IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD!! WE RENTED A TRUCK FOR THE DAY TO GO AND MOVE OUR THINGS, AND NOW WE HAVE TO RETURN THE TRUCK, UNMOVED, BECAUSE ONE OF THE ELEVATORS IS OUT, AND THERE ARE NO HAND CARTS AVAILABLE. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. AND IT'S THE END OF THE MONTH SO NOW WE WILL BE FORCED TO PAY ANOTHER MONTH WITH NO DISCOUNTS FOR OUR INCONVENIENCE, AND WHEN I SAY INCONVENIENCE I MEAN THE $125 WE HAD TO PUT OUT FOR THE RENTAL OF THE TRUCK. WHEN THE OFFICE PERSON I SPOKE TO INFORMED ME THERE WAS NOTHING HE COULD DO HE TOLD ME I COULD CALL HIS BOSS AND SEE IF HE HAD ANYTHING TO OFFER. THIS PERSON, DAVID, WAS VERY ABRASIVE AND BASICALLY IN LAYMAN'S TERMS IT'S NOT THEIR FAULT. SO IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A PLACE THAT IS GOING TO ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT YOU AS A CUSTOMER, DON'T GO HERE. I FELT BAD FOR THE PERSON IN THE OFFICE BECAUSE HE WAS TRYING, BUT DAVID HIS BOSS, WAS DEFINITELY A CORPORATE MAN. YOU CAN'T OFFER ANY TYPE OF DISCOUNT, COMPENSATION, ANYTHING?

I had to come on here to write a review about Samantha the property manager. She was phenomenal with assisting me with the unit that was best to fulfill my needs. She was very professional, informative, and helpful with answering all of my questions. I have used another storage unit in the past with a different facility and after experiencing this one I will definitely be returning. Property manager Samantha excels in giving great customer service. If you are looking for a self-storage facility in Neptune, Public Storage is the place to go to and ask for Sam!

My father does not work well with computers but he was determined that he leave a review for this location after the interactions he has had with the staff. The facility is very clean and well maintained which was an important factor in our decision to use this facility. Sam at Public Storage Neptune was the most pleasant and helpful people that I have ever dealt with. Management was always very prompt in getting back to me if I had a question about anything

Update: I recently had some issues with moving from my previous home to the next and thankfully when I called to ask some questions about my unit and the time frame I could come move some of my stuff I had a really lovely lady on the other side of the phone who made me feel like I was back in control again. It’s been very stressful moving all my stuff around but at least I know it’s safe at Public Storage!! Thanks again!! I can’t imagine putting my stuff anywhere else! The customer service is unmatched!! I was really nervous about the whole process but I received a phone call almost immediately after booking my move in date… and I ended up moving in that same day! It was such an easy process and the lady on the phone (I think her name was Sam) made me feel so much better about the whole process. The place was spotless and clean as well I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!! Thanks again girl!!!

If you’re looking for a climate controlled storage facility this place is NOT it! Rented a unit in July of 2024 inside and had our couch absolutely destroyed by water intrusion. We have photos of water intrusion on the walls and a soaking wet couch and the most insurance is willing to compensate is $250. If you want your stuff to get ruined just leave it outside and save yourself $120 a month.

UPDATE: ALTHOUGH THE STAFF IS VERY NICE, BUYER BEWARE... THEY WILL NOT PRORATE YOUR MOVE OUT. SO IF YOU MOVE OUT ON SAY THE 5TH OF THE MONTH YOU'RE PAYING FOR THE FULL MONTH.. WHICH MAKES ZERO SENSE TO ME.. EVEN IF YOU'RE MOVING OUT ON THE 2ND YOU'RE PAYING FOR THE WHOLE MONTH. THAT'S WHY I WILL GIVE THEM TO STARS IS SIMPLY BECAUSE OF THE STAFF..Wonderful staff! Samantha was very helpful with getting an appointment, and Dave was very polite and helpful. Great place for storage. The only reason I could not give it five stars was because when we went to pay with cash we were told they did not have change. Luckily, ShopRite is right across the way so my husband went and broke a larger bill to give them exact change. So I would highly recommend the storage unit because of the wonderful customer service, but if you want to pay with cash make sure to bring exact change. Would highly recommend

We are paying over $300 a month to store our belongings and furniture in a climate controlled unit on the 1st floor. Everything is covered in black mold and ruined from moisture damage due to improper climate control. We’ve tried calling the regional manager multiple times and have either never heard back or received a response that there is nothing much they can do. We were also told that the storage unit insurance we pay for will “not cover much”. We can’t get out of this storage unit fast enough. Do NOT use this storage facility unless you want to pay a premium price for your items to be ruined by mold.

