Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 4715 Park Road, Charlotte, NC

Lady at this location, think her name was Ty. She was very helpful and nice, needed help with something going on with my son storage. She made the process soooo much easier than the person on the phone. Very customer friendly.

Do Not Use this location or public storage!!! I had a pleasant experience renting the unit at first. Then it went downhills fast. They raise the rent after a few month w/just a notice email that its going up. Not asking, not negotiating, not even advanced notice so that you can move out. And its impossible to reach the property manager or anyone in corporate other than live chat and they tell you to wait 72hrs. They expect you to work around their schedule not yours. Ive stopped by many times to get ahold of the manager but never saw anyone and the door is locked. Ive called so many numbers and it goes to vm 100% of the time. Ive seen people here who couldn't unlock the elevator with their app and just wait out helplessly. Do not waste your time, you will never see a real person at this location.

The facility is nice, but just after 4 months of having a unit they went up over $110 a month in rental cost.. over 25% increase for existing customers.. would NOT recommend using any Public Storage brand facility

DO NOT STORE ITEMS HERE OR BUY AUCTIONS FROM THIS LOCATION BECAUSE THEY WILL STEAL YOUR ITEMS!!! I do a lot of business with Public Storage both personally and through my business but unfortunately someone at this location is a thief. I purchased a storage unit through a third party and in a nutshell the pictures that was taken of the unit and the way the unit looked when it was opened by the staff after I purchased was totally different. Someone had ransacked it and stole a lot of items mostly from the jewelry box that was in the unit. STAFF IS THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO HAVE KEYS TO THE UNITS ONCE THEY GO ON AUCTION. The area manager and I believe one of the store managers did not handle the situation as the should have. It seemed like no big deal to them. What should have been a really nice haul turned into a nightmare with a bunch of junk.

Even though all units were taken, Ms Jo still took the time to explain how things worked. Updated Review: After a bad experience from a break in. District Manager contacted us regarding our issues. She clarified the position and duties each employee is to do in this situation. The one employee handled our situation the best she could. The insurance company that we had to purchase since we are renting from this company is blaming the facility being non compliant and it seems it’s the Insurance company that’s lying and avoiding our unfourantate violated experience. We feel very violated and hate we purchase this insurance monthly, but appreciate the local Public Storage Facility at Park Rd trying to resolve their part in it and being willing to be of assistance if possible. I did not give 5 stars because it has taken a while and still has not been resolved, there was a bad experience With another employee, and our belongings was stolen and we are out of equipment, while an insurance company is trying to avoid coverage at all costs.

Sherese took the experience of renting a storage unit from just another "to do" list item to the highlight of my day! So glad I rented here

Today was my last day utilizing this Public Storage location for my storage needs. After having been a customer for almost a year and a half, I would like to say that I have never been treated with such amazing customer service and satisfaction as I have with this group of ladies. Lauren was great and always helpful. Renee and Desiree both assisted me tremendously with my move out of the unit. I was not able to be at the unit as I currently live out of state and needed assistance opening the unit for me in my absence, and in guiding the movers. Lauren was the consummate professional. Easy check-in, easy processing, i.e., first-rate service! Expecting an uncomplicated experience while my belongings are stored at this facility. The only admonition I'll make to the owners/management is this -- please consider extending accessible hours to 10:30pm each night (from a current 9pm closure). Working adults access storage units AFTER work-- conventional business hours 9-5/10-6. A 9pm closure doesn't leave a satisfactory amount of time for customers to work in/out of their storage unit. 9pm is not tenable.

I originally rented two units. Lauren helped me and she was outstanding. I came back to rent a third unit. Tiana, who was also outstanding, helped me with this one, and everything went smoothly. Lauren and Tiana were both very pleasant and helpful. All three unites were clean. Check-out was quick and easy. Overall I was very impressed!

Great storage location, there are various size units over 4 floors in a heated/cooled building with good access via a covered loading bay and pin code elevators. The staff I have encountered are friendly and helpful, and Brenda did a great job at check-in, explaining and showing everything I needed to know. The facility is accessed via a side road with traffic light intersection to Park Road, so good road access as well. You have to buy the barrel lock that fits in their doors, but saves having to get a separate pad lock, and its yours to keep. I was a little surprised that the roof of the unit looks like chicken wire, but I expect that is to facilitate temperature control, and the security seems pretty good with cctv etc. So I have been very pleased so far.

