were very courteous and helpful. All I can say to Eric is that he must have received what he gave if they were anything less than professional. The place is clean, well maintained and at a great location. If you are nice to others, Eric, they will be nice to you. This is a 5 star location with 5 star service!

I buy my boxes here all the time. Nice clean place all new. The quality of the box is better than what i have seen at other places, but the price is a little high but I do like the place so I will continue to buy from there. The people that work there are nice and always smiling 😀

Clean professional well maintained. Lisa was awesome, she took her time with me and I am very comfortable knowing that my belongings are stored here. The only thing that I have never liked are the prices of the boxes. Ridiculously expensive when you can go to Lowe's or home Depot and buy the same quality box for a third of the price. I believe you are doing yourself a disservice by the price of the box. You would probably sell more if you dropped the price. Just being honest

Holy cow what an awesome manager they have in Lisa!! I called to tell her I was running late and wouldn't get there until just after 6pm. She said let me call my DM and I'm sure he will allow me to stay late and take care of you! Well he certainly did as he told her that my needs come first! She stayed late even though she had already worked a full shift. I am really grateful to see a manager go above and beyond to help out. I was treated like a person in need and not just a customer asking for something. If you need storage, come see Lisa - you won't regret it!!!

Absolutely terrible experience from the start. I came to the facility to rent a unit I had already reserved towards the end of the day but well before store closing. When I arrived the store was locked and there was no one to be seen with no signage explaining why the store was locked and unoccupied during store hours. Needless to say this started to create concern for me especially since I had assemble some last minute help for my move. After waiting a few minutes the property manager approached the store from the property and unlocked the door. We followed her in and explained we had a unit reserved for Saturday but would like to rent it today because I was able to arrange some help. She looked at the clock and said it's too late to rent a unit today that I will have to come back on Saturday. I explained I had been a previous PS customer and am familiar with the lease so we could try to make it a bit quicker. She was adamant that she needed 30 minutes to do the lease and started arguing with me about how much time was left in the day. (Of course their store clock is fast by about 5 minutes) I started to become upset as I am moving with help waiting and this employee was completely inconsiderate to my situation. I then asked for her District Managers number and she really became bothered asking why I was gonna call her boss. I explained I need to rent the unit and am willing to pay and you will not help me and I believe he would like to know. She gave me the number and then asked me to step out of the store while she went to the bathroom. I called and left the District Manager a message as I spent nearly 20 minutes outside waiting for her to come back but she never did. I then called the District Manager again and did get an answer at that point. I started to explain the situation just to receive a terrible excuse to why I was not rented a unit today. Tony apologized for my inconvenience but never took ownership for the lack of professionalism from his store manager, in fact to add insult to injury he began to give me her resume regarding how good she is and how long she has been a Public Storage employee. His fix to the situation was that I can come back tomorrow and rent a unit then. I was really confused on how someone in his position would be okay with how I was treated. Not only was he okay with it but he began to become frustrated with me as to why his apology was not sufficient enough for me and all the help I had arranged for my move. I would not recommend this facility at all due to there lack of professionalism not only from the store staff but it's District Manager as well. Needless to say I will be canceling that reservation and renting with Extra Space, happy to pay a few more dollars for professional service.

I was very impressed by lisa and kim. They went above and beyond for me. My storage door was stuck on furniture inside and three of us could not get it open. Then the girls came to our rescue with advice and extra muscle. Great service,great employees!

I made an online reservation for a 10x20 ft non-a/c unit. When I arrived, Kimmi asked about our contents and suggested the unit I'd reserved was more than we needed. She showed us that unit and a smaller inside a/c unit which was about 20% less cost than the unit I'd reserved. The entire facility is secure and clean. Kimmi called the day after we moved our stuff into the locker and asked if we'd had any problems. We had not. FYI, they require that you insure the contents. Their policy is $100 deductible and for the minimum coverage of $3,000 is $11 a month. I would have preferred to be self insured and have no coverage.

Lisa was very professional. Coupled with management, our move-out experience, although a day late, was allowed without a penalty. Public Storage has been my exclusive selection for storage, regardless of the state where I've lived.

The staff at the Public Storage on Clark Rd in Sarasota go above and beyond! It was a very stressful situation and they recognized my time limitations and they all offered to help. I am so thankful to all of them. The property is very well maintained and secure. I would recommend this storage facility to anyone.

Everyone knows that renting storage is like taking a lease on a piece of Manhattan downtown property since it is so outrageously expensive for a tiny little cubby space to store a few precious things that rapidly become worth less than the space to store them. If; however, you must keep this stuff then Public Storage is about as good as it gets. Just please be aware that if you forget your payment you will not get a notification prior to being charged a hefty late fee but be most assured that as soon as the the fee is assessed you will most likely get a reminder call the same day. An unscrupulous practice at best. I recommend you setup Autopay to avoid these tactics. This would be a 5-star facility it it weren't for those tactics so I deduct 1 stars.

This is a clean safe storage facility. However they offer you great rates to move in then after a few months they raise the rent on you. I have been there about 6 months and my rent has already gone up almost 20.00 a month. STAY CLEAR!!!!!! DONT TRUST THAT THE GOOD DEAL THEY GIVE YOU WILL LAST. The Women there do a very nice job for a place that gets you in at one fee then changes the cost after a few months.

First I would like to say that it is Pristine...Love the fact that it is New! The Ladies that helped me were Kind , Patient and The Property is Very Secure!! I feel my things are safe and well Watched over!!! I do Have ONE Issue...Since the Property was new, I was unable to locate it Online ,,,Which was the way I wanted to sign up...since I was 1300 miles away. Then I see on the Website that I could have saved $50.00 PLUS ...Which I am going to take up with Corporate, Since the Property was SO NEW the Website for it was NOT set up yet! This was back in July/August when I reserved my unit! I truly hope that i will be eligable for the online monthly price...Especially since I was VERY SURPRISED AT my monthly bill, when I arrived. And I am a Disabled Person on a Very Fixed Budget!!!!!!!!!!!!
