You should rent a unit here! The people are so friendly and the facility itself is SO CLEAN! The storage facility I was renting at nearby unfortunately changed management and started doing business in a hugely unprofessional manner that just wasn’t tolerable for my businesss storage needs anymore. I am beyond relieved and grateful to have found a new “home” with Public Storage. A couple years ago I decided against renting here based on one fluke encounter after a long day hunting for the most suitable storage facility. Being with Public Storage for a few months now I’m kicking myself for passing them up a couple years ago. I was able to get a 10x20 unit for less than I was paying for two 10x10 units at my previous facility, can’t beat the prices. It’s amazing that they were open on the 4th of July at all but they were also super understanding about me bringing my puppy with me so I didn’t have to leave her alone during fireworks!! Public Storage is the storage facility you want to rent at!!

From call center to manager on duty calling and answering questions to online sign-up, and then switching to bigger unit. Once we got to the Sellitti, I have to say it was a very smooth process. Even like the QR code to scan the app for entrance into the gate. evening, Michael helped us, and it was truly a seamless experience, and very conveniently located.

While customer service as a whole is questionable (call the phone number and you’ll get bounced around and never get where you need to go), the actual people who work at McKellips are great. Prices are prices and move with the market, but I still got a great deal and top notch service from Mike and the staff.

In 15 months' time, the cost of my unit has almost DOUBLED to roughly $209/mo. Several competitors in the area (within 3-4 miles) have the identical unit (10x10, climate controlled) for under $100. Gouging your longer-term customers in order to offer lower rates to new customers is a terrible way to do business.

2020. Paulette has been such a delight! Not only did she make my experience quick and painless , but she brought a smile to my face on a day I didn't think I could smile . I adore her and the location is a bonus. I travel from central Phoenix and considered switching units or companies , but without her knowledge, Paulette has kept me there . She beautiful , sweet , down to earth and good at her job. She's s gem . Update : my favorite employee moved in early 2021 and the new staff and Management was awful followed with 3 enormously high rate spikes. .sometime after was my unit broken into and multiple items of both financial and sentimental value had been stolen , and no not just small thing but we're talking furniture, a safe , an outman and stand up jewlery box body mirror , only to be told and informed they keep absolutely NO SECURITY FOOTAGE OR PICTURES on file or for record . So and "investigation " was impossible . After explaining my loss i expressed that i was going to move my things to the current manager .Michael, who told me directly that as long as my things were out the before the end of the day on the 7th , i wouldn't be charged for another money . Guess who just got a bill from collections for public storage? I did. Crooked, dishonest, and disgusting . Do not take ur storage to this location. If you find yourself even one day late they will open storage"record infor for auction" then forget to save it and steal your things, and then charge you for it to!

Easy setup process, decent prices, friendly staff on-site, was never broken into during the pandemic in the whole year I had the storage unit. I had an indoor storage unit to keep my electronics temperature controlled inside the building.

The Public Storage business on McKelleps Road in Tempe, Arizona has been a very safe, comfortable and well cared for facility. Unfortunately I had someone who I thought was a good friend, turn out to be the most evil, vindictive, pompous, arrogant, self-centered, egotistical, narcissistic sociopath that I have ever met. If you meet an individual by the name of Michael English, please take head and warning. Don't trust him. Don't believe him and don't believe a single word that comes from his mouth. He is a pathetic excuse of a human being!

Jessica was very patient and thorough in her explanation of options available to me given the situation. I appreciated the time she took and look forward to a working relationship. I will recommend this location and it's property manager to friends and colleagues.

Basic and Reliable; Have rented space in their building and one of their "garage" type spaces that was not conditioned air. Jessica was very efficient at checking me out - only had to leave my garage door open and it was done, with auto pay canceled before I even checked online. Predictable is good in this biz:) Appreciated the access until 9pm too.

