Awful services this Public Storage does not work with you my belongings were in there storage from 2021 of April last year of December 2022 they Auctioned off everything that I owned I'm a Single Mother of 6 children the Employees are never in the office to speak to anyone nor make a payment everything is gone my 14 year old daughter cried she had brand new shoes along with her bike and art work my fire weapon was inside the storage no one never returned any personal documents far as social ID my children copies of there Birth certificates were inside I wouldn't recommend anyone to Rent this Storage at this Location

Been with this place for 7 years. They are constantly raising my rent up and expect me to pay $260 for a 10 by 10 that isn't climate controlled and the ceiling in my unit is falling apart...they also didn't want to give me access to my unit due to a 80cent past due amount...the other property was extremely helpful

I lost my keys to the unit. I called the 1800 numerous times no one would help me. I went down there no one would pick up the live help. There "virtual assistant" won't help me. No response from the web contact from. It seems No one cares.

One of the main contributions to a successful business is the employees/staff members. I have to say that I appreciate the Customer Service/clarification that Marjorie at this location so kindly offered by answering some Questions I wasn't too knowledgeable about. Marjorie was very Friendly, accommodating, & professional. Showed empathy (which in my opinion this world is in need of). Public Storage offers many appealing factors 1 The user friendly app to open the gate and manage your billing. I love it! It's very convenient. 2. The Units are affordable based on the sizes as all storage places are pretty much the same in price. I am not to fond of the time 9-9 as I work late at times and I can not get to my storage in time. Yet, I am impressed with the Gate procedure and rules in place because I know my things have a better chance of keeping safe then a Storage Facility you can just drive into with no problems. If anyone asks I would say,"I recommend Public Storage, they seem to know what many of us is looking for

Terrible place!! The property manager is rude and callous! My belongings were rummaged through and nobody wanted to help me. They told me to file a claim with insurance and to call customer service. I got hung up on 5 times. I had 2 chat agents who closed out the chat while I was talking to them. I was overcharged and nobody wanted to help. My bank had to reverse the charges because they refused to refund me the money they overcharged. I was set up for auto pay and it kept rejecting the card so I called to let them know and I was told my belongings would be ok till Friday. I came in and used the kiosk to pay. I received a notification shortly after saying my stuff was going to auction. I had taken a picture of the confirmation showing I paid my unit. I go to my unit and my lock was cut. The property manager refused to open my unit. she then gave me major attitude for being upset that my belongings had been touched and rummaged through. She eventually did and I found all my boxes had been opened and gone through. I emailed customer service and got no help. I'd stay FAR away from here!

Had to a storage unit and stop in here and met a woman named Cloris she was great. We had a nice conversation and got a unit set up for this weekend. She was a very big help and enjoyed everything about my experience at public storage. Thank you Cloris.

I went to the facility on Babcock Street in Palm Bay and was greeted by Erin. She is an amazing employee, upon arrival there were 2 other patrons in front of me but she still found the time and took a moment to greet me and to let me know that it would be a few minutes. When it was my turn we had small talk and came to find out we have so much in common it was crazy. I would go back just because of the service I received from Erin, she exemplifies professional, courteous, friendly customer service.

I got the number off of a Google search and the Man I talked to was very thorough and found exactly what I needed in the closest distance possible. I drove right there to 4660 Babcock Street, Palm Bay, Florida 32905 and Erin was right on it. Had me out the door in no time and I was set. Kudos to the whole team effort 👍

5 stars for customer service, 3 stars for condition of the units themselves, so that makes a 4 star average. Everyone I've spoken with there, especially Marjorie, has been lovely and very helpful and accommodating. However the walls of the two units I looked at, including the one my stuff is in currently, seem to be pieced together with plywood and other materials and not really intact as whole. The door to my unit is rusty and kind of beat up, and I won't lie that I'm a little concerned about how well the roof will hold in the event of a strong hurricane. I guess that's what insurance is for!

Quite an awesome service, and great people working. Made it simple and easy for me to get my first storage unit, do recommend this place to everyone.

I moved from Indiana to Florida and kept my stuff in storage here for less than 2 months. When I went to take my stuff out of storage a lot of it was covered in feces from either a mouse or squirrel. I would assume squirrel due to the amount of acorns that was also broken all over my stuff. Not to mention live roaches and of course their feces. I expect some bugs but not to have to throw stuff away due to animal pee and poo on it. My wife wants to try to clean some of this stuff but I just want to burn it all. I filled an insuramce claim maybe their corporate office will make up for this sites lack of cleanliness.