They were very professional very courteous you elevator You didn’t work, but we got through that but overall, I had a great experience and I will recommend this to some of my friends who are looking for storage in the near future

I want to give a shout out first and foremost to the property manager (Samantha) for being helpful in answering all our questions in a very informed and patient manner. My wife and I first moved into this Public Storage facility back in November 2023 (10x15, 1st floor, indoor, climate-controlled unit). We eventually downsized to a 10x10, 1st floor, indoor, climate-controlled unit. I can't emphasize enough the importance of having a facility that is climate-controlled. I've come to learn that the facility is set to 80F for AC and 50F for heat, according to a facility representative I spoke with in the chat feature. The rep also mentioned that that is "a standard temperature set by corporate." Unfortunately, I had several items that fell victim to humidity damage such as our dining set, book shelves, shoe rack, nightstands, shoes, clothes, coffee maker, toaster oven, books, paperwork... generally the surfaces of many of our items in storage. I had to give some of them a deep clean, but others I had to toss out. Not only was this humidity issue a detriment to the integrity of the items stored, but it is also more importantly a detriment to human health. Mold is a serious respiratory matter that should be rectified from a facility-wide standpoint. I reported this to the Samantha who was responsive to and validated my concerns. She mentioned to properly store items if I didn't already (i.e., put items in rigid plastic containers, to also use moisture absorbers, and to wrap furniture accordingly). In response, I emptied out contents of our cardboard moving boxes (as we had several) and put them in rigid plastic containers. I also took items back home in fear of them getting destroyed by mold. Samantha also mentioned that fans/dehumidifiers would be installed. And they were installed within days. We were happy about that. Still, humid conditions continued to persist and so did the mold issue. That was the primary reason as to why we had to move out of the facility. We trusted Public Storage to hold our belongings safely during our transition phase, and we were let down. I hope there is a long term solution to the humidity/mold issue. I hope Corporate underscores the importance of this message and takes action promptly. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has voiced this concern.

Sam and Sam were very helpful in renting a storage unit. They showed us multiple size to be sure it would fit our needs. It was an easy process.

The storage facility is clean and the staff seem nice. No issue there. However, I just had my rent raised over 33% in less than a year as a new customer. This outrageous price hike is a perfect example of a business who doesn't appreciate their customers. I understand that prices need to rise over time slightly. But 33%+ in less than a year is a gross abuse of corporate greed.

Don't trust this bussinness my belonings, were sold before the deadline for payment, and everytime people went en person to pay The attendant wasn't there, we have to wait for her to come. Personaly people who owns this bussinnes are dishonest, I will never use Their services, the reazon I rented an unit with them, because it was the only place with vacant unit. This company is very abusive they sold my stuff, now they said I still I owned money. I send my complaint to consumers affairs.

I’ve been renting here for some time and have to say Samantha the property manager is amazing. I don’t usually make reviews but needed to for her. She keeps the property immaculate and does her lock checks everyday making sure everyone’s items are safe and secure. I’ve seen her out on the property a few times and she’s nothing but kind and attentive. I ended up forgetting to lock my unit one day and she had called me the same day to inform me it was not secure and that she placed a lock on it for the time being until I could come to the property so she could remove it and I could place my lock on it. She’s always doing her best keeping the property clean even when customers just dump their belongings all over the place when they shouldn’t. When I stop in to say hi she always has a smile on her face and she is just so pleasant. Neptune isn’t a great area so I was extremely nervous with storing my belongings in a storage unit around the area. After going to numerous places I felt so comfortable at Public Storage. I’m happy to be a customer and I’m happy to know that Sam is always around to make sure my items are safe. Please don’t let someone’s false and bitter review steer you from this facility. They actually have an employee that cares about the property along with the customers

By far the worst worst place ever they got the assistant manager living on top of the storage so I wanted to make sure all my items was safe SO I PARKED ACROSS THE STREET AR SHOP RIGHT TO WATCH and the assistant manager comes down at night when the gates lock to check everybody’s unit and going through peoples stuff SMH She is beyond dirty she do not keep her area clean her cars are always blocking the bathroom entrance or the drive entrance In the bathrooms or never ever clean or got toilet paper in it nobody is ever in the office you have to ring a bell and she comes down from her house JUST NASTY And make sure you always make your payments on time and read your contract if you don’t make a payment and you’re late in seven days they lock you out of your unit after I caught her on video going through people unit I reported her to the district manager and then they locked me out of my unit so make sure you get your own lock do not buy there lock…. Everything she owns is from somebody storage unit YOU STUFF IS NOT SAFE ….. In a AVTIVE CASE WITH THEM NOW

