Don't rent from here. I have a unit and I was literally asking the employee a question when he completely walked away from me, got in his vehicle and left. This is absolute unacceptable behavior by a representative of this company. If your employees are going to ignore the tenants, what good are they? I think I will be looking for a new storage location!!
Staff was friendly and understanding. I can tell they where having issues with a tenant but the team handled it great and maintained a level of empathy that was great to see. Good job😊❤️
I’ve had nothing but issues with the Public Storage, on 122nd and Division, since day one. I first rented my space in mid August 2024, button actually start moving in until beginning of September. When I first started moving in, I had a couch that I was trying to get up to my unit on the second floor, but the elevators shut down for night before I could get my couch up to my unit. My friend who brought me and my couch in his truck, had already left. So I had no choice but to leave my couch, with my dolly, in the elevator with a note on the door. The next morning before I could make it in to take my couch to my unit, I got a call from Public Storage saying that my couch was there, but my dolly had been taken. They said they had surveillance of who had taken my dolly and would be issuing a write up, but unless I wanted to press charges, there was nothing more they could do. My dolly was more of the frame of a garden wagon, but it was extremely sturdy and extremely useful. I decided not to press charges for that issue, but three days later I got a call saying that the lock for my unit was found on the ground. As of posting, I have not filed the police report or filed an insurance claim yet, but I’ve been insured that there is no time limit. Due to scheduling conflicts and chaotic situations I have not been able to go through my unit to find everything that’s missing, but there’s definitely a lot missing. Then today, even though I called at the beginning of the month, letting them know about some Credit card issues I was having, they sent me a notice saying that they were going to be foreclosing on my unit. At the beginning of the month, I was assured that they wouldn’t foreclose on my unit and would give me adequate time to pay both October and November’s storage fees. The lady I spoke with today was extremely rude, had a very aggressive tone, and was just all around unpleasant. I think she had claimed she was the manager, but I’m not 100% sure and I cannot remember her name. All I know is that if I had the means and the time to change storage unit locations, I probably would.

We have been almost over once and fully robbed once of our unit contents. This is pretty standard for this location. There are many people in need around this area, including a street encampment that has lived on the side street next to the auto garage for more than the two years we have rented here. We regret it and the company pays their staff not enough to care since they are also a human-less conglomerate, so it wouldn’t be a stretch to suspect an inside job. Run away, don’t walk, unless you are weirdly in need of being robbed.

I can not recommend anyone to use this place ever. If I could give it less than one star I would. Not only was our storage unit robbed not once but twice, they have changed ownership so we will now probably never see that insurance money. There is literally insulation falling off of the front of the building. You try to get help during business hours nothing. They now apparently don't have carts that you can use. And every other month they seem to be raising the rent to make it less and less applicable to stay there. It is the worst ran business I have ever met and I hope they go bankrupt, not out of malice. But so they can no longer be open in order to scam other people like they have scammed my spouse and I.
I would never ever ever ever ever in my life rent another storage unit out with a public storage it was not never Public Storage to begin with Public Storage bought EZ Storage out in when I went to go to my storage my locks was cut off put down on the ground in public storage put a lock on my storage and told me that I couldn't get my belongings because they auctioned out my belongings which is all my sentimental stuff my kids birth certificates they print out of their feet print when they was babies all my jewelry all my mother's Crystal all my business equipment for my business all my things that go into my new house my babies Barbie doll house I have kitchen set about bathroom I have everything in my storage unit made a payment we're back into my account to see if I can get in to see how they took the payment they took the payment and sold my belongings they auctioned out all my belongings now you let me know if that's right or wrong.I'm not only that when I went to go log in they had already locked out my login information took everything out the computer so when I go into the store and ask him what's going on they said that my stuff have been auctioned now I made a payment and they still auctioned down my stuff I will never in life trust another storage unit with Public Storage. Not only that they never told me that I was supposed to sign a waiver to have my locks changed and to top it off I've never had a key to my storage unit being that it was turned over to Public Storage. Corporate came at me with they will pay me $170 and I told them I am not accepting none of that so I'm filing charges and yes I had insurance

