They say everything is bigger in Texas, so Public Storage is growing in big ways to match that standard, regularly adding new locations, including one that opened recently in Highland Village near Dallas.

The new Public Storage 4800 Village Pkwy Highland Village, TX 75077 is state-of-the-art and easy on the eyes with a stone façade and lush landscaping to serve the fast-growing region and fit into the neighborhood. There are more than 1,000 climate-controlled units for families and professionals who live near Lewisville Lake.

Public Storage in Highland Village, north of Dallas, is the sixth property Public Storage has built from the ground up in the Dallas area over the last year as part of a push to serve that area, including the suburbs.

“We’re focused on growth (in these neighborhoods) because our existing properties are in other parts of town,”; said Jarrod Yates, a Public Storage vice president of real estate based in Plano, TX.

Companies, Employees Moving to the Dallas Texas Suburbs

The new locations were built to help consumers who face greater competition to find a storage unit near home due to more residents moving in. Over the last five years Dallas County grew by 8 percent while neighboring Denton County, where Highland Village is located, grew a whopping 18 percent.

“There are other Public Storage (locations) in the area, but they had waiting lists, and even though they were only 15 minutes away from my home that was too far away from me because of what I do,”; said Lisa Dean, an event planner and the first customer at the Highland Village property. “This couldn’t have been more perfect.”;

Large companies like Toyota and AT&T are finding homes in Texas, likely because of the low labor costs and fewer business regulations, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Dallas is home to 19 Fortune 500 company headquarters. It also has the ninth largest concentration of tech jobs in the country, according to the non-profit Dallas Innovation Alliance, which independently researches and makes investments to evolve the city into a tech town.

The Alliance also noted that 360 people are moving to the Dallas area every day to find work and prosperity in the Lone Star State.

Public Storage is Growing in Dallas

Public Storage opened its location in Highland Village as part of a larger push into the growing Dallas community.

Another brand new Public Storage 4740 Harry Hines Blvd, Dallas, TX 75235 in downtown Dallas opened just last month for customers.

“Uptown (Dallas) has developed with high rise apartments, condos and a whole group of baby boomers are moving downtown where the streets were dead for several years,”; said Ronnie Baker, the district manager who oversees the hillside, 5-story property. “We’re starting to see a lot of reservations pop up; the future of this property is very exciting.”;

Like at all of our locations, we’ll help you find the Dallas storage that fits your needs.

“I stopped in and they showed me a couple of locations on the first and second floor,”; Dean said of her visit to the new facility during the grand opening. “I knew what I wanted and needed, and I think I was in and out in 30 minutes. It was perfect.”;

If you’re new to neighborhood, like so many others in the Dallas Texas area, make sure to stop by and say hi to the new Highland Village team: Mark Bernardi, Cynthia Yakes and Kelly Marsh!