Our first floor storage unit is completely filled with mold. Several of our belongings are now ruined and they refuse to turn the AC down from 80 degrees in this summer heat. I do not recommend this facility AT ALL AVOID AT ALL COST

CJ and Samantha were absolutely amazing, extremely professional, and personable. I had to reschedule my reservation several times, and they were very understanding. CJ conducted the walkthrough and helped me set-up my App. I must say it was a seamless process. Thanks CJ and Samantha!

Still evaluating my options, so I decided to stop in. Tina was fantastic helping me understand pricing options and provided me the opportunity to see a couple of units up close and personal. Unclear if I will go this direction, but I definitely appreciated Tina's time and professionalism.

3/4 rent increases in just 2-3 years, all during covid hard times and even during the nationwide shutdown. My unit price almost doubled since i first moved in!! Elevator is broken 30% of the time After a complaint to corporate they discounted my rent a tiny bit, which helps..but no rent increase should ever be a whopping $50 in shot!! Rent increases on storage units are usually like $10-20. 50nis insane! And it's NEVER clean anymore. Now even inaide my unit is getting dirty from all the debris and dirtyness from the halls getting blpwn under and tracked into my unit by my feet or passing wind. It always has a rotten stale basement smell. I asked about this once snd was told they rotate cleaning floors. There are literally only 3 floors, and 1 building. If you sweep and mop just 3 floors onve a day, that's pretty sad. I only chose this place, because it was great years ago in the early 2000s when i had a unit there. It's clearly owned or run by completely different people from before. The quality went way down. Even the "relief" employee that doesn't regularly work that location, was shocked to hear some of the problems i was having. She was who actually wrote a complaint on my behalf, which resulted in a slight rent decrease thank goodness. I even had no hallway sensor light and was left in the scary dark at night, as a woman, for over a YEAR before they finally fixed the light that i reported to them as broken over a year ago prior. If you must use Public Storage, i HIGHLY recommend ANY other location but this one in NeptuneTwp. .

I don't know where all of these ratings came from, but my experience was a complete disaster! No one is ever in the office, incorrect information is put in their system and the customer has to suffer to get it corrected when it's the office fault. All you have to do is read and verify the driver's license number and make sure it matches what you are putting in the system. Phone etiquette?? None. This office needs to have a class on customer service. I checked out of storage and had the confirmation and stopped auto pay. They tried to bill me the following month. After disputing, I guess they realized they made the mistake and finally corrected it. smh

The facility has recently been renovated and Corinne, the manager was an absolute joy to work with. We had a few last minute changes and they were handled quickly and most important, pleasantly. Highly recommend.

Corinne was very helpful in assisting us with getting a storage unit and providing answers to our questions. In the mist of signing us up for a storage unit the fire department, ambulance and cops showed up due to someone stuck in the elevator. Corrine handled the whole situation professionally. I personally feel there should be two employees there in case of situations like this. But again she handled everything very well. Kudos to her. Hopefully her boss will acknowledge what & how she handled this situation which apparently isn’t the first time but had occurred numerous times before. Anyway I hope she gets a raise and some needed time off.

Must be one of the worst unit spots around. Smells like mold and mothballs, the elevator hasn’t worked in 3+ months, the doors have been broken for a week so just anyone can walk in, there are no carts, they don’t even cover the BARE minimum and now they raised the rates by like 20%. Insane. Leaving this month

I could not have asked for a better experience. Eunice, the property manager, bent over backwards for us. We had to move in after the snow storm, so the facility had not been plowed. Eunice stayed on calls all morning to get the plows to come so that I could move in. We also had to transfer from another facility in a neighboring town, because of the snow, and Eunice was on top of getting our refund issued. And to make the experience even better, I did not have to call Eunice to follow up. She called me every step of the way to let me know the status of my refund, and even to let me know the status of the snow plows. Best customer service possible!

Eunice saved my life in a nor’easter. I’ve never experienced such a customer advocate in any company I’ve ever used. I’m so glad that we’re using storage at this exact property so we can interact with Eunice. Thank you SO much!