P.S.A. ELEVATORS OUT OF SERVICE since 1/30. This used to be a 4 star place, when it was ExtraSpace Storage. One of the main reasons we signed on here was the friendly service and reliability.
Now that Public Storage has taken over, it has gone all the way down hill. Service couldn’t be worse. They tell you to call, but nobody ever answers. They tell you to come in, and when you do, either no one is there or they tell you to call. Do yourself a favor and find any other business to support.
These rat ********! In every storage place I have been in pro-rate is given. THERE IS NO ONE ON SITE ANYMORE. You call in to leave a message to close your storage. They email you saying "you are all paid up." I called and waited for customer service and got someone in the Philippines who could not bring herself to finish her sentence telling me there is no pro-rate. If you just paid you are not getting your money back.
Extra Space was taken over by Public Storage a few months ago. They jacked up the insurance then a couple months later the rent. THE PLACE IS NOW A LITERAL DUMP. There is garbage everywhere. Over the days in a row I went to clear out storage the same garbage was laying around. I forgot to take a photo of the Bluetooth boombox cardboard box sitting in a parking spot full of garbage but if it is still there then you know how well this place is being maintained. There were employees, one was a nice friendly girl who had worked there for years, whom you could talk to to clarify questions. Now the office is dark. THIS PLACE IS HIGHLY UNSAFE. There are people living on the street right next to the building. They mill about on all sides. If one of these people sneak in YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. All of the cameras and screens are not for you.
Check out the pictures of the bathroom. The floors in the hallway are unswept. The carts are soaked in oil. The heat in the building is sweltering all morning before it kicks over later to cool down.
HEY PUBLIC STORAGE - I WILL BE POSTING MY REVIEW ON EVERY SPACE YOU HAVE IN THE CITY. You behaved as expected: firing workers, no one on site, hidden fees and increased rates, and no refund for unused days. You have become so blatantly the kind of business customers despise and have worked hard to change. And up you crept like a whack-a-mole, stealing what you can before you slink away to claim bankruptcy from all the lawsuits you will likely be overwhelmed by.
You all are a messed up storage now. Since having this storage for 4 years, every year of Dec it was free for the holidays. Now their saying I have to pay another amount when I rely on ssi. Bye next month money grubbers. I even have a screen shot of my payment that's for this month of Jan. Privilege workers stealing disabled people money....
been attempting to get ahold of someone at the property to find out the status of my storage unit and have called upwards of 10 times with no response. Does anybody answer the phones ever? Who is the property manager now? WHATS GOING ON WITH THIS COMPANY?! The fact they changed to a public storage without ANY information given to residents here is astounding.
Clean the back of your facility and fix the gutters. Four years now with the same issues every year, it's ridiculous.
Forget my review of the facility- What is going on?! All of a sudden the facility is owned by a different company but they didn’t inform customers of that they just sent a new lease from a new company?! Public Storage, you need to contact customers professionally- this is very unsettling.
There is nothing good to say about this place. Excessive and abusive fees with zero compassion. The manager, Estelle, is deceitful and never delivers on promises or manages to make notes on your account. Not to mention, read your contract, they double the rent after two months… deceitful, corporate greed at its finest all while having the nerve to rent units that are repeatedly broken into. In the span of a year, this happened twice to me….

Estell, our store manager, was so upbeat and welcoming. The facility was spotless and well run. The price from the web was extremely competitive. Offloaded 2 large SUV loads and a full size pickup and it all fit in the 10x5! Thanks Estell!

The place is clean and well kept but the company’s practices in itself Im going to avoid and am moving out because of. They randomly doubled my rates after six months due to “inflation in my area” except if I wanted to rent the same unit it costs LESS than what I originally started paying before they raised it. Bit too scammy of practice for my taste to be honest.
Very nice facility with gated entry and reasonable access times. Constantly clean and well functioning building. Staff are very attentive when needed and price is competitive for area. The only thing I didn't appreciate was the fact they MUST put a sticker on your personal lock if you chose to have one. I asked if they could refrain from placing a sticker and I was told they have to for "security reasons" although I'm not sure what one sticker on the side of my lock will secure. Overall pretty good place.