Marjory was wonderful and went above and beyond to help us locate the right sized unit for our items. She followed up and made the process as easy as possible.

I had the most amazing experience. I needed a storage last minute and the care I received from was beyond amazing. She went above and beyond and even stayed later than closing to ensure I was registered and the storage size would be sufficient. This is on a Sunday and of all days Memorial Day! Thank you for not helping with one but 2 last minute storage units. Even through all this hectic moving, you made my experience memorable. I appreciate it.

I had some small items I needed to store. This location is the best value in the area. I made a reservation online and was contacted by Erin the next morning to confirm my reservation and to arrange a time I would arrive by. I had a delay and phoned Erin back to tell her. She was very kind and changed my time for later in the afternoon and assured me it was no problem. I arrived and interacted with Erin in the office and took care of the rental agreement as well as setting up the auto pay for my account. Erin was friendly, kind and very professional. Her demeanor made you feel very at ease. This was a very good experience and I highly recommend this Public Storage location for your storage needs. If you interact with Erin, you’ll understand why I have spoken so highly of her. She is truly excellent at her job and is so kind.

Joyce at Public Storage on the corner of Babcock Rd and Palm Bay Road in Palm Bay took a huge chunk of stress away by helping us get into the proper size storage unit to put everything in and at a great savings to us! Highly recommend this storage place because of the great customer service. TS and NS

One of the attendants Lorraine was willing to go back into the office while she was preparing to go to the bank to make a deposit, she stopped what she was doing because I needed her help to update the information on my account at the storage place and she re-opened the office door and took me inside and was so kind updated my information even though she was trying to get to the bank before it closed. It is clean and practical. The storage place is affordable and easy to access. I have only been with them about a month but I am so impressed by the quality of the office assistance and that includes Dinora. Both of these women have gone out of their way for me. I have had mini storages in the past and this one surpasses the mall. The prices also are excellent. Shall I say more?

Ms Lorraine kindly offered to inquire about a rent reduction after we received an unanticipated increase of 25% only six months after our start.. Thank you Lorraine...you're the only one who has taken our discomfiture seriously. Hats off to you...

Dinorah at 4660 Badcock Street store has the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE, she really helped me & I appreciate her. Also if I ever need a storage unit again, I would definitely use them!!

The units are gross! They are made of drywall and obviously have never been repaired. I looked at multiple units with gaping holes in the walls, exposing the neighboring unit’s contents. I ended up choosing the unit with the smallest holes even though I could still see through. There was also bugs in mine. If you are planning on keeping your stuff here long term I wouldn’t recommend it. During the 18 months that I kept my stuff here there where multiple price increases. To the point where I felt I had no choice but to move my stuff. It was nearly double from what my original quote was. If you’re late they will cut your lock forcing you to buy another when they could just easily ad another lock to your unit until you’re paid up.

I can only speak to my recent experience with the Babcock St (Palm Bay, FL) location. I have no idea if what I experienced with this location is a fair representation of what to expect at all PS facilities. I started with an online reservation 2 weeks ago. After comparing prices, I selected my check-in/move-in date and the unit size I wanted, and provided my contact information. Within minutes I had a confirmation e-mail, complete with move in date and everything. EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS they have called "to confirm" the reservation. What they were really doing was trying to use a scare tactic, telling us the units were in high demand, to get us to move in early so they could make more money of course. True to my original reservation details, we checked-in today. This is where they hit you with hidden fees. Apparently, there is a required renters insurance you have to purchase. They never tell you that on the reservation website. They didn't mention it in any of the confirmation e-mails. They never mentioned it during any of the 14 phone calls they made to us. But there it is. I've not followed up with anyone other than the management at this location, but I intend to contact PS to inquire about this required fee that no one thought important to mention anywhere along the way. Then, we tried to pay for the entire length of our storage needs up front - 4 months storage is all we need - and this manager wouldn't let us go ahead and pay. We had to set up a recurring payment schedule. Now, any respectable business would have no problem taking payment up front. That this place wants their customers on a monthly pay schedule tells me they are gunning for late fees and anything else they can squander. So, my advise to others is simple - beware!

Please beware before storing your precious items here!! All of our things were ruined! They got wet and the smell of mildew won’t come off of our furniture! Not only was it bad storage but the customer service here is horrible! Not the location but overall in the company! They also raised my rate just out of the blue because they felt like it! I will never use public storage again and I will ensure any one that I know won’t use them either! Lost my business for life!!

Nice people. I had been here for 3 years. A few hiccups nothing major. The rate increases are pretty significant. My 10x10 went from $68 to $146 in 3 years.

