Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 850 FM 2001, Buda, TX

Don’t rent from here. It was great before “Public Storage” bought out Storage Landing. For the past few months, we’ve noticed our climate controlled unit was having issues. Our cardboard boxes were getting soft and mold started popping up (likely due to humidity/the hot summer heat). The insulation from the ceiling was slowly falling apart and covering our items. And then the bugs….. not just tiny little spiders but crickets, roaches, and some rodent droppings. And they had the audacity to increase our rate despite the fact we could not get ahold of anyone at the front office for over a month. (We were grateful for our unit being right by the gate, but when the gate broke and stayed open for a month- we knew it was time to go.) Public Storage, we will not be coming back.

I’m giving them a little credit for it being clean and nice inside and it looks like they now have dollys and carts you can use. But they don’t do much for you because the elevator has not worked every time we have gone to remove or add items to our storage unit. Maybe it’s worked in between I have no idea but it’s extremely inconvenient. My 75 year old father in law had to carry everything up the stairs in the heat of summer because I was pregnant and couldn’t help. Then today (MONTHS later) my husband had to carry all of our holiday decor down and out to the car while I had to carry our newborn up and down the stairs so I could identify what I wanted. We had tried to go last weekend but the elevator was broken then as well. On top of all of this, I just was notified our rent was increasing by a ton. I definitely can’t recommend this place anymore. It was great when it was Storage Landing (which is why it has such good reviews).

Very friendly staff in the office. Loved the ease of entering and getting to my locker. Highly recommend this Public Storage of Buda!

Jessica and Taren have both been extremely great to work with. Unfortunately the climate controlled building had a few issues that needed to be addressed promptly. After 6+ months the elevator is still not working. My rent was raised after 6 months by 20% which is steep. They were able to bump that out a few months however.

Public Storage-Buda so far has been relatively efficient w/staff and clean compared to my previous experience with Public Storage Bed White. I am grateful that this location nicer.

My experience with this public storage was very good. The building was clean and it had several good quality flatbed push carts available. It really helped me save on the amount of trips and time it took when moving items and boxes into the unit. The staff at this location were very attentive as well. Staff will walk thru the complex at regular intervals to make sure all the units are secure. I actually forgot to slide my lock over one time leaving my unit door shut but not locked. I received a call from them notifying me of this so quick! They let me know my unit had not been disturbed but that they wanted to make sure I was aware so that I could lock it up ASAP. I had no idea I didn't lock it up! I was very grateful for the heads up because I was not planning on going back to my unit for at least a month and it could have been left unlocked the whole time if not for them being so observant and diligent. The only thing I didn't like was that you can not access units after 9pm, but that's a corporate issue. The staff have no say or control over the hours and it's a company set policy so that's why they still get 5 stars from me. The staff there deserve recognition for the great job and service they provide their customers.

Recently visited this location with my friend to move some furniture. We had a problem accessing our unit and was helped by the attending worker. She greeted us with a smile, was courteous and helpful in getting our problem resolved. We highly recommend and thank you Alyssa!

I spoke with Kobe on the phone because I had problems reserving a storage room online. He helped me in every way that was needed to rectify the issues I had and to get the storage room I need. He was kind, courteous, and very professional. I was happy to have dealt with him.

I've rented a storage unit a few years ago. It didn't compare. This place was the simpliest process with the most courtesy. I must say I was impressed with the knowledge and helpfulness of the two staff members who waited on me. It makes me feel safer knowing that they know what they're doing and can make it such a simple process for their customers. I give it a ☆☆☆☆☆ I'll update this and let you know how much they gauge you with rent increase in 6 months. Everyone needs to try to get rich. People don't care what our country is going thru and try to help. Only profit matters these days. No Heart.

Couldn't ask for more. The facility is climate controlled and state of the art. It's also very reasonably priced and the staff was on top of everything.

Our 1st move in was today & of ALL days, the 1 ELEVATOR they have was broken & our storage was on 3rd FLOOR!! So we only took our light large bins & it was the most INCONVENIENT experience. We're not happy about it. PM says that they may not be able to get the elevator fixed 'til another 2-3 days. I feel that inconveniences like this, we should be compensated somehow with our 1st monthly payment. Update: 7/19/24- A few days ago I had a horrible 1st move in experience. My unit's on the 3rd floor & the elevator was out of service. Due to already having a truckload of items, my partner & I decided to lug the lighter items to & fro the stairs to the 3rd floor. We had to return home w/ the heavier bins & unload it again. I gave my unhappy review. PS responded to my frustration & apologized for the inconvenience & gave me credit for the future payments. Elevator was fixed immediately. I appreciate PS' immediate assistance & was very helpful. Thank you Ms.Nan for ALL your help!

There are no carts despite what is advertised online. This makes it very challenging to bring small items and/or boxes from your vehicle to your unit. There is a foul odor on the first floor that has not been addressed. The automatic door is often left open and unlocked. Perfect for opportunity for squatters... Oftentimes, no staff/employee is on site.
