Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 2715 Realty Drive, Carrollton, TX

Haven’t been there personally, but I’ve met one employees and they were very nice!

I would be interested in updating my rating, however, my experience thus far has been disappointing. Despite being within business hours, I have not found anyone on site. Additionally, the gate is not operational, and the storage room has improperly secured insulation, which has resulted in physical discomfort such as headaches and coughing. At this stage, I am contemplating relocating my belongings to an alternative storage facility. Update: I must warn others that I recently spoke with corporate and was informed that they typically do not have staff on site full-time because they make frequent runs to other locations. This information raises concerns about the reliability and accessibility of this facility, especially for renters who require regular access to their stored items. As such, I advise caution before renting from this facility.

They put your unit up for auction despite you making your payments on time. Just found out that my lock was cut off and when I asked the employee on site that they placed it up on auction despite my account showing it was up to date on payments. This was an error that was made on their end which resulted in someone cutting off my lock when I wasn’t present. All I got was not getting charged for a new lock as an apology.

They don't answer the phone even if you leave a voicemail. They are not helpful when you try to find the storage the your really need, they are just there to charge you fees. They are not very knowledgable of what your needs and how much space you might need. Even if you try contacting them on their website, the chat representatives are not helpful either. You are on your own.

Terrible they had people robbing storages . They were old lady and fat man.at office . If look back few years ago musician was robbed . I fully robbed they take those trailers move to another spot . You go storage claim not lock rights. I checking see class action law suit filled yet ..No cameras anywhere. They make think that with fake ones at front .

You may have multiple options through out the city to store your belongings, but if you care about customer service, honesty and reliability than come store your things at this location. You will be greeted and taken care of by Ms Shirley. She's one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, not to mention extremely helpful in getting you the space you need. I had an issue with the previous location I was renting, and Ms. Shirley took care of it by calling corporate and getting me transferred with very little lost to my original contract. She goes the extra mile to accommodate you, keeps the facility clean, and is available to answer any questions regarding your storage needs. I think she knows that customer satisfaction is key to a successful business, she nailed it with me!

We rented a parking space for one month as a safe place to store our car. We were told that the introductory offer of $25.00 per month covered the first month's rent. We made it very clear we only needed one month and would have the car removed within 30 days. We were charged 8 days following our leaving of the car for $78.00. When questioned we were told that this was the prorated amount for the 8 days following our first months' rent. We repeated again that we would not be there for those 8 days as we would be removing the car by the end of our first month. There is no mention of this prorated charge in our contract nor was it ever mentioned when speaking to the woman working at the store or the salesperson that we originally spoke to. In our contract it clearly states that we pay $25.00 for the first month and $217 for every month thereafter. We did not authorize this charge, but because we somehow inadvertently selected auto pay when signing up they took it anyway. When we spoke to the customer service person, she indicated "you signed up for auto pay, so we can take it. You will not get a refund". We are filing a dispute. Do not rent from these people and do not authorize auto-pay. Be very careful of their "good deals" and "introductory offers" as they are obviously not what they present them to be.

Debbie does such a wonderful job! My husband and I were trying to get through the gate, Debbie came out in the pour & rain to let us know about the app we can download and open the gate without having to get down. So kind & helpful!

Facility is exceptionally clean and has superior security in that you have to code in and code out in order to access or leave , as well as onsite overnight personnel. It also has a bathroom you can use, which is rather nice given time on property is always longer than anticipated. Pricing is competitive and personnel are eager to assist where needed.

Friendly service. Staff was kind and the facility was well maintained.

1) The price went from $110 to $250 in 3 years. 2) We had a rat issue that never fully was resolved. 3) The ceiling was falling apart onto my work equipment and it never was even looked at after we asked for it to be addressed. 4) The restrooms are locked at all times now, which means no washing your hands after touching the keypad that everyone else has touched. 5) The keypad to enter and leave are both on the gate, making you leave your vehicle to enter the code. Not a huge problem, except when it's a massive downpour. 6) I never understood why there would be a dumpster if it's always locked. I could go on but I think I've said enough. Just go down the road and get the same unit for nearly a quarter of the price.

The facility and staff were fine. No service or security issues. The problem was that rent was increased 3% to 8% annually without discussion. Management should be proactive in finding alternatives or suggesting solutions to meet tenant needs. Maybe a smaller unit or another facility would be available. The current advertised rent for my unit is half what I pay.