Working with Robin (and Stella initially )at the SE Division location was/is extremely easy. Robin has been very helpful and on a few things that she didn't have the immediate answer too, got back to me that same day with the answers after looking into what I was requesting.
This a very clean facility, well lit inside as well as the units themselves. I am very grateful I decided to look for a different storage unit from what I was presently (and now formerly) from another company to find this.

I needed a place to put all my items because my carpet was being replaced. Extra storage was around the corner and very convenient. Staff is always nice.
The reason I am giving this place a 2 is because there is not enough employees so that you can be help quickly and if you have question you wait and wait… Need more employees to help the customer .

Extra space storage is a great place to keep your belongings. I've been storing my things here for a few years now. I always feel safe when I'm on the property, and the employees here are always so friendly and happy to help. I recently had an issue with my debit card not processing and a glitch in their system and they went above and beyond to help me and fix things. The customer service here is outstanding and I recommend any one store their things here!
Robin was amazing. Great service! She made the process easy by getting my unit set up in advance. She was welcoming and even waited over 25min past her normal work hours when I got stuck in rainy game day traffic. She absolutely turned the day around!! Facility is clean, affordable and safe!! Very petty and hard to manage. My unit was broken into I asked to move units but didn't get moved fast enough and without my knowledge or consent put a second unit in my name so I could get what wasn't going to fit since the new unit was smaller than my original unit. And to earn a one star the second unit they put me in was the same unit I was moving out of

Had an international shipment ready to pick up. My wife and went to the storage location before close the night before pickup and our code didn't work. The next day I called the manager and told him our code was disabled and he said that it was not. I explained that it would not allow us in the night before. He denied it was disabled. I think that someone disabled it and then ransacked our totes. Stuff was placed in certain way. We did the final pack on every tote that morning. I can see that items were shifted around and put back in a way that was Not the way we packed them.
Now our shipment has arrived oversees and we are missing several items. Brand new shoes i had just bought a few days before because you can not buy size 13 shoes in Thailand. I thoyhht about those many times excited for them to arrive and they are gone. Ripped off and im pist
We are missing an entire bag of my wife cloths. The expensive stuff. Dresses, rompers, shoes. Our Nikon camera is missing and the list is growing as we unpack our totes. All gone. Our visit was at the 82nd Ave location the night of March 9th. It was sometime between 9p and 10p. I have called and left a message with the company. If we don't hear back in 24hrs we will file a police report.
Edited 07/08/2023: I need to edit this review. Our storage unit was broken into during our short stay here. And while the losses were minimal, the destruction and time lost to clean up and repacking were substantial. However, that aside, the biggest issue is the suspect was known to management, yet he still managed to gain access to the facility. Additionally, once we realized that the suspect accessed our unit (an indoor rental) by prying the bars above the unit and dropping down onto our belongings, I noticed many areas in the complex showed evidence of similar damages. Plus, Extra Space Storage's lock can easily be unscrewed from the back, so he had all the time in the world to rummage, and then he just waltzed out the door. I understand that theft can happen to anyone; however, when thieves repeatedly infiltrate in the same manner time and time again, then there is a problem with security that Extra Space Storage should address. I do not hold the onsite manager responsible for this mess (we were not the most pleasant tenants). Still, the executive management at Extra Space Storage should address this issue immediately. I suggest informing all tenants that they should use two locks on their units, reinforce the metal beams above the units (reinforced steel), and put cameras throughout the complex (not just at the doors).
We have always found Extra Space Storage to provide excellent customer service with clean and secure facilities. We had just arrived from a pretty awful move, and we weren't at our best, to say the least. Estelle and her co-worker helped us maneuver our 26ft truck to the best unloading spot. We weren't digging on the outside unit, so she quickly helped us find another. Additionally, they ensured us we could secure a second unit if needed (after hours), which we did. Moving is never fun, but this team helped make it suck a little less. Thank you!
Edit: Called the toll free number I was asked to. They said that they would document everything and get the general manager to give me a call. That didn't happen. Had to call the GM myself and all that they would say is "I can't do that". According to her, she's not able to make any decisions without talking to her boss first. This is a joke. They don't really care about you or your stuff. They give you the runaround. Don't rent here.
Absolutely don't rent here. We've had the unit for a little over a year. It was broke into once, and twice more attemps. Noises coming from other units like people living in them. Prices start off reasonable and they quickly raise them to where it's cheaper other places. Guy today made us feel like it was our fault. Since we keep our own lock on there and that was drilled, the only thing he said could do was to buy us a lock like we had and give us a $20 discount. I will tell everyone not to rent here.