When I call for a rate just give the rate. I was viewing my potential unit, when we were done I closed the door and the woman handed me a lock to lock it for her. I went to give her the key back and she said no that's yours now.. confused I asked is this included in the unit? And she said no it will be an additional $20, I mentioned that I had my own lock (I've had a storage unit since 2007, it's heavy duty) she then said well we need you to purchase this lock to ensure safety so I went along with it and told her okay. As we were walking past the units to go back to the office 50% of the storage units had personal locks so I told her my lock is just like that one and she said yeah but these customers have been here forever. I thought okay well the rule only applies to new tenants.. interesting. I go to sign the papers and she then mentions that I have to buy insurance for my unit mandatory that the lowest rate would be an additional $15 a month.. my "promotional" quote to rent the storage had already doubled within 5min. I told her I came here because you were the lowest rate now you're the most expensive for a 10x10. She wasn't rude and did apologize but I passed on it. It was a complete waste of my time, Everything was poorly executed and all the terms should have been mentioned up front not this whole bait and switch technique.

Very personable, it's so nice to go into an establishment and feel like you are among friends from the start. I will definitely recommend this Public Storage location to all my friends and family. I came back into the storage facility to get information about renting a space Diane assisted me in getting all the information that I needed. Diane treated me like I was a long time customer and that I really mattered to her. I left feeling like, I would be in a good storage facility. Diane gave me several choices to think about and to talk to me son, because he is the one who will be renting and paying for the unit. Diane suggested what she felt would be the perfect choice but left it for my son when he shows up to take the tour. PLEASE DON'T LET ANYTHING HAPPEN TO DIANE AS SHE IS THE ONLY EMPLOYEE THAT KNOW TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Stay away unless you want your belongings stolen. My son rented a room here and they sold him a lock, little did we know the locks they sell you are just recycled between customers. So I just found out that someone came with a U-haul truck and cleared out the entire locker. They just let anyone come up and clear out a locker without any questions asked. How convenient they have no cameras or any security system at all. I spoke to the manager, Mr.Pettis, he’s not very helpful at all.

Went into this place expecting to get the run around like I did at another storage place. I was greeted with a friendly smile and a very professional greeting, by the property manager Diane. She inquired as to what I was going to store and what size of unit did I think, I would need. She showed me 3 different unit sizes. She suggested that I might need the 2nd one for my storage needs. I was very pleased with my experience at the facility, and with Diane. I was in the process of thinking of what size I would need when another customer came in to make a payment. Diane asked me if it would be ok to take the customers payment while I was deciding what unit to rent. She was VERY PROFESSIONAL in dealing with that customer. The customer was upset that her rent went up again. Diane handled her professionally. I rented the 2 size that Diane showed me and thanked her for being both professional and polite in dealing with a upset customer. There should be more people like Diane in customer service area of companies. Again Thank You Diane for your politeness and friendly treatment of me and that upset customer.

Came in with my brother in law to just check on the prices of what it would take to rent a space. When we went into the office we were met with a great smile, a very friendly greeting, and a professional employee. Diane asked my brother in law what he was storing, what size of a unit did he think he would need, and when would he be needing the unit. Diane took us to a unit showed us the size, and gave us the price. She proceeded to inform us that the price today might change tomorrow. My brother in law rented a unit, and Diane went over the contract in great detail. She also explained the gate hours and stressed them. I was impressed with Diane through the whole time we dealt with her. She made us feel like we were at home.

Very helpful and courteous. Will use this facility again. Mary was quick and efficient with the paperwork and checked up on us as we were unloading the truck.

I came in to the property with my sister to find out about renting a space. We met with Diane who was friendly and professional. We checked out a space, and was given the information on what it would take to rent it. We did not rent the space on that day because my sister was not ready to move her items. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

The facility is nice, however your bated with a first month price which isnt really prorated as they say. Also, if you only need 2 or 3 days in the beginning of the month to move they charge you the whole month even though they are going to turn around and rent it out once you turn in your keys.

Mary was great, helping me get set up. The price was the best I've seen. Used them many years ago and always satisfied.

the only reason I give them a 4 and not a 5 is not because of Mary, its because of the way they nickel and dime you to death requiring insurance on unit and that you buy a lock from them, then try to sell you plastic mattress covers and damp rid and you actually feel like taking a shower when your done, problem is... this is never explained to you when talking to corporate and is not on the literature, the agent Mary was very nice and professional, the lady ahead of me got extremely mad about all of the charges, first month is called a loss leader,its to get you into the door, facility was clean and the gate was broke at the time I was there and I was told they were waiting on parts, time will tell, all in all the facility and the leasing agent were a pleasure but the policy of hard sell was not. Just do an honest, compassionate and professional business not a sales opportunity.

