Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 1409 Diamond Springs Road, Virginia Beach, VA

I’ve had need to use storage services many times over the past 10 years after moving to VA to be with my ailing mother and ultimately to lay her beautiful soul to rest and settle her estate. As I conclude my time in VA and move back to my home state, I will say that my experience with this Public Storage has been extraordinarily exceptional to all my other storage experiences. I was able to secure a spot with no hassles. The gate access worked perfectly and the space was clean and well lit. The billing process worked seamlessly and the pricing was fair. On move out, I met Josie, the location manager, and she was really wonderful. She provided clear instructions about what needed to be done to close out of my unit and it took no time at all to take care of everything. But beyond how helpful and competent she was, Josie was super pleasant and kind. Having a service professional show you, the customer, kindness and respect is what makes for a good experience with any business. Thank you, Public Storage! Please tell Josie how much I appreciate how helpful and nice she was during my stay.

I will NEVER forget that this location stole items from my storage unit. My basement floods (fall/winter) so I chose to store items here. I had quite a few sentimental items of my deceased son which were stolen. Valuable may I add. The manager at the time actually had the AUDACITY to cry when I confronted her AND called the police to report. My lock was cut and storage was foraged (in a way that I knew it was a woman). The officer on the scene said he could read the employee body language and knew that she was lying. She pretended to review the camera (and I wouldn’t be surprised if footage was erased)and acted as if some thief jumped the fence and “broke into MY unit”???????????? Why are the cameras available ma’am 👀 Run run run run run. I’ve told as many customers that are willing to listen. I finally had the time/capacity to relocate my remaining items to a different location. Employees are theives.

Their phone representatives are fantastic the property is garbage. The monthly payment has gone up 200 dollars in the last year and the squirrels are still destroying my stuff and when I throw my ruined items in the dumpster on the property I'm told I'm not allowed to dump.....in a dumpster even though it's called a "dumpster" the incompetence is exhausting. Can't wait to get what's left of my stuff out and never see this place again.

I took advantage of a promo at the Hayden Road location. Upon my arrival for check-in it was obvious that the unit that was confirmed did not match the measurements or the location that was indicated in my email Virtual assistant at the property attempted to assist us to no avail. I was ready to give up - take the truckload I was ready to store back home and search for a new storage company I was that frustrated! Last ditch effort, my husband called and reached Josie at the diamond Springs location. After a short trip down the block to visit Josie, she transferred the wrong unit to one that suited our needs and she saved the day! (And this customer)! Had it not been for Josie that day? I certainly would not be a public storage customer today! Thanks for all you do Josie to keep satisfied customers!!

I came in today with an issue and Josie fixed my problem right away! She was the best. Took a stressful situation and made it easy as pie! Moving is stressful and I want to thank her for her professionalism and attitude!

I called to reserve my storage unit and told the man all that I had and what size would he recommend, once I got to the storage it was too small and it was past 5, Ms Josie had already got off and was finishing her day and instead of just telling me to wait till morning bday she clocked back in and helped me out change my storage and made sure I was okay, moving is so stressful and nothing has been working out for me since I started, but she changed my outcome for that day and I’m so happy she was able to help me, definitely recommend this location. Ms Josie is wonderful

First, I would like to thank this Public Storage! Not only did they help me secure a unit, but the manager was extremely informative about the app, and she even helped me download it! Josie, I believe was her name, is an asset to this company! She was friendly, walked me through the auto-pay, and told me that they had boxes for me to purchase. I LOVED the new camera system that they have installed, and every angle of the property is covered! If you need a storage unit, look NO further for Josie is the kindest, most helpful person to call and get the best unit for your belongings! I would give Josie higher than 5 stars, but unfortunately, it only offers 5! Thank you again, Ms. Josie, for all of your time, help, dedication to your work, and most of all, for the best attitude, great personality, and for your kindness!

Stopped there a few minutes ago to inquire about renting a space. The girl working was very sullen and rude. She didn't know anything about the sizes and the only thing she could tell me about prices is that they change every day. WHAT!!!!! If this is how you treat customers then thanks but no thanks. I'll go somewhere where they have manners!!