After having my belongings in storage for 4 months I removed them today and totally regret not listening to others that were moving out as I moved in. The place had my belongs covered in rat feces, urine, and I found 4 rats still eating my mattress and pillow topper. I will never give money to Public Storage again.

The staff here is courteous and very informative. Facilities are clean and well maintained. This is my first time renting a space here and I've only been here for a few days, but I must say that so far I am very impressed with the service that this location has demonstrated. So if you're looking for a spot to store anything that's off the beaten path but still has the capability to ensure that you made a valuable decision, then stop on by and speak with Debbie and get your 1st month free before the promotion ends. Definitely 5 stars!!!!

Avoid this place at all cost, they have a serious rodent infestation problem. Most of the items I had in storage are now destroyed. You have been warned.

Drew in the office is awesome. We called to add a 10x20 unit to our existing three units and she said if I made a reservation online I could probably get a cheaper rate. I did that and knocked the price down by $78/mo plus got an extra 10 feet. When we went to pick up the new unit, she advised that we could convert our existing three 10x20 units to two 10x30 units at the online reservation price and save $600 a month in doing so. Can't beat that! Awesome service. Thank you Drew!

So far so good, I’ve only been there for 3 months. I would give it a 5 star if we didn’t have to get out of our vehicles every time to punch in our access code to enter and exit. Besides that Debbie is very nice, during my move in I dropped a glass bottle by accident and she helped cleaned it up.

How do you go up on price at a place where you have rats? Wouldnt recommend to know one, not even a dead person.

Have to edit my review. Be warned of what you're getting into: over the last 4 years, my rate has gone up by nearly 40%. Nearby storage facilities advertise much lower rates. Plus, the waste bin on premises is locked down, so it's hard to get rid of small trash. I'll be moving to another storage facility shortly. Edited again: my rate now $40 more than the web price listed on the Public Storage website for this location, and they have denied a rate reduction. So, screw these guys. PS: they solicit ratings here right after you move in, before you notice anything is not right, so the ratings skew high due to this unethical practice.

DO NOT RENT HERE! would have given this place a great review, but when I visited my storage I discovered rat feces all in my unit! Feces we’re everywhere. On the floor, on my bed on my kids toys. Feces were up high and down low. The rats climbed on everything. Some of my belongings were chewed through. It was awful. I had to throw away everything. When I told the on site manager, all I was told is “put more of this rodenticide inside your unit” and she gave me a pamphlet to call insurance. She didn’t seem concerned.

RATS EVERYWHERE! This place has a rat infestation problem which management does not care about. You'll see droppings on your stuff every time you visit. Debbie is really nice before renting, and she ignores your concerns after you rent. Spend your money elsewhere, there're 5+ other storage units in 2-mile radius.

Seriously need to know how to get in touch with someone who can fix an issue ... Extremely unhappy with the run around i am receiving ... anyone who knows who is actually in charge please let me know

Very helpful but they're going to try and sell you everything... insurance, supplies, upgraded storage space, and even a $20 lock that you can get for about $7 anywhere else. If you can get through all the cross-sell, it's fine.

Customer service was excellent and professional (Debbie).

Two starts only because move in was great, and Debbie was super helpful and nice. But I am now moving out and I would give them zero stars if I could. There are rats, and I didn’t even have any food in my storage. They got to all my cleaning supplies and so some of my furniture was ruined. I see others have had complaints and told the front desk but nothing was done about it, all that I got was “call your insurance”.

The place has rats and I have a picture below!! I definitely would have given this place 5 stars because customer service was always great and the move-in and move-out process was fast and easy. However, on my move-out day on 7/31/2019, I saw a huge rat in my unit (#5157) that had already chewed up most of my property and left rat droppings. Rent at your own risk!!

The facility is well managed and the staff are friendly and really helpful.

This property has a rat infestation problem that they must have known about. All of the soft sided items in my unit have been damaged by rats. The pictures show a dried out dead rat and rat feces in the unit. When questioned about the issue, the onsite manager, Debbie indicated that it is a common problem and merely offered more poison to put into the unit. The district manager, Jessica, acted like they didn't know. However, they have put poison in my unit over the time that I have rented it and have opened it at least 4 times. They never let me know there was an issue. Rat feces was at the door, along with the poison that they put there. There was no way that they didn't see it. I have paid for storage for sentimental items and have paid more than the items are worth. Now I am expected to clean out the damaged items while the property and company play see no rat, smell no rat, hear no rat. Absolute rip off. I would have been better destroying my items or donating them and not paying for storage and damage to property that meant something to my wife. Poor customer service, poor property management, and no value for the money. I would never rent from this property again and would be leery of any property in this area after dealing with the district manager. BUYER BEWARE. SHOULD BE LESS THAN 1 STAR.

