I rented a storage unit here, I am on a fixed income and the storage unit kept increasing. I called to see if they could please help with rental increase. I was denied. I was ready to vacate Public Storage at that time. I went up to the Public Storage to talk to them about not wanting to help me and that is when I met employee Grace. Let me tell you about how Grace went above and beyond to not only help me but other customers that I watched as I was in the rental office. She assisted and gave great customer service to each and every customer. Grace is the kind of employee that most companies would love to have to represent them as she genuinely cares about each and every customer. Grace you are the reason I am staying with Public Storage. Thank you to Grace who helped me move some heavy pieces that I couldn’t move by myself. She was so helpful. Not only did she help with that, she also took the initiative to look at my rate because I expressed my rate had gone up over $70 a month. She was able to get my rate down to a more comparable rate. I know the rate increase is not due to the location specifically so I am still giving 5 stars due to this location being clean, and the manager Grace being very helpful.

Issues w auto pay and then when called by the office hours after I already spoke w someone there asking for payment again. I advised I would be in the office next day and the manager reassured me they would have someone there to process my payment well yet again as many times before office door locked and nobody to help. Awful service I wish I could do negative stars!! I am a very kind and understanding person but these are my belongings and thing I cannot replace I don't need these mix ups w payment and then nobody to talk to just to have my things tossed or auctioned off. Not happy at all!

This public storage was absolutely amazing! They were very helpful, especially with my lack of knowledge with certain things. I called with a two days notice of meeting a storage unit and this place was very quick to helping me get a storage unit to my needs. The front desk employees were nothing but very helpful and kind and quick with helping! I have Only been to a few storage units in my life time, this place was very clean to what I thought if anyone is looking for a storage unit I highly suggest this place!

Charles was super helpful on the move in day. Clean and organized place overall.

I was having an issue with my storage account. I called into the office and left a message. I received a call back within 5 minutes of leaving my message. Charles was the representative that called me back and had addressed all my concerns in a quick and timely manner. I would definitely recommend using the storage facility. Why is there never any body in the office at the 63rd and Bell store??? I have been there 5 times to the months and the office says it's open but isn't.!!!.

Do not use this storage facility there crooks and they have no employees working in there office and when u do get ahold of someone it's useless they won't do a thing to help any situation you have with your rented space they will lie to you ignore you and won't even get ahold of there superiors for you and trying to get ahold of some one on the phone is even more of a joke they must hire people right out of kindergarten I will never use this company again I would definitely recommend any where else to rent a storage. These people after I paid them. $ 621.29 to get my stuff out of there storage so they didn't auction it because I could never get ahold of anyone in there office that's suppose to be open 8 to 5 daily when I paid this money the manager told me there would be no more charges on this account and that I had til the first to get my stuff out they now sent me a bill for $231 dollers due forr rent I tell you they are crooks

This property is always super clean whenever I go! I’ve only ever seen Sebastian working at the front and any time I’ve needed something or had questions he’s been super helpful, knowledgable, and quick to give me the information that I need or who I can contact to help me with whatever I had questions about! Personally my space has always been well maintained and if there’s been any issues maintenance has gotten on it super fast too!

I have used Public Storage many times thru the years at various locations in Phoenix and surrounding areas. I have recomended Public Storage to family and friends as a safe & secure place for all of their storage needs. 24 hr. Surveillance cameras capture who is coming and going inside and ouside of the gated facility. You can rest well knowing your personal belongings are at a gated Public Storage facility

Worst place to store anything. I've been a customer for over 3 yrs. Every 6 months they jack up the rates, don't send an e mail or call to let me know. Now with the housing boom and shortage,they feel it's ok to just jack up rates for no reason. I cannot wait to find another place to store everything in a 12x30 storage

Facility is clean and our space is climate controlled. Linda was great with helping us to set up our rental via long distance.

Linda is Awesome! I arrived the other day and had the wrong gate code. The sign said she would be back at 1:15 PM. I was going to leave, however, I decided to stay. Amazingly, she was back at 1:15 PM. I never believed those signs and I at least do with Linda :-) Moreover, she as super helpful!!!

We won a storage unit offline from this location. We have been to several storage places and this by far was the best. Linda was absolutely a nice lady & very easy to talk to. The area was clean, love the sun sheds they offer between the buildings, it kept the sun off us while loading up. Not sure of the prices but call Linda directly skip the call center!

LINDA is the only reason I am giving this place 5 stars. LINDA is an amazing employee and if it was not for her I would have taken my client somewhere else due to the old school used car sales tactic used by the call center. I called and arranged this storage unit rental for a client and was quoted a $27 move-in charge for the first month (which I sold my client on). When the client and I got to the place there were other required funds she had to pay which brought her total up to $65 (or right around there). This was NO fault of LINDA'S.

