South Gastonia Storage Units On U.S. Route 321
This Gastonia Public Storage provides a variety of self storage options for customers on the south side of town, just a few miles south of I-85 or U.S. Route 74.
It's an easy location to spot, perched on the west side of York Road just south of Hudson Boulevard, with outdoor storage units and indoor storage units in several different sizes. There are also enclosed units for vehicle storage.
All of the gear needed for hiking trips and camping trips to Crowders Mountain State Park can easily store in a 10x10 storage unit at this location, including tents, backpacks, camping chairs, coolers and hiking boots.
Families living near Hunter Huss High School who are turning that extra bedroom into a home office can grab a 10x20 storage unit to hold mattresses, dressers, bookcases, bed frames and more, while a 10x30 storage unit is large enough to hold couches, refrigerators, washers and dryers too.
The facility manager lives at the property, which is open 7 days a week. Inside the rental office, customers can also purchase packing supplies, including moving boxes, tape and bubble wrap.

My first time ever renting a storage space. The lady helped me pick a storage unit that was just right for me. She was very friendly and explained everything in detail. In the future if I need or know of anyone needing a unit I would recommend this storage facility.
This place is awesome, the move in was quick and easy. They also have great security on sight. Will be using again. Highly recommended!!!

Started renting a storage space 3 months ago and was told that the rate would increase in 6 months. After 3 months, fees went up by $40. When I called the location, the representative told me to call customer service. I called customer service and they said that they reassess rates every 3-6 months and increase these rates depending on demand. Also, told that there is nothing that could be done and that property management has stated the new rate would stand.
In closing, beware of this company. They will increase the rate without warning, and not do anything to accommodate you as a consumer. There are other local companies in the area who will not do this. Please contact me directly by clicking on my profile, and I can provide that information for those reputable companies.

Great service
I rented a unit in April until today. It was ok , not the best but we needed storage quickly. The rate for a 5x7 with insurance and lock was 96 a month. Ok great whatever, then I get an email saying my 5x7 unit is going up to 114 a month. That's not right. It's little bigger than a walk in closet , outside and not climate controlled. That's highway robbery. The entire compound is nasty and not well kept , there is no one on site so if you have an issue you just have to hope the kiosk is working. We moved out and will not return to this location. There are better kept climate controlled units nearby that are cheaper and have staff on site to assist you. Do better please. People are struggling badly enough right now without getting hosed over storage units.
Kiosk wasn't working and had to drive to Union Rd to the office, and Laura spent 2 hours back and forth on the phone to get everything set up right. I appreciate having someone who is willing and patient enough.
It's a great place to store your stuff. The staff is awesome and the blonde that works behind the desk is gorgeous. Very friendly I wish she was single
You can't beat the customer service that you receive here. Laura and Camero are so nice and willing to go out of their way to help.

This place is gross, dirty and the units are filthy. There has been a sketchy cooler covered in flies a couple units down from mine, sitting outside for over a week. (Pic attached) No telling what is in there. I have included a photo of the sign by the dumpster, which clearly states “Help Up Keep Your Space Clean”. So after cleaning my unit because it was disgusting when I first arrived, I took my trash FROM the unit to that dumpster and then was fined $75. Clearly the don’t want to keep it clean by the looks of it. The storage units on Hudson are brand new,
Wayyyyy cleaner and cheaper, go there!! Do not rent from here unless you want insects and spiders all in your stuff.