My short time at Public Storage has been decently well. The property is overly protective of my belongs making me clock in and out at the gate, thats its sometimes annoying lol. This place here wow. Don't trust them with anything. See not to long ago I got a unit from them and put my $17,000 drum set,$4,000 surround sound set,and 5 electric guitars ranging from $1,500-$,6,500 each in one. Now keep in mind that I was able to work a deal with them to do weekly rental instead of monthly. First week good second week well there were some suspicious marks around lock. Not one person knew where or even that I had put in storage. BUT THE PERSON AT FRONT DESK DID. Anyways I spoke with him showed the marks even took pics of all of it and made a report. I mean this equipment is my life and money maker. So third week everything again was great. I spoke with the front desk guy again and told him I'll finally have my house ready and will be back in two days to get it out and even was able to pay only two days instead of a week. I'll be damn if I didn't go back to get my stuff and it was all gone lock cut. Now in a rage I went to front desk same guy told him get the film let me see who this poor guy or guys are that are about to be in ICU for life are. Terrified for why at first IDK because he didn't do it...... DID HE??? And yeah the best part of all. Those cameras they have ALLLL around the place are decals yes decals. This place only has the cameras inside the office and outside the office facing entrance actually recording. Never got my stuff and they said they were not reliable for lost or stolen stuff. This has been 4 years ago and I'm still fighting in court trying to get enough evidence that the front desk guy is involved.

Debbie was very helpful while I was at my storage unit today. I have had this unit a long time and have always been happy with how clean the grounds are and how safe it is there. Very friendly management!

I changed my review seeing what has happened. My lock was somehow taken off of my unit, half of my stuff stolen, and another lock was replaced onto my unit by who I am assuming are the thieves. Originally, I thought maybe I was mistaken and I somehow lost the keys. I was incorrect. Upon using a Dremel to cut off the lock on my unit (about an hour before the front office even noticed) all of the boxes in our unit with memories, books, a practically brand new lawnmower and weed eater were gone. The $900 + fish tank that is in the unit also was damaged from someone stepping on the top of the fish tank breaking the lid. After an hour (when the front office noticed we were out there, only reason why they noticed why someone signed up for a unit next to ours and our vehicle was blocking the doorway) they staying out for the remaining 30 minutes to watch us cut off the lock. When we got it off and realized our stuff was gone, they just continued to walk away and told me to the come to the front office. When I entered they just handed me insurance paperwork and told me to call the Carrollton Police Department (which I did) to file a report. A report was filed and then I received a voicemail this morning from a Carrollton officer informing me that I need to move my belongings BECAUSE THIS PUBLIC STORAGE HAS BEEN NOTIFIED OF MULTIPLE THEFTS IN THIS PUBLIC STORAGE AND REFUSE TO PUT ANY ADDITIONAL SECURITY UP INCLUDING MAKING THE GATE MORE SECURE AND/OR PUTTING UP SECURITY CAMERAS!!! STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. THEY ARE OF LITTLE TO NO HELP. I will be seeking the services a far more secure place that has a manager that lives on site with security cameras and a more secure gate. And I hope that the insurance that they told me was "mandatory" in order to get a unit at their facility will reimburse me for all the things that were stolen (seeing as I saw the news from February of this year), that the insurance is nothing but a fraudulent scheme by public storage in order to get more money from their customers, since the insurance company they use just gives public storage a kick back from the insurance company. Someone, somewhere, needs to be held responsible for the lack of security at this facility.

I’ve been here since March and it has been a good experience. Always kept clean with more than reasonable rates. Debbie is pleasant and patient as well as professional and efficient.

If at all possible, do not rent here. Not because of the staff. Debbie is a sweet lady and helpful. Unfortunately management decisions overshadow the quality employees, in this case. Very frequent thefts on property. Management refuses to do anything that Carrollton PD has recommended they do to protect customers (basic things like installing security cameras). Very disappointing. If people are not paying you to manage the property their things are stored on, what exactly are they paying you for?

It is really clean and the staff is very friendly but it is one of the smaller public storage locations. It is tucked away on a side street which I liked. It feels extremely secure.

This is a great storage facility. Debbie (at the front office) is very attentive and took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. They walk the property daily to ensure all of the units are properly secure.