Linda at the front desk helped me with the process of starting a rental and all I can say it wow! Amazing customer service; friendly, helpful and went above and beyond. At first I had issues signing up online and Linda took the time to call around for help and eventually we figured it out together! Will start by saying I was late on my payment and they locked my storage. I paid it this morning and went to drop of a few boxes. The lock was still on. I went to the office and was helped by Linda. She was very nice and so helpful. She unlocked it for me and I was on my way. Honestly wish more Customer Service Reps these days were as nice as Linda was. Unfortunately, I need to update update my previous review. After only being here for a couple months they increased our monthly rent by over 50% what we were already paying. I tried calling the company as well as the location and said there was nothing they can do. We have 2 units at this location and both have undergone SIGNIFICANT rental rate increases after just a couple months. I even asked for a more reasonable rental increase rather than over 50% of what I was currently paying and no. Very disappointed with this company and will not be referring them to others.

Great service but I was only given a mandatory purchase of a lock because the way the doors are made.

I arrived at this location yesterday and everything was as indicated from my online sign-up. The check-in text included all of the information needed to started using the unit. However I had my own lock, so I needed to return the supplied lock, which was located in my unit upon arrival. I went to the office to return the lock and get a refund. Linda was in the office this day and was every helpful and completed the refund with a smile. She also ask if there were any issues or if there was any questions. Great job Linda.

I have had a unit here for just about 1 year. The gates always work, I never see any funny business around the property. The property is always clean, as well as I have seen extra cleaning being done during the pandemic. I had not been in their office in many, many-months, however I had a question about getting an additional unit so I stopped in. I had not introduced myself yet, when Linda remembered me personally. Thank you Linda for being so kind and showing me the units I was interested in, REALLY great customers service!

This place is a ripoff. Make you pay for insurance and then when my storage was broken into the insurance company won't pay what your stuff is worth. I thought my things were secure and have never had issues with storage places before. Will never use them again after I get my stuff out of here.

They will tell you one thing when you reserve online, another in person and then completely different from corporate. They will take your money and when you are ready to cancel they don't disclose the proper information and charge you for services you never received! I am so impressed with the customer service I received from Public Storage in Glendale Arizona. We are in the process of moving my family over from California and we needed to change our moving date and size of storage days before we were moving. I called the public storage on Bell and spoke to Linda...she was so kind and helpful and told me that wouldn’t be a problem...I was so relieved. My husband arrived at the storage location and he said Linda was great and they had no problems getting a different size. This has made our move so much smoother. I highly recommend this storage if you’re moving to the area.

I've had a unit here for about 7 months. The staff are all friendly and helpful and willing to answer any questions I have had. Today I met Linda as she was doing a walk through of the facility to check locks and make sure only authorized people were on the premises. It was reassuring to see this extra care and service taking place.

Linda was the customer service representative that had helped me today and she was great!! I was late on my payment and I am NEVER late on a payment... Since I couldn't afford the $24.98 late fee that they were charging me, Linda went ahead and helped me big time by waiving them all together. How nice andoand helpful of her!!! I just want to start this off with Linda was awesome!! I received an email from corporate saying there were going to raise the rent on my storage unit over 30% after only 6 months. I went in to the office this past Sunday to inquire as to why. She looked into it and said corporate will time to time raise rents but she said she would put in an appeal on my behalf and see what happens from there. By the end of business on Sunday my appeal was granted with no rent increase for 3 more months. THANK YOU LINDA!! As for corporate, shame on you. Raising rents after only 6 months, or anything less than 12 months is a sure fire way to lose a customer for life.

Peter was a fantastic help and is the reason I'm writing this review. His kindness and overall help was nice to experience, and if I were to recommend anyone to Public Storage, his customer service would be the main reason why. However, I was disappointed my storage unit couldn't be prorated. I had automatic payments set up for my unit to come out on the 2nd of each month. Having moved everything out of the unit, and leaving the unit vacant on June 5th to move across the country, it's a shame to have to pay for the entire month, when I only had 5 days use out of the unit. If the beginning of my lease can be prorated, I don't understand why the end can not. Peter tried his best to help me out, but ultimately his supervisor said no to any help with prorating the bill, with no explanation as to why. He more or less seemed as though it was a bother to have to answer questions from a customer. Peter's caring and understanding attitude is something all customer service industries should strive to achieve, and something his supervisor could probably learn a lesson from. Thanks again Peter!!!

Came by last minute and was able to get a storage room set up! Online I accidentally set myself up for a second floor one, and Peter made it easy to switch to a ground floor level unit! Had a great experience!

Easy and fast move-in and checkout process. Friendly staff. Only downside is that you have to buy their lock and storage insurance, but the insurance can be waived if you carry your own. Reserving online is also slightly cheaper for monthly rent than in person!

the level of nickle and diming of this place is terrible, little to no customer service and it is expensive and standards have dropped over the years. Big time bait and switch on the offers, teh online system is fawed dn they just charge what ever they want, there are so many better options

I was worried about storing here as when it comes to 63rd and bell I've been lied to by so many biz in the area no celebrities at celebrity tan no eagles at eagle Crest apartments and I could help but noticed a light out on the sign for the store but all that was turned around by Stella's stellar service

They all say the same thing "had a great experience blah blah blah" and all with one or two reviews under those fake accounts, reality is, this place has fees added on to their fees and the person at the front doesn't really care if you rent since they get an hourly pay, U-Haul across the street has better rates and no extra fees

I had a very unfortunate series of events and it was very stressful but Stella and Sterling were so kind and so incredible helpful and made a horrible life experience a little easier by being so nice and so very understanding!