Easy access

This was the absolute worst storage experience I’ve had. They first kicked my sick mother off the property so I then had to get everything out myself. They told me I had until 9pm on the 30th of September to vacate my unit and I would not be charged, then they locked me out of the property at 6pm. One of the employees was leaving for the day and I asked for her help and she was completely rude about it but let me in. She again told me I wouldn’t be charged if I got everything out and they still charged me and said I didn’t vacate until today. I am going through the better business bureau from here because this particular storage is a nightmare

To whom it may concern I just want to let you know that the manager of Public Storage 1737 McKellips I believe it was Patty yeah it was Patty I got into the office after I told my roommate that he ten-by-ten would not suffice our needs and I told her that we were going to need a 10 x 15 to get the couches with your three large ones 3 queen size beds tables kitchen stuff and pillows and everything else amongst outdoor chairs and stuff would not fit in the 10 by 10 she gladly showed us a 10 by 15 we agreed to it I signed the papers and it's been over backwards for us I think it was really really awesome what she did Patty thank you very very much kudos to you if anybody needs to get in touch with me for 80504 7939 Patty thank you once again. Absolutely loved storing my stuff here, they don’t make you give a date of move out so long as you do it before you’re charged the next month and clear it through the office. Super easy and convenient. I go to ASU but am out of state so I even stored my car here, the rates are super affordable. The customer service is also super great and friendly. If I could I’d give this place 6 stars, would store here again.

Found this place thru Google while I was still in California. I was able to reserve and secure a storage unit online within one day of our big move. Upon arriving the office manager, Paulette, greeted me by my first name as soon as I walked into the office and was already waiting for us with everything we needed for our unit including a lock. She was very thorough in explaining the details. The property looks very clean and is in a quiet area.

They can't help the rain deluge which caused about a 8ft river in the middle of the main entrance to the interior units. That was before the deluge the other day..... it only got worse with the recent flash flooding. They cannot help that it occurred, and maybe that's why all Storage places require insurance. Apparently there was more rain in the few days recently than in the traditional monsoon season. What will happen when the Monsoon Season hits? Oy Vey! The folks that work @ my location do the absolute best they can under the circumstances...but a structural problem needs to be addressed at least at the regional office level OR main corporate office level. I haven't left yet, but other customers have.... How do I know? They told me about newer, cheaper places nearby that they were switching.

Let me start off by saying it’s rare to come across a decent storage facility, especially one with amazing customer service! Paulette answered all my questions, was extremely friendly and sweet and made me feel welcomed. I feel comfortable knowing my stuff is safe and secured and don’t have to worry about anything!

The entire Place smells, from the moment you enter the office. I was a little nauseated, because I stayed in there too long. It's really unbearable to be in that office for very long. It smells like mold and mildew, from the office, to the storage areas. The storage compartments, have what looks like fiberglass insulation, on the walls, just hanging out, unfinished,and old! It's been there a good long time. This place is really expensive as well. { Average ) charge for 10 X 15, give or take some, hovers around $100. PROS .... 1) Location >> Mckellips Rd & Hayden. 2) Check online >> sometimes they run one month free when you pay for the first month. 3) Nice Employees.

I wanted to take the time to write a review for a person at Public storage. Her name is Patty. What a wonderful person. I was there to put stuff in storage yesterday and what a big help she was. The night before she left me a message about my storage. When I got there apparently the lock was off my storage and items were in there scattered on the floor. Doing a walk thru she noticed the lock off my unit and opened it to find someone in there sleeping and their belongings. She told the person they couldn’t sleep in the unit and the person gathered what they could and left and she called me and left a message. She then went back to the unit and locked it with a new lock. When I got there she explained what happened and even apologized for the problem. She went and got her cart and cleaned the storage immediately as I was there with a full load to move in. She even asked if I needed anything and later that evening when I was finishing up from taking a second load there, I accidentally broke a vase when my load on the cart fell off and she took it for me to throw away. What a pleasant person to talk to, knew her job, and immediately took care of business when needed. Thank you so much Patty you made my experience coming back to a Public Storage very pleasant and relaxing. 👍👍👍

We checked in yesterday. The manager on site, Patty, was very professional and helpful making the process pleasant, easy and fast.

