Even regardless of not being able to check in and pay due to computer system error, Kenny assisted in trying to find the unit I could pay for and due to the system not updating we both had no luck but she was very informative and helpful with the whole process and restored my faith in that public storage is the right choice for me. Is this a real place? I went here never saw anyone. I had issues and was promised a refund by mail over the phone. How can I check refund?

SCAM WARNING!! KEEP YOUR MONEY!! I made an online reservation. The charged me 30 dollars on the fee. Non refundable( remember that for later) Showed up to broken lifts. Couldn't move the ATMS upstairs they are 900 lbs a piece. No onsite(told someone was there) Called the 1800 number and was told the only person could help was the manager onsite(wasn't there) and the will be emailed. While waiting the rained hit us after we unloaded our ATM on to a broken lift.. The ATM circuit board got washed out. its ruined Couple days later Whitney told me I would get a refund. but could only be mailed. Its been a month. No check. No refund. But I do have a 4000.00 broken machine. From wanting for help that never came, was never going to come. This place is a SCAM They also keep deleting the 1 star reviews. Not mine but all of them. Have not received an email about anything. Just told on the phone a refund was coming. ' SCAM WARING

Edited to say I received a personal phone call from Whitney who made every effort to clear things up and make things right. She was considerate, respectful and friendly. Made all the difference in the world.. (Made online res, was sent to smaller cube, and charged higher price. Folks remedied the size but not online quote... was told to have a nice day)

I came to this facility on Wednesday morning after trying my hardest to complete the eRental online and something just wasn’t working correctly on my phone, so I stopped by to see if I could get some help on which unit would work for me. The lady that was there opened the door for me and asked did I have an appointment/reservation and I told her no she politely explained due to Covid they were taking appointments but since I was there she would try her best to help me with what I needed she told me bare with her this was her 1st at the property and her 1st time working by herself she was fairly new her name was Whitney I think, but what I can say she was awesome!!!!! Very professional and really nice and did a wonderful job showing me a unit that my wife later rented on Thursday after discussing it with her. Whitney will do just fine as time goes on and y’all made a great decision hiring her. Thank you all for your business it was my pleasure.

HORRIBLE.......I RESERVED A UNIT ONLINE ,ON BE MY MOVE-IN DATE I WENT INTO THE OFFICE TO DO THE PAPERWORK, ONLY TO BE TOLD THE UNIT I RESERVED IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. THE RECEPTIONIST SAID " RESERVING A UNIT ONLINE DOESN'T GUARANTEE IT'LL BE AVAILABLE IF SOMEONE ELSE COMES IN AND WANTS THE ONE YOU RESERVE" ..............WOW 🥺 I'M STILL IN DISBELIEF ! O' I NEEDED THE UNIT TO STORE MY THINGS I COULD SALVAGE FROM HURRICANE IDA'S DAMAGES TO MY HOME !!!! # BUMMER

The employees have been nice and helpful. In April or May 2021, I went to my unit and struggled for 15 minutes to turn the lock I bought from Public Storage with my key to unlock my unit. I called the front desk to ask for the employee to help me, and a young woman came up and sprayed lubricant on the lock to loosen it for the key to turn it. She then tried to turn the lock with my key to unlock it and was unsuccessful. She replaced my lock by giving me a new one for free since the lock I bought wouldn't turn. She was nice and helpful. I have a few complaints about Public Storage. The company keeps raising the cost of rent about every 6 months. Public Storage can due this according to the fine print of the contract; however, I think this is an unfair way for the company to make more money. I rented a non-temperature controlled unit, and a few of my belongings now have mold growing on them. I pay insurance--so I guess I'll file an insurance claim for my damaged belongings and will hopefully receive compensation. Each building with storage units has two floors. There is only one elevator in each building to use for hauling belongings up to the second floor. There should be an elevator at each end of each building for convenience. If you need to use an elevator while another person is using it, you may have to wait a while to use it if that person has a lot of belongings to load onto the elevator and then unload. My unit is at the far end of the building--far away from the elevator. The walk is long. It would be nicer if a second elevator was located on my end of the building. There are cheaper storage unit companies in New Orleans. I'd rather use another storage unit company than Public Storage next time. In addition to charging a lot for the units, Public Storage keeps raising the rent. The units aren't easily accessible. I'll use a newer and cheaper storage unit company next time.

The representative Asriel is a very nice person and I give him 5 stars. However, the storage facility lacks equipments to help moving in and out. There is only one elevator and it is ridiculously steep for one person to push even if it’s lightly loaded.