Edit: After less than 6 months, someone broke into my unit and stole both valuable and sentimental items. I had a VERY good lock on my unit (one that you have to have a blowtorch to cut off). The storage unit contacted me, saying that they thought someone may have broken in a relitive timeframe. For crime being rampant in the area, they were quick to contact me and secure the scene from further theft. Based on the responsiveness of the facility, I don't entirely dread the insurance procedure to come.
I was so shocked when I saw the new price I had to pay here for my unit, so I called extra space to talk about options, unsure if there would be any but the manager Estelle was so amazing and gave me so many options to lower my monthly cost. If your price has gone up with extra space, please call them first before moving your things out. I’m so happy with the customer service Estelle gave and how much care she put in to me needing my bill lowered.

Not a secure building! Our unit was broken into. They told us we'd have to subpoena for camera footage. We are a nonprofit based on the other side of the country, and they offered us know break on the 2 months of rent we had to pay before we could get there to clean it out. Don't trust your valuables here!

Insult to Injury - Beware of late fee fine after 6 days! The credit card I used to auto pay my monthly rental was cancelled due to fraud activity. The day I received my new card I called to pay my rent and learned I was charged a $56 late fee!
I plead my case, 3 years of paying Extra Space on time, the card was cancelled due to fraud, I’d called to let them know about the fraud activity (the day the card was declined) and I was waiting for a new card, I have an excellent credit score and pay my bills on time, etc. All the manager said, “it’s in your contract, it’s in your contract”, and “and you’re not able access your storage unit until the late fee is paid”. Absolutely no empathy whatsoever!
bad experience, good price starting out and the store manager Estell was great to work with. The issue is that you feel like the company is doing a bait and switch which is illegal in a lot of business practices. I’ve been there for a little over three months and they raised my monthly fee from $120 to $200 a month! Be aware if you are thinking of using this place that the fee they are quoting you is only for a few months then they are going to raise your monthly fee big time. Why can businesses just be up front instead of surprising you with a ridiculous increase in a monthly fee. I’m totally unimpressed and I feel like I’ve been taken advantage of!!!

Staff is great at this location. How every alot of Crack heads stay or hang out here. My storage unit was broken into. So I moved out. The white bars are easy to remove from the outside. Then they climb up and over. Extra space is aware of this issue. They do not think it is coast effective to fix issue. I will not return.

extra space on division is where I store my stuff mostly because of the people that work here. The lady at the desk every time I need help or my hubby looses those keys is so sweet. She remembers us every time by face and has never put us off or not done everything to make our life easier that she can and with a smile. give this girl a raise!

But, I have to leave for Extra Space Storage on division location that I have been helping by Staff especially Niclo and the manager. They went to beyond and after to make sure everything I needed. I wasn't ready to actually rent a storage space yet, but I went shopping around and met Rikki at Extra Space Storage. She was very attentive to my storage need and was very informative and helpful. So much so, that I made the decision right then and there to give them my business.

i really like the cleanliness and customer care even when they have some hiccups. they don’t have a trash can anywhere at all which is annoying also every three months the rent goes up and i think they should be more transparent about that.

By far the worst facility to do business with. I purchased a abandoned storage this week from this facility I left a $100.00 cleaning deposit. The unit was larger then I expected so I asked if I could finish removing the items on a Sunday and get my deposit back he said yes no problem. I came to finish loading the unit on Sunday like I said I would and they were closed so I was not able to get my deposit. I came back that Monday and they are refusing to give me my deposit because I don't have the receipt they gave me. Even though they can check my ID to verify its me, they still will not return my $100.00. On top of that I was not told that I need to keep the receipt. I have never dealt with this before and I purchase units on a weekly bases. I will be contacting Your higher ups to report, Theft/scam.