The utilities are about what you'd expect, but the staff there have been phenomenal. Both of the ladies that I've worked with there were super professional, kind, and very helpful. I would definitely come here again if we ever need another storage unit.

Diane made our whole experience there absolutely wonderful. She was SO informative and helpful. My fiancé and I are new to the area and she made us feel so welcome. She walked us to our unit, showed us the size and made sure that it was to our needs and she answered all of the questions we had as to what would and wouldn't fit inside of it. She also made sure we had everything we need to move our things into the unit, such as boxes, mattress and couch covers etc. We left in a great mood and we feel extremely confident we picked the right place to store our belongings. Need more space gotta get to public storage

I just rented a unit today online. I was call right away this morning by Diane on my reservation. I went by later and Diane took me to view a unit and was very professional and friendly. She answered all my question and took care of me in a very timely manner. She is very knowledgeable in her job and made me feel right at home. Excellent job.

Public Storage in general are CROOKS!! I wish I could give them negative stars, b/c they are that bad!!! They lie, steal, and cheat... I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy!! You'd be hard pressed to find a single decent review however you will find many, many, many terrible reviews. Some Managers to look out for are Orlando... Alison Black... Horrible!! Andrew... Again Horrible... and last but certainly not least John S. down in West Palm, Ft Lauderdale I think he's a regional MGR... Please save yourself and your friends and don't go with the rip off Public Storage PERIOD!! It's all a lie and scam from day one of your first month free!! Lol... NOT!!!

Went into Public storage on Friday the 8th of April. Was asking about information on a unit for some friends. Wendy was very nice and informative. She answered all my questions and she makes you feel happy with her attitude. Would definitely recommend this place to my friends.

my Grandson attends college down the street from this storage company. this is the third time storing and he has always had a giod experience. he has one more year to go and um sure we'll be back. thank you to the kind lady in the office.

Went to public storage with familt to rent space. The prperty is older but really well maintained. Clean. I was also impressed with the girl in the office. She was knowledgeable and friendly. Ive been to other storage places but never given the service as this place did.

Right after I secured a unit, I got a phone call from Mary. Before I was able to sign my new contract I called Mary, and told her I would have a hard time getting there before they closed, Mary said no problem , she said she would wait for me,good news I as able to get there on time. However when I got there my dining room table didn't fit in the unit and Mary got me some tools to take the legs off and fit it in my unit. She also helped me move it into my unit. WOW!!!! TALK ABOUT GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND the call of duty .Then I tried to give her a tip but she wouldn't accept it. Public storage should be proud and pleased to have an employee like Mary. Dan

Well maintained property, reasonable prices, I've had no problems

It a very good place to store it, they have a great costumers service.

We rented a 5x5 unit for a few months with them until someone they admitted to the property destroyed our lock. We can no longer access our belongings. When we told the property manager and asked they remedy the situation she said since we didn't spend $13 on their lock (you can get the same one from the $1 store) and used our own we had to pay for a locksmith the cut the destroyed lock off and pay for a repreplacement ourselves. They told us it wasn't their job to secure our property and made a pathetic excuse that they don't have security cameras, so not their fault. We purchased the mandatory insurance when we signed up for the unit, but was told there is a $100 deductible before it covers anything. So, we were told even though our property was damaged due to their negligence, they won't do anything. We were told it is climate controlled, it is NOT. They say $1 moves you in, WRONG. After their paperwork fee it costs $30. TERRIBLE PLACE WHERE YOUR STUFF WILL GET STOLEN OR DAMAGED AND THEY WILL SAY IT IS NOT THEIR FAULT AND MAKE YOU PAY!! Don't store your precious belongings here. Go to Malabar Rd by US1 and get a larger unit for $10 cheaper or to Acorn Storage on Port Malabar and get an AC unit for cheaper.

I've been with this facility for almost 5 years. I've never had any problems till now. The wall between my unit and the one next to me is breaking. Aparently the people next to me pushed their stuff a bit too hard. I've manage to plug up the hole with some of the broken pieces and duct tape. It'll do for now, but I'm not entirely happy. I had a storage unit while living in Philladelphia and had no problems in the 24 years at that facility. Mary has been extremely helpful in explaining this. She's very friendly and outgoing.

This is a property that looks old. It's very well kept and clean the people in office are sweet. Its my daughters unit and I've had to go into office a couple times. My only complaint is that they are constantly begging for reviews. Not to say they haven't earned this review though..

