Storage is such an intractable reality (and expense) for so many New Yorkers. While I can't say that I am overjoyed with my financial relationship with PS, I am pleased to have my experience assuaged by such a communicative and sincere individual.
I had a great experience with Elijah, the manager at 4102 Northern Blvd. He was kind and courteous and helpful and I appreciated his wonderful customer service.
We were treated like "valued clients" by Elijah. He was kind, caring, and very professional. We got a great space at a great price. Elijah is management material and I highly recommend him as someone to work with if you need Storage.

The facility pushes for positive reviews so take the public review with a grain of salt. I went to sign up to move in here. The person at the facility showed up 15-20 minutes late (after 9:30am). I went to move in, there were several hiccups. Card reader wasn’t working, etc. The desk guy had me change a reservation online. It seemed like the info was changing and he had to call someone. I was doing some of the signing and I asked and he kept saying approve. My email reservation says $1 for first month. He said it was $120 for the first year. Then he said it was $120 for the first month and $167 after but they might raise it. He said I had to pay cash and gave no change. I should have flipped out then but moving sucks and I just wanted to get things done. After an hour I went back and just asked to cancel. Agent said no refund, full or partial. I asked if he’d just try. He said he’d ask his manager and I asked for the manager’s phone number. He called and gave that. I called her (Carrie Bonder). She immediately started being aggressive and did not discuss what happened let alone any partial or full refund. She hung up. I called back and she didn’t answer. They sent a move out receipt which is less than 2 hours from my move in receipt and wouldn’t give any sort of refund- full or partial. Nothing was stored, I didn’t access the unit. Scam. Avoid at all costs.

I had a very stressful situation and Terrell happened to be working the weekend I needed to take care of business. He truly was the most kind, understanding and patient human being I have ever met at this facility. He was extremely professional, had a therapeutic way of speaking that didn't make me feel anymore stressed or anxious given my situation and he was helpful and very knowledgeable. In any business (not just public storage) there needs to be more people like Terrell. Someone who knows what they're doing, someone calm, knowledgeable and respectful; just a decent human being. It really makes the world of difference to the customer to be treated so kindly. You never know what someone is going through or how badly a day they are having. So thank you, Terrell, for being patient and helping me.

Criminal practices. They tell you they won’t raise rates for at least 1 year and it won’t exceed 10%. Lo and behold 4 months later they want to raise my rate to more than double and state its due to market value. There are still rates available online for the same amount and some even less than what I signed up for. Jared on the company’s escalations line was also extremely rude and hung up on me- not worth the headache and a total trap. STAY AWAY

Excellent service at the reception. Thank you Elijah! However, it would be really helpful if there were either 1) more available carts, or 2) a rule that one group cannot hold 2 carts at once. With my friends, we had to bring all our items to the 5th floor with our bare hands, as the 4 carts were being used by 2 groups of people.

Dealing with ELIJAH HAS BEEN ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCES! His attitude is disgusting and full BLOWN RUDE! Who ever hired this man needs to reevaluate who they’re hiring!! He calls my phone non stop after a situation was already resolved and comes out completely DISRESPECTFUL when he doesn’t get the answer he wants! MANAGEMENT SUCKS WITH THIS STORAGE SITE. Theres lack of communication between staff, Director and customers. Darnee was one of the staff members I have dealt with and unfortunately he was let go and now the company is trying to cover up all his mistakes and penalize their customers!! I am being charged double the amount due to my storage units not being transferred properly!

Good pricing (many storage places are too pricey these days, or quickly increase signup pricing), smallish vehicle loading dock, pleasant staff, can receive packages (but not mail - need to sign up / consent form).

This system to travel through this place is dumb. Put the key pad code in the elevator. If 2 is where the front desk is. The evaluator should stop on 2 and 1 with no code. So stupid.
Absolutely the worst experience at this location, closing time is at 6pm and they turned us down at 5:45 with the car full of heavy things to store, mind you I already have the membership with them, now I have to return car full 15miles away

I came into public storage at 4102 today and had the pleasure of meeting Malakiy the property manager at the location btw he has the best customer service I have received while looking for a storage unit and I couldn’t be more pleased with the service I received although they didn’t have exactly what I was looking for I highly recommend.

This is my first time using Public Storage, I have used other companies before. Staff, Felix and Jamie, went above and beyond to move me in when Felix noted an issue with the door of the space. He notified management and was able to move me to another unit that was secure. I appreciate the initiative and quick action.

Jamie Lock, the PM at 4102 Northern Blvd. has always been so helpful and accomodating towards me as a customer, and with a smile on her face.
The service at the front desk is not only unhelpful but also unfriendly. Repeatedly needing to input codes to access floors, exits, and storage areas, The presence of caddies at the front desk, rather than at the pick-up exit area where they are needed, adds unnecessary complications. Furthermore, the arbitrary increase in fees without prior notice is unacceptable. These restrictive policies seem designed to exploit clients, leaving us vulnerable and unprotected. It's evident that they wield their power to penalize clients at their discretion. I strongly urge potential clients to explore alternative, more client-friendly storage services. Additionally, be cautious of their billing practices; they do not pro-rate fees, even if you vacate one week into a month for which you've already been charged.
I found Jamie, my property manager with Public Storage, to be very professional and downright personable.
Something needs to be done about the vagrants sleeping by the entrance. They are aggressive and can be violent.
At approximately 3PM I was verbally accosted outside of this public storage business and threatened with violence. If this is an employee then I hope that behavior is not acceptable by this business and or it’s owner. If this is a customer then I would give the employees a heads up on a mentally unstable individual.
I will be following up with contacting this corporate entity and filing a formal complaint.

Rob was so helpful to me today setting up everything for the storage unit. He was such a pleasure to speak with as was Jamie. He made getting a storage unit that was perfectly located with a great size so easy and I’m absolutely thrilled.

Clean building, nice space for storage and made super easy with the online reservation option. Zaiah, who helped us once we arrived, was super helpful and explained everything clearly. The only thing we didn’t love about the process before arriving at the facility they didn’t tell us there was mandatory insurance which is an extra cost. However, because the online price was so great we weren’t deterred from moving forward.
And it helped that there was A+ service once we arrived

Building is always clean , my questions are always answered accurately, there was one time I couldn’t get in because my code wasn’t working and Jamie walked me through the whole process and made sure that I was able to access my unit .. she is very helpful and polite always has a smile and greets everyone

Love this location. The people who work here are very professional and are always willing to help with any problems I have. They always find a resolution.