Would love to give more stars but after a long day of moving things to storage, on our last load we were there 4 mins past 10pm when the gates close and without even a warning on the time, over the loudspeaker we heard a woman's voice telling a group of people to leave immediately or the cops would be called. I thought it was a pre-recorded message at first tbh. But then following that as my husband and 3 year old son were trying to return the cart we had used to the inside room so we could leave, the voice again went off saying that the couple with the small child needs to leave also that she didn't care that we had a child, she'd still call the police. I found the entirety of what she said to be so unnecessary. We were clearly on our way out. My husband was having trouble getting the door unlocked to leave the cart not realizing it was in fact 4 mins after the gate is to be locked. So that was our first and only day visiting our storage but it was extremely discouraging to be treated that way. The woman never made any announcement to say that it was closing time. I don't see any reason to have been treated that way.

This has to be the best location of Extra Space I've experienced. The manager was very helpful, polite and easy to work with. The facility is new, simply configured and easy to access. Every Extra Space should be like this one.

Place was clean ..The lady there on staff was super help ful she got me in she got me out..She new how to do her job and at the same time treat the person she taking care of with respect and kindness..Which to me is hard to find at most places I tend to go these day and I m sure I speak for alot when I say that..which made renting there very easy decision for me..

Just got my storage unit last week. I picked Extra Storage on SE Division because it is close to where I'll be moving to. My best friend has had a unit with Extra Storage for about 2 years and has had a good experience. So far my experience has been good with both Crystal and John. The facility is clean and feels secure.

They have been wonderful. Ive been renting a storage since my mother died in 2020 and even when times had hit hard they have always worked with me. Recently my life took a turn and my son and I have been relocated for safety and Elsa the store manager has been nothing but amazing from the start of having to get a second storage, to dealing with the case managers to making sure its been a easy transition as well as safety steps for me when it came to which unit would be best for me. Ive been very blessed and thankful.

Nice place. Management seems real eager to do nothing and just sit at that computer. But I’ve had my price raised three times since I’ve been here and a total of 5 months. Definitely take advantage of you and for little in return.
They honored their web rate over the phone when I was having trouble getting their site to work, and were kind and courteous the whole time. There was a little voice pixelation but I'm not sure who's end that was from.
Our storage unit before and after it was broken into… 😔 this storage unit was not only behind a coded gate, but also a code-activated elevator in a temperature controlled unit, indoors… on the second floor. Broken into during business hours. The individual was caught on surveillance but somehow was able to pick through everything and leave… this shouldn’t have happened. The manager had already made her rounds and apparently that meant kicking back long enough for someone to drill a hole in our lock and pick through our stuff. The manager was informed by corporate not to call the police allegedly - nice excuse for doing nothing. Their call may have helped immensely. People sleep in these units… and the person responsible for stealing from us was also an active renter. I am curious as to whether or not this was an inside job. Don’t store your stuff here. Nasty people, nasty place. They will preach about policy but do not abide by policy.
Interestingly, only collectible items were stolen and they were stolen so strategically. Only household items were left.
They raise prices every 6 months. We have never received prior notice to the price increasing. Instead we are told we sent it in the mail, and the price is comparable. We have never received notice. At least we have 30 days to figure out a new solution.
Have a storage here. Parking sucks. Elevator takes an hour to be able to get up half the time now and some time u can use the stairs some times u can't. Don't understand I pay 150$ a month to not be able to access my stuff half the time. How is this professional?
Everything is replaceable. Why spend a lot of money storing stuff. By the time you pay for a few months. You could pay for every thing you stored.
Those places make $66,000 or more a month. Big rip off. If a 10 by 10 was $30 a month. It would be worth it.

I came to ExtraSpace this morning looking for a unit and within 15 minutes I had picked my size, toured a unit, was walked through how to access the property and signed my documents for the lease. This experience could not have been smoother and I am very glad to have been reassured that my unit has many security precautions and is insured through ExtraSpace. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to store some extra belongings at an affordable rate.

I did a contact free rental and the manager made it super easy throughout the entire process. She called me and made sure I had everything I needed and also help me process the payment over the phone it was definitely a good experience as opposed to public storage where I had horrible one.