All the people I spoke with at this facility were kind and helpful but Patty was the best. She followed up with me and made sure my move out was quick and easy. I did knock off one star because about six months into my two years there they raised the price $50 without even telling me first. I understand prices going up as time goes on but $50 seemed excessive especially since my unit was pretty small in comparison to most there. Other than that though the facility was great, always easy to access, great customer service, and my property was good as new two years later.

My first experience with Public Storage was me showing up for my reservation to be met with an empty office. However John called me the next day to apologise and explain the situation which was completely understandable. These things happen, and given my later experience, was a non issue. We rescheduled my move-in date for the same day. John provided excellent customer service, explained everything clearly, and the entire process was low hassle and only took about 20 minutes, if that. John was also nice enough to recommend some moisture absorbers for monsoon season, which were sold for a very reasonable 8 bucks. The units are clean and surprisingly cool in the mid-summer Phoenix temps. The facilities are very well maintained from the unit doors to the gates and pin-pads. Given the size and the quality, the price was great. Given the ease of the process, the professional nature of the staff and the company as whole. Would Highly recommend to anyone.

Really clean facility! Well maintained! Staff however. I spoke to a worker named John and she stated to me that as long as I was out before the 6th I would pay for the days I was there. I moved my stuff out a few days before the 6th, which it was only an empty safe. A couple hours later I get a call asking to pay for the entire month! What the hell? Then the associate that called me stated info didn't pay by the 6th I would also get charged a late fee.....

James disclosed that Public Storage occasionally may review markets and adjust pricing accordingly and that my price could go up. He advised me that rents are due on the 1st of the month and are not prorated. To me, that counts as honesty, transparency, and customer service and it goes a very long my way to prevent negative customer experiences. Tell customers the truth, they can handle it. I been at public storage 1737 E. Mckellips Rd Tempe, AZ 85281 since the end of November beginning of December the last few months Karen has done a Great Job! She always makes herself available even when she is busy with other customers or occupants. I go to my storage at least 3 - 4 time a week at least.. 2 of those 4 times she is there to open the gate for me or greet me, or open the gate as I exit.. It is impossible to please everyone but she sure tries.. And I must say she is no push over either stand her ground when it comes to protecting the integrity of the business. I would give Karen a 4.5 star rating but there is no half. She didn't get a 5 star because of the drain hill but that not her fault.. But overview I am pleased with my unit..

Karen and Sandie are kind, generous and extremely helpful!! Over the years I have stored my belongings in at least 5 facilities in various parts of the country and several other Public Storage facilities in Arizona. Karen and Sandie at the 1737 E McKellips Rd facility make all the difference. We need more people like them in this world. If you are looking for a storage facility in this part of town, I highly recommend the McKellips Public Storage facility!! Kudos to Karen and Sandie!

Wonderful service! the property manager was amazing! She made me feel so welcome and informative, I was paying with cash and I was short $28 and some change and she let me get my unit and move my stuff in and bring her the rest of the money a little later in the day when I came back to store another load, absolutely amazing, highly recommend! Karen (the manager) made the whole experience worth it even if I had to pay twice the price, still would've been worth it!

Karen is a very great manager over at the McKellips property. She helped me get in the unit early and made sure we had all the resources we needed to facilitate the move in. Karen was highly professional and capable of multitasking with customers in the office and on the phone. I really appreciate her above average customer service and look forward to working with Public Storage in an ongoing capacity.

I am grateful for the area I have, but this place has only one entrance to the upstairs and you have to use an elevator, and if it's a busy day, well, you'll be waiting for a while. Not horrible, though.

Marie, at the McKellips location is fantastic. I stopped by this location in my search for a unit that would fit our small camper trailer and approximately 10-15 storage boxes. Marie had 3 available units that she felt would fit our needs - and she nailed it on the first unit she showed us. Aside from the facility being clean, safe, and close-by, Marie's personal touch and genuine friendliness is what sealed the deal for us! Thank you, Marie!!

Bill was a great help to my Mom. She was planning to move to a different brand and location to save money, but he helped us look at our needs and space availability, found one on site here for not a bunch more than the other place.