Stay away from this Public Storage. I have a climate controlled unit, which is behind the keypad gate and a cypher locked door, as well as my own lock. Employees claimed the hasp was damaged on mine and about 4 other units, and they drilled off the locks and replaced with locks of their own. THEY DID NOT INFORM ME THEY DID THIS UNTIL 3 MONTHS LATER. During that time, since I was told that the unit was secure the whole time as I was working out-of-town, my unit was completely trashed; items stolen, boxes unpacked and repacked to make it look like nothing was wrong. A common thief would not be so careful. The employee(s) obviously revisited the storage room and took their time to slowly go over my belongings. So tragic that Public Storage would allow such illegal activities. My 250 sq. ft. room, which holds the belongings of a 2-bedroom house, must be totally unpacked, and repacked to assess the damage and stolen items for insurance purposes. Shame on you, Public Storage!

A bit run down and only one elevator so you have to walk down a very long hall if you are on the second floor. They also get you for a special round lock and insurance on top of the regular price and didn't mention it on the phone when asking about the price.

Wow! Who would have thought to review a storage facility? But the place is really well kept and the manager is so professional and courteous! I was impressed!!!

Went to inquire about a unit and was greeted by Ashley, she definitely gave A1 customer service. I would highly recommend this location if your looking into a storage unit. My mother had a issue with her unit/ rental payment and the district manager Daniel Regan he corrected her issues he provided above and beyond service. The customer service representative in the store was polite, and made sure the she that she was able to speak to the district manager, her service was above and beyond as well.

I went to the Public storage a couple days ago and when I was asking some questions I kept hearing a dog bark. When I asked the young lady about it another customer said it was the managers dog. I am highly allergic to dogs so I will not be returning.

The staff is nice enough, but my unit was dirty and dark.

The employee was fantastic!! Prices look nice online. When you reserve a unit they give you a total balance to be paid on the move in date. However on move in day I was informed that I must also buy insurance from them. So now I must pay almost DOUBLE every month...not happy!

This company is a big scam - at least this location in New Orleans. They engage in fraud. Here is what happened: 1) I rented a unit from them for a month; vacated the unit after that one month, paid them in full, and asked them for a receipt or something to show that I have no balance and that I vacated. It is "company policy not to print such receipts." Instead, the manager there wrote me a hand-written note that said I vacated, closed the contract and have a zero balance. I have been getting harassing calls and emails from their corporate offices, asking me to pay more, because, according to what they have in the system, I'm still occupying the place. Every time I talk to the workers at the location, however, they tell me that my account is closed but that they are incapable of printing me any paperwork showing that. I will have to take them to court and file a complaint with the Bureau of Consumer Protection. 2) When I moved in, it took 3 hours to do the paperwork. The woman there (white woman in her 40s) looked like she was on crack or some other illicit drugs. I paid my movers a good dollar, of course, for all these three idle hours, to wait for Public Storage to complete a simple contract. 3) Their units have termites, termites that literally ate part of my beautiful, expensive armoire during this one month. 4) Their advertised "$1 for the first month" cost me about $250 in all kinds of hidden fees. That does not include the monthly payments of $261 that they want from me, probably for the rest of my life, because they cannot seem to be able to close the contract. Word of advice: once they get your debit card information, you are locked in for life with these Mafia people. They are like a cancerous tumor - I simply cannot get rid of their harassing calls and emails and I simply cannot close the contract (even though the local manager tells me it is closed). Next step is involving my attorney, and taking them down for punitive action too.

We've have storage space with them for almost 4 years. They are very helpful, courteous and we haven't had any problems with our storage space. When our credit card info change they gave us a courtesy call to update our info so that our account wouldn't become delinquent.

No ventilation. I was told to purchase two one gallon damp rid containers to account for all the moisture in the air and the possibility of items getting moldy. I did this and there were still items that got moldy. Even snake skin shoes, wooden coffee table. Materials that mold doesn't easily form on. I inquired to the regional manager about a solution and got no response. This place is right by the river, there is a lot of moisture and no way for it to dissipate. It is like a sweating tomb. Also they raised the rent $20 without notification. And keep in mind insurance is required but unless you have receipts for the items it will do no good. I wouldn't recommend it depending on what you are storing or go with the climate controlled unit.

I recently moved in and had a great experience. The unit and the property looked clean and overall I was very happy with my choice. Krystle helped me out with the check in a could not have been more courteous. RTR!

Rented a unit here for one month.Closed out my account/ unit clean and no locks or trash left behind. Months later I have a collections opened for 384 bucks for public storage under Allied Int. Watch out!!!
