If I could give 0 I would. Had a unit here for about a year. (Army stuff happens so it went 9-10 months unchecked) when I came back every single thing in there was INFESTED with huge spiders. I’m sure harmless or whatever but the point of bugs in my belongings stands. I left the unit unsecured with things I decided were now worthless and the company had the audacity to call and tell me there’s a $150 cleaning fee with 0 intention of being apologetic of my things being tarnished.😂 that’s fine.. I get company policy stuff but, WOW!

Candy was very helpful to me even though I was extremely confusing. I kept having to switch dates and even the size of my storage unit. She was patient and very helpful to me. This is not the first time we have used Public Storage and I don't doubt it will be the last. 5 stars.
We stored our entire house here for 4 months. While emptying the unit we encountered countless brown recluse spiders and our things were covered in booklice. All of our stuff was also covered in a thick layer of dirt. The units have about a foot gap from the top of the wall to the ceiling. So if your unit neighbor has bugs you will too. The manager was already aware of the spiders and brushed it off as no big deal. We had to call our exterminator to handle the bugs. We were also charged for the entire month even though we were totally moved out by the 3rd. It's in their policy to not give refunds lol.
Edit: We had to have our $3000 couch totally cleaned. Wrap your furniture. After this review we were contacted by corporate and refunded our last month.

Be aware that if you rent from here, your rent could go up involuntarily every so many months until your paying a ridiculous amount. And it doesn't help if you have been a long time customer, if you have autopay, have never been late with a payment, been a loyal customer, nothing. Your payment WILL go up. And no matter who you speak to there will not be an answer as to why other than we have a right to increase payment and there is no cap as to how much. Also be aware the location on 82nd street is kiosk only. Very seldom have I seen anyone out there. And calling the number gets you nowhere. It doesn't matter if you call the location directly or the company number, you are redirected to this location and you get an answering machine. Someone may or may not return your call. Starting a chat in the app is no better. You are told all agents are busy no matter what time of day it is. I tried for 3 days before reaching someone through chat. It took longer than that for someone to call me back from the answering machine. And I tried reaching another office to speak to someone but because my units are at the 82nd street location I was always redirected to that location on the phone.
I went to my storage today and usually it no one there since it's a kiosk but i met Kelly today and she is just wonderful

Kandi has been so courteous and helpful when my family needed storage units this summer. She took care of us very kindly and professionally. The units are very clean and well-maintained as well. I would definitely recommend Public Storage!
Rented a storage unit in August 2023, it’s a 10x10 climate controlled unit. Rates increased from $95/month to $117/month in February 2024. I received another notice this month that rates are increasing to $140/month starting November 2023. This is a month to month service so I’m not shocked that they price gauge once you have started using the unit, but I do think it’s worth making others aware since it’s almost a 50% increase from my original price 14 months ago.
However, it’s difficult to get accurate information regarding move out requirements. I left a voicemail and never received a call back so I spoke with someone from the customer service department about move out requirements. She said as long as we moved everything out and removed the lock by the end of the month we were good to go. A few minutes later she said I had to call back and submit a ticket 48 hours prior. She said there was no sweeping needed as long as I’ve removed our things, then said it should be cleaned. She said to keep the lock also, but I am not sure I should trust that considering the contradictory information that has been provided.
They don’t refund if you move out mid month, but advised me to go ahead and take the lock off, basically to rent out a unit that’s already been payed for for the month.
All in all, expect price increases every 6 months, poor customer service (with no reference number provided for proof of what you have been advised), and try to speak with someone on site who can give you some type of proof of move out.
this is definitely the worst storage unit I’ve ever dealt with. The overcharge for everything and literally do not ever have anyone on site. The late fees are ridiculous and if you don’t have insurance you have to pay 20$ for their insurance. You can definitely get a bigger unit for way cheaper somewhere else. Oh and if you’re a day late just be prepared to not have access to any of your things and get charged a 30$ late fee.
Do not store here , We recently got robbed and it is an inside job , People next to us are hoping from unit to unit inside , pushed down walls . Property manager saw where it was pushed down and all of our stuff was gone but did nothing to help !!!! Run don't go there !!! Inside job scam !! Beware !!!! Property manager is in on it !!!! Also Jack's the rent up every 6 months !!! Not worth it !!!!

I have a 10 x 20 unit that I've had since 2014. Barry Switzer used to own this facility. My rent was $108 per month. That's reasonable. When Public Storage bought this facility, they have increased my rent every year. My rental is now $180 per month. Are there any other customers that have experienced this as well? Their answer is for me to move my items into another unit the same size. I've paid this facility more than $10K. I would not recommend Public Storage.
Update: As of today, 9/25/23... They've raised my monthly rent to $225. I am going to do some research. If they are charging others less, I will file a lawsuit against them...

I had a great experience with public storage yesterday. I was able to reserve, pay for, and get access to the unit 100% online prior to arrival. Unfortunately, upon arrival we quickly realized we would need a larger unit. Although nobody was in the office, I was able to leave a voice-mail, and Jimmy came quickly even though the office was about to close. He took the extra time to help me switch at the last minute and I was very grateful.

I just rented my first space with this business and I can't believe the outstanding customer service I received! The suggested storage space was perfect for my needs! Some information about the whole process that I didn't understand was thoroughly explained to me in detail and the things I couldn't accomplish by using the app was a breeze for them to handle! Mr. Anthony was a blast to work with and he handled everything quickly! I think I'm going to be a longtime client!
Came to this place twice both times no one was there. Was told they only open by appointment only. Not doing business with a company that don't keep anyone at store. Absolutely not once something happens your never hear from them. . Do Not use. Seem very fishy no one is every here

I only selected one star because it doesn’t let you select zero. I have a family member moving out of town and the policy will not allow me to take over the storage unit. Thus, if anything is to happen to them there property is stuck in storage. There option was to move it from one unit to other. This is the dumbest thing I have heard of. Specially in a military town. God forbid if our Soldiers would lose the life and their property now because another stressor for the family!
