PLUMBING/CONCRETE LEAK. There is a permanent, standing puddle on the driveway during bone-dry weather that indicates a broken water main or severe drainage failure underground. This pressurized water is actively wicking straight up through the porous concrete floor slabs into the storage units. Multiple separate moisture absorbers overflowed in days because the concrete is so saturated. When brought to management's attention, the property manager was entirely dismissive and refused to take structural maintenance action or inspect the slab. I had to personally scramble to transfer my items far away from the zone to prevent mold destruction. Check your floors closely if renting on this row—management will not warn you.

This is the most insanely mismanaged, poor quality armpit of a facility I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. To begin with, soon after moving antique and newly purchased items into the unit they were completely covered in a THICK layer of pollen due to the large gaping hole in the wall of the unit allowing the weather to freely breeze through the space. I attempted to contact the facility's management on multiple occasions to not only voice my concern and request different arrangements but also to cancel my 24/7 access I unknowingly was being charged for and do not use (it is impossible to cancel without speaking to management), but my calls were never answered and multiple voicemails were never returned. I stopped by the office at least 6 times and it was locked and empty every time, during business hours.
I accepted it and began to search for alternatives. Upon returning last month I was greeted by a family of rats that jumped forward and scurried past me as I opened the door. My new expensive and priceless antique furniture was COVERED in rate feces (see pics, also have a video of the infestation) and the rodents had destroyed several newly acquired pieces by burrowing into through the fabric and into the stuffing. I grabbed a few things but left most there because I was too disgusted and freaked out to start going through the unit honestly scared I was going to be attacked by a rat.
Under advice from my attorney, I contacted customer service and spoke to an extremely kind lady that took the details of my complaint, refunded the month's rent I had just paid a day or so earlier, assigned a case number and told me to leave my property as is and awate a call from a Regional Manager within the next couple business days. She initially offered to relocate me into an alternate Public Storage property, but the facility is simply too far away from home and where I need access and was more expensive than many other climate controlled options within 5 minutes of me. I rejected the offer and advised that I needed to be compensated for my destroyed property, and need to be refunded my several months rent wasted on the garbage can of a storage unit.
Over a week passed and nobody contacted me, so I called customer service back because I noticed I had another rent bill due (informed via text) though I had just a week prior gone through a documented complaint process and was advised to stand by. This customer service rep claimed to see no notes or references to my complaint on my account, had no idea what to do with the case number I was provided by the first rep, told me I had to pay my past due to even regain access to the unit as they had padlocked it and voided my gate code and stated the only compensation I MIGHT be able to receive would be through an insurance claim on the unit, which is absolutely not what I was informed during my first conversation. She also refused to provide me a direct line or email address for corporate and stated all communication needed to go through property management, though I again explained I had been trying to reach them for months with no success.
My attorney was able to get an email address for corporate customer service out of someone and wrote an extremely strongly worded letter to the company which fell on def ears with no response. Again, I received notification that my rent is past due, I've lost access to the unit and my property is scheduled to be AUCTIONED OFF IMMEDIATELY!! Tried customer service by phone again only to be told I needed to pay and file any grievances with the property manager. My attorney sent yet another follow up email to corporate which again was not acknowledged.
I am filing suit against this place for damages and for my rent money to be returned. I highly doubt they will even show up to court or acknowledge the proceedings.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER RENTING STORAGE HERE OR AT ANY OTHER PUBLIC STORAGE PROPERTY! This people are scumbags and should be forced out of business immediately.

Worst person to encounter even it over the ones phones
To whom it may concern I am leaving this review regarding Public storage location 20101 I won a storage unit on February 25 2026 I purchased 7 units picked up 4 location on the last location my truck broke down I called all 3 of the last location to inform them that my truck broke down and that the truck would not be available again until Sunday at 12.30 every public storage location was find with it except location 11885 Jefferson Ave the manager at this location was very nasty when I did get to speaks to her then said to me my DM told me to call storage treasure and have you blocked I said Mrs I sat outside your location for one hour on Sunday you disconnected my code I called the 1800 number 5times to try and get a code to access they informed me the manager leaves at 1 o'clock on Sunday this is the worst customer service I have ever encountered from public storage came from this location I was a store manager for 14 years this manager needs additional customer service training and the DM had my account block without trying to resolve the issue I question her customer service behavior also I'm sending this review to corporate also they need to know how there location are being ran

Patty was super helpful! I started the process online but I had questions. I left her a voice message and she called back and less than 15 minutes to answer all of my questions. I was quickly and easily able to finish my reservation. When I came to move my stuff, she remembered me, greeted me by name and give me a good overview of what I needed to know and showed me where my unit was. She offers excellent customer service and great confidence with the facility

I was under a lot of stress trying to find an affordable storage unit at the last minute. The two lovely ladies working the front desk helped me beyond measures . I wasn’t sure exactly what size i needed and the ladies helped me . They took it as far as in looking into their sister store and helping me get a unit that had a 50 percent off special making it even more affordable as well as making the reservation for me . It was a 10/10 experience for me . Thank you shauna !

Great customer service! These people deserve a raise! It was so easy! The app does freeze but the best will help you at this location fr. They also give you all the information upfront. No hidden costs all thanks to the lady with the head band and nose piercing! Warning the other woman with glasses is very rude.

I came back to this location after 6 years because of the great service that I received and I received the same great service from Patty. 6 years ago I was given great service by Christine. They have made so many new changes at this location. The only thing that I don't like is that they need to update the parking area.

The site manager Patty was extremely helpful and kind, and spent time showing us available unit sizes and meeting our emergency household move needs.
Dropped of few boxes for 3 months storage. Came back to roaches everywhere. Inside boxes, under plastic tops of carpet cleaner, in sweaters, stuck to the tape, pure infestations. Wish they would've warned me. I could've prepared for the horror I found later. Didn’t have anything for roaches to enjoy, but I guess the cardboard and glue was irresistible.
Besides the roaches and spiders customer service was great. Great prices, just prep for critters and their cousins.
*Maybe the neighboring storage guest brought them in, so I'm revising from 2 stars to 4 in all fairness*.

Got charged a day and an admin fee for a unit I didn't want. Online didn't have clear pictures of the tight alleyways where most their units are. I thought I was just reserving to look at it. The access didn't work for my situation so I told them I didn't want it.... Turns out they still charge you almost $50 for something you never even received a lock to or set foot in. From the other reviews I've read it makes sense, they're not great and just want peoples' money.
Hi guys and girls. I just encountered the most awesome and beyond experience from this facility by Verzet. She answered my phone call and all my questions were given to her along with a yell for help! Verzet is very good at what she is doing and exceeds expectations. I am not in the area and she was very understanding. She helped me with the difficult task of setting up my rental, resetting all the issues that I was having with the system reservations, and gave me a time to call back.. in which she answered! I believe any where she works…. She will be a great asset. Many thanks to Verzet! Keep up the the great work customer service, and kindness…efficiency

I've had my storage unit for almost a month and am just now able to access it because of a broken door lock. We tried to contact PS through calls and messages on the app, and never got any kind of help with the situation. We reached the property manager once, and they seemed frustrated with the door situation as well, but we were refused compensation for the month that we were not able to access/utilize the unit. I understand that getting the lock fixed was out of their hands after the work order was in, but I shouldn't have to pay for something I can't even get to.
