I recently changed my storage unit at the Public Storage on Boca Rio Road, Boca Raton, FL. The office personnel were very helpful in showing me alternative units plus explaining the insurance offered and billing. A delight to work with this company and the facilities are immaculate, lots of parking and the open hours are very convenient. A well run facility with caring personnel. They have since been in a deep downward spiral with maintenance and they have TRIPLED OUR RENT in the last three years. There are never any carts available to use so I have to keep moving dollies in our unit. The staff is rude and not helpful at all. I would look elsewhere.

The Public Storage at BocaRio is a wonderful place to keep your valuables, we have been using them for years and it's always been great
real bad service from Boca Rio 21000. very very very bad. people there do not know how to smile at all
The rental process was easy online and very affordable, like $400 less that what we were paying at the previous storage facility. Unfortunately access to units is not handicap friendly. We rented a 10x10 and it's an extremely far walk to get for the door to the unit. We were told that larger units are toward the front and smaller to the back, seems backwards. A family or business would be using larger units, smaller would be individual and more convenient to have them toward the front. Also, the app to automatically one gates, doors and the elevator has yet to work for us.

Avoid this storage facility at all costs! It's a massive scam. They lure you in with initially reasonable prices but then hike up the rates for existing customers, and even for new customers, the prices are double what they advertise!
Their strategy is to entice new customers with attractive rates and then hit them with substantial price increases.
The customer service is abysmal. When you try to explain your concerns, they simply hang up on you.
I escalated the issue, but even upper management displayed terrible customer care and a complete disregard for customer satisfaction.
The facility was well-maintained, everyone ensured that I had a pleasant experience while storing my belongings. The dedicated workers, especially Monique, showed exceptional kindness and offered assistance to meet every question and specific need I had, overall a positive experience.

Management Alert.....We had a reservation, my husband & I were speaking with her, she was rude to us, we tried to navigate the application process with her, she made it very unpleasant & difficult for no reason & she abruptly proceeded to hang up on us. I then called the customer service line & they informed me our reservation was just canceled & given away....we were trying to pay for it & Tiffany was making it impossible for no reason. Based on other comments here I should have checked first before going to this location: 21000 Boca Rio Rd., I am shocked she is still employed. Stay away from this location!!!

Their customer service on the phone is combative and threating. I called and the person on the phone refused to answer any questions. She continually asked for my name and when I asked if a name is needed to get an answer she skirted the question. Asking for a name and being verbally combative is not the way to garner new tenants/business. If this is the initial attitude, the attitude as a tenant must be worst.
Good location. However, they keep the building with “climate controlled” storage units at 80 degrees!! This is way too warm!
Also, there is no percentage cap to their increases since they don’t offer yearly contracts, and they have you since it’s inconvenient and expensive to move storage units.
I'm very satisfied with the assistance and help that Marcos gived us! I recommend this place for the professionalism friendly staff and the cleanliness.

I have 2 units here. The staff, when I interact with them, is always kind and friendly. I almost always see cleaning staff walking the building and property so that is appreciated. Tiffany in the front office is always helpful and willing to accommodate reasonable asks.

I am a mover and I just moved a customer out of here that lost everything because of black mold coming through the ceiling. Obviously they have a major leak somewhere.
Tiffany showed me two units and after selecting one she assisted in all paperwork pleasantly and efficiently. An absolute pleasure to work with.
Terrible customer service plain and simple. If you are looking for storage for a long period of time this is not the place. The rates continue to rise so don’t be fooled by the original offers and the $1 promo they’ll get it back. I have a sick mother who I am buying a house so we can live together and asked to see if I can keep my rate of $335 which is still pretty high and have been given multiple increases and was denied and raised to $400 a month. It shows paying your bills on time get you no where and no empathy this owner has.

The staff member I met was impatient to answer questions and unwilling to show me the storage space. He also tried to let me take the insurance and the lock without telling me those are actually optional if I choose a smaller space.

If you enjoy getting robbed of over $30k in property and having no responsibility taken by management this is the place for you. Over 50 storage units were robbed on February 10, 2023, and the thief was on-site for 2.5 hours without anyone noticing. Since that time the renters have been provided with no information other than the phone number of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office (who are also unresponsive) and have dealt with incredibly rude staff. DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE FACILITY UNLESS YOU ENJOY GETTING ROBBED!!!!

Terrible experience with this location. I’ve never experienced a business less willing to help or provide services. We made reservations a month in advance. We received multiple, multiple email confirmations along with phone calls asking if we had any needs or concerns. We’re thinking this place has it together and we won’t have any issues on our scheduled move in date- WRONG! All of the sudden, they needed the physical title for our cars that were from out of state. Copies would not suffice and they informed my husband they did not have internet or email for him to send a scan. Not only did they refuse to rent us 2 garage storage spaces for cars with proof of insurance, copies of title and registration which proved we OWNED the cars, they had the audacity to charge us the $30 administrative fee! When asked to see the section of the contract pertaining to this requirement, Tiffany could not provide one. Seriously! I wouldn’t waste your time or energy dealing with this place. Tiffany was very difficult to communicate with and definitely did NOT want our business. I am glad we found another option at the very last minute and didn’t pay this business over $1000 to store our cars for multiple months while we were traveling out of state. I can’t imagine what the customer service situation would have been like if we had issues with our cars while in their storage units. Thank goodness they showed us their true colors prior to doing business with a company who thinks it’s acceptable to operate their business in this manner.

I would give a 0/5 if I could! There was huge roaches in one of my boxes. There was about 12. It was A LOT. I have a big fear of insects and bugs and when I was holding the box with the roaches in it, I felt a weird feeling on my hand and then I took my hand out and there was a HUGE roach like it was the biggest roach I've ever seen. I thought it was just that one but when I opened the box, I was surprised with more. It was absolutely disgusting and unacceptable!! There was also weird small black things all on my items, idk what it is but it was weird. And some silverfish. My items didn't have any insects in them before I put them in storage. I understand that it's and outside storage but their job is to manage your items and make sure they're being stored properly. So it's their job to clean their facility! Also another thing I didn't like is how inconvenient the hours are. When the office is closed there's nobody to help you when you have an issue. They don't answer the phone. My code didn't work on the first day and it was crucial that it worked that day, because I was moving out of my dorm and I had to catch a train back home, the next day. To conclude, it was a horrible and stressful experience.

This location is safe and secure. With coded entry pad to enter and exit at all exits makes it feel even safer. Able to go in 24 hours a day to retrieve your stuff or put things in your unit. Clean facilities.
I’ve used this facility for the past 2+ years. Both personal unit and a business unit. The rate goes up ALL THE TIME! It’s filthy and infested with bugs. I report it to the workers they say they are going to clean it but they don’t. All these photos are from bugs and pests from ONE hallway. PUBLIC STORAGE needs to do better. Stop raising the prices and clean your facility.