The Good: First, the staff at this location is extremely friendly and courteous. Kelly helped me secure a unit and even stayed after hours to help resolve issues when there was an error with the computer estimated monthly unit rate. Her positive attitude and willingness to help is the only reason that I would consider using Public Storage in general, again. The storage units I were shown were extremely clean, and the facility seems well-secured. The Bad: Public Storage in general tries to micromanage everything from corporate. While I understand that this can be beneficial at times, the result here is that they mistake units that are and aren't available. I had to remake my reservation multiple times with corporate, and even when I finally reserved a unit, I received a call back that they had made a mistake and that unit wasn't available anymore. By the time I got to the storage facility, I found out that that wasn't the case and that actually that unit was available. In addition, I was originally told that only one person would be able to access the storage unit - not true. We are given two keys and you can put multiple people on the access sheet. This issue created problems because I originally had to cancel my reservation because I couldn't make it to the facility at the appointed time due to work and I was told if my boyfriend came in my place, I would have no way to access the facility. Lastly, while I originally was quoted a discounted rate for the first month, when I went to secure my unit I was told that I must have been mistaken or misinformed because there were no discounts on the unit I requested. Although this issue was resolved by the excellent local staff at the Park Road location, it did create a 2-hour headache while reserving the unit that even the corporate customer service informed me was out of their hands. In the end, the local staff resolved the issue and I received a unit that was suitable. Summary: Excellent local staff and local facility, but corporate's attempt to control everything from a central locations makes more headaches than it is helpful.

I stopped by the Park Rd. facility, shopping around and Matt has definitely raised the bar when it comes to customer service. He showed me around the facility, explained to me some of the benefits of choosing that particular property, showed me the different units and explained how much could fit in each different size, and also took the time to go into detail about which products I will need to pack and move my belongings in a safe and efficient manner!! The property is clean, the units are adequate, the location is fantastic, and the customer service is absolutely phenomenal!!

I stopped by this Public Storage several weeks ago, and since the holidays are hectic for everyone, I am just NOW getting around to writing it. So, Ashley, sorry for the delay! Basically what I wanted to say is the experience I had with Ashley and this Public Storage was one of the best customer service experiences I have had in my life. Not only was Ashley very knowledgeable about the business and what she does, but she knew a great deal about the property, especially those things that were important to my husband and myself, especially since moving during the holidays is 100 times less fun than probably any time of year. She was kind, charming, very professional but without being overbearing, and very funny on a day when I really needed a good laugh. Enough about the great manager there; the location was great. It was clean, well-lit and I felt very secure with all of the precautions Ashley told me they had on the property. Ashley, if you read this, thank you so much for everything you helped my husband and myself with over these last few weeks. I truly appreciate everything you did and we'll see you in the New Year!

I stopped in last week and was overwhelmed by the kind intelligent woman named Ashley that helped me with my questions. If I had ten employees like her in my business I would be highly successful. One of the best experiences in customer service I have in years. This company should make a mold to duplicate this girl. Thanks Ashley

We had to find storage space quickly after our house sold. Ashley saved the day by finding appropriate space and explaining to movers just where to unload. Great location and hours....and best staff (thank you Ashley)!

6 months ago we moved to Charlotte and rented a unit from this location. We were very excited because it was the right size, close to our home and priced fair. That all being said I should have known something was up when I was required to buy their in-house insurance even though I already had coverage (I was given a pro-rated amount back in a future month when I called the regional manager), and then required to buy THEIR lock, even though I already had one. 6 months later without notice (although they say they mailed us a letter), we were a bit shocked to realize our auto-withdrawal showed a rental increase of 25%! I fully understand rate increases, but 25% in six months is 100% unacceptable. They never mentioned to us on move in we should expect increases that often, nor of that amount. I quickly contacted the local office, who shoved me off to corporate who informed me that it was NON-NEGOTIABLE. Poorly done. Excessive increase and bad practice. You lured us in at a fair price, and then increased it to a price that is no longer ok.

I come into Public Storage every Wednesday morning to pick up my shipment and every time I come in Tierra is a joy to work with. Very polite and always smiling.

The facility was very clean as well as organized and the customer service that I received from Tierria was exceptional. I called first and she was very patient and upon my arrival, she explained and made recommendations that would make my move somewhat easy. I would definitely recommend this facility to others.

It was my first time ever renting storage. I walked into the office and was cheerfully greeted by a lovely woman who I believe introduced herself as Ashley. She walked me through everything, step by step, and was a pleasure doing business with.

Came in to public storage to check on some prices because ill be moving to Chicago within the next 4 months. The manager Tierra did a great job explaining everything to me and on top of that she is super friendly. Excellent customer service, I will return in July.

Really well kept facility; good location near Park Road Shopping Center; well lit, well maintained, clean, good security. **HOWEVER** Public Storage management is Nazi about timeliness of payments - they will cut the lock and lock you out even if only a couple or three weeks late. Then you have to buy one of their locks (you can't use your own lock), which is just pure money grab on their part. It's really kind of a scam almost. If I beat my clients up that bad for being 2 or 3 weeks late on paying me, I'd go out of business in no time flat. The Atlantic Storage facility on Monroe road is starting to look attractive and is staffed by far more professional personnel.

Awesome customer service. Tierria is very personable and professional. She made me understand what I needed and helped me grasp the full solution before I left. Since I'm a visual person Tierria even took me to a demo storage unit so I could visualize my property in it. Awesome location. Awesome staff.