Had absolutely no trouble at all moving in, absolutely no trouble at all moving out. Would recommend for any/all storage needs. Especially Diane, one of the nicest employees I've met who works with people.

We were completely lied to by the girl at the desk, she had told us that the insurance was a new law that we had to have! We were quoted a price online for 23 dollars to move in the unit. By the time it was time to pay they told me $57!!! I asked why so high, she said that the lock that they require you to use was extra. I refused to pay and she offered to take the insurance off, so I was flat out lied to about the insurance. What a bunch of bullshit! Next time don't lie to your customers and maybe you won't have empty units!!!

This Public Storage is very clean and the managers are very nice and the layout of the units make it easy to get in and out.

Called public storage first and spoke to lady in call center who did NOT advise of any extra charges for required insurances, however upon reaching facility spoke to a very pleasant and knowledgeable employee named Diane, who was more then willing to go over and explain all charges for and units available, she showed us units n pricing and was very apologetic that we had been misquoted pricing for first month and prorated 2nd month. If it had not been such a pleasant experience with Diane we may have taken our business elsewhere. We understood she was put into an inconvenient situation beyond her control as far as pricing and what was quoted to us by a call center. Thank you Diane for your patience with us, and explaining all terms to us and for staying after hours to take care of our needs. Diane is the reason for the 5 star rating

I could not have asked for a better experience. I relocated from New Jersey to Florida. I reserved my unit online. The move was very stressful. Upon arrival to Public Storage and being greeted by Diane to check in was a very pleasurable experiences. After looking at the unit, I was concerned I may have rented blindly and that the unit may not accommodate my needs. Diane assured me that my needs would be met. Thankfully, the unit was more than sufficient for my needs. In my opinion Diane went above and beyond to ensure I was doing okay throughout the unloading process, encouraging to take breaks and keep hydrated. Diane is simply AMAZING!!! I did a lot of research for storage units in the Palm Bay area prior to my move and I am so happy with my decision to go with Public Storage!!!! Diane made my moving experience so much better and less stressful. I returned the next day, and was greeted by Diane and Kaira. Its a wonderful feeling to have met both of these amazing ladies willing to go above and beyond and making my move/transition a pleasurable one!!! Choosing Public Storage was the right choice!!! When I entered my unit I discovered a piece of the ceiling had collapsed. I contacted Diane who was on duty at that time. She was very nice and helped the best she could. She showed great customer service and tried hard to satisfy a customer who was not happy. She even told me she could get me a different unit but they have no one to assist in moving the items. I feel Diane went above and beyond her job but at the same time I am not happy with the senior management. There is not a maintenance person assigned to assist with problems and I am not happy that the secured gate has been broken for over a month, allowing anyone to drive in. When I rented the unit the customer service people were very nice and helpful and I had a good feeling about the security of the unit. After having the gate open for so long I now have doubts about the security they once offered or cared about.

Vicki and Holly exceeded my expectations! Friendly, knowledgeable, and a flat out pleasure to work with. If you need a public storage unit I highly recommend this location. Best staff at any public storage ive been to.

I researched online for the price and if the $1 first months rent was available for the unit I wanted. When I got to the site I found that it was available and that the unit size I wanted was also available at my local location. The website stated that the move in cost would be $23 and my unit would be approximately $25 a month, so I rented online. The next morning I received a call from Diane welcoming me to Public Storage. We set up a date for me to come in to see the unit and sign the paperwork. I went in and was met by Mary who showed me the unit and started my paperwork, this is where it all went wrong. I was told that they required me to have insurance on my things that I was storing (which Mary said they did not tell me about on the website) and was handed a contract to sign purchasing insurance from a company they used with the least expensive insurance being $11 per month. Then I was told that my storage unit was $29 instead of about $25, which on its own is not a problem. I was then informed that since it was the 20th of the month the rent would be prorated and that I owed $35 that day instead of the $23 I expected, and I would owe another $15 on the 1st of the month to cover the last week and a half of that month. So the smallest storage unit that was supposed to be $23 ($1 plus a $22 administration fee) for the first month and $25 a month thereafter was going to cost me $35 for the first month and $30.74 + $11 in insurance every month for a total of $41.74 each month. If I wanted to spend an extra $40 on a storage unit I could have gone somewhere else that I have used before. I wanted the public storage because it was much cheaper and I was not planning on using it for very long. I feel like I was completely blindsided by misinformation and when I asked about the totals and the breakdown on my receipt Mary had no idea what any of it meant so I was left completely confused with no one that could explain it to me. I will not use Public storage again and will go out of my way to have my things out of this unit before the end of October so hopefully I can get some of my money back.