Stela was absolutely amazing and extremely helpful. I was waiting for a lock smith to drill out the lock so I could empty the unit. The district manager came in with other associates. He was told of my situation and immediately offered to do it himself. He drilled it out right away. He and his associates we all very kind. I will definitely recommend Public Storage to everyone. The staff, Stella and Troy, were extremely helpful with my situation as I had made a few errors while making my reservation online days before. With a few clicks of the keyboard and some friendly conversation, Stella was able to find me a better deal at a location less than 2 miles from my home. I am very pleased with the service I received and will definitely recommend potential customers to Public Storage.

I took them up on the $1 special, but be warned, you must use their locks at around $25 ea. and I rented the unit @ $35 a month, last month (july) they raised my rent to over $50 a month, make sure you read the fine print, they didn't tell me at the time I rented it was going to be jacked up that much. I moved out.

Had a great experience in there today with a customer a service rep (sorry forgot his name starts with an S I think). One of the friendliest people I've encountered in a while. I liked reading the comments from a while back talking about a 'kid' forcing someone to sign. Pretty impressive since he didn't seem to have a gun. Take the time to read the contract. There are some nuances. Not a big deal really great rate and great people.

***To all the 5-star reviewers...REALLY?*** ***IMPORTANT FACTS. Yeah, I know, You see the one star, you assume I'm going to immediately whine about the price in a few grammatically questionable sentences devoid of punctuation. I'm going to supply some information I wish I'd gotten before renting my unit. There's a helpful hint included at the end of this review if you can persevere. ***The outside units are subject to duststorm chaos. I should have been warned about this when I moved my stuff in. I wasn't warned, so I didn't adequately prepare. The upshot is that after four months, my stored belongings were blanketed in an inch of orange, sticky desert dirt. The winds were intense enough that my stuff looked like it had shifted during flight. Things were broken. Cleaning the stuff was a massive, costly undertaking. The dirt permeated untaped box edges, and as it turns out, an inch of caked dirt can really do a job on a vacuum. To address the next question...no, unfortunately the compulsory insurance I kept on the unit did not cover claims for damage done by crosswinds. ***Pricing is ... misleading. Think bait-and-switch. Believe NO quotes you get over the phone. ***Rent goes up often. I began renting my 10 x 7 unit for $67/mo. Five years later my rent was up to $178/month. That's like renting an apartment now for $1,600 and watching the rent ramp up to $4,250 in six years. Ridiculous! But if you call Corporate and ask for a break, they'll tell you the rent is competitive and "what the market will bear," and within a month or two your rent will go up again. I am no longer a customer at this Public Storage. I had the unit emptied and liquidated by a nearby auction house. The final straw was when I was at the unit and the manager showed potential customers an empty unit next to mine. She said the rent was $98, and I just about blew my top since I'd gotten word that my rent was going up again to $178. I made an inquiry, and the manager mistakenly informed me that the unit next to mine on the other side was $30 less than mine per month. The manager offered to ask for a rent reduction on my behalf, and I accepted, but I was out of the unit on January 3rd. Of course Public Storage WILL NOT PRORATE rent, so they have already invoiced me for an additional month of rent. I was at the facility on the night of the second and saw (and photographed) three empty units, so I'm going to try and fight the bill though I imagine it's just going to be another item on my credit report. ***HELPFUL HINT FOR STORAGE UNIT RENTERS I was unaware of this little nugget previously and I thought it might be helpful to share. If you are renting a unit, you fall behind on payments, a lien is placed on your belongings, and the facility auctions off the contents, any money from the sale of your belongings above and beyond what you owe the facility is YOURS. Most people don't know to ask for that money back. ***IN SUM All in all, if I could assess a negative number of stars for my experience with Public Storage, I would. I ended up paying more than $11,000 to keep belongings I ended up selling for a fraction of their value. I was treated poorly, spoken to like I was an idiot, ignored, and dealt with as the financially vulnerable always are-- without any compassion. Need to store your stuff? You're better off paying a friend to rent his basement. Or paying a stranger to rent his closet. Storage is a shady, bottom-feeding industry. This West Bell Road Public Storage facility could be its poster child.

Fee after fee after fee. Dont let the $1 for your first month fool you! I'm happy to have a safe place for storage but happier its temporary and I'll br out hopefully before rates increase!

Worst experience ever, they have hidden fee's and taxes, they tax your Late fee, if they Cut out your Lock they don't notify you nor do they tell you that once you Pay in full you have to buy a new Lock, they Cancel your Storage insurance, you don't ever See the month free when you reserve on Line. I wouldn't refer public storage to my worst enemies. I don't even feel that their worth one star I had to give in order to give this review. Renters be wear oh and they will increase the rent every 5 to 6 months

Great storage experience! Came in got the keys and then paid my bill on line each month. Very easy, yes I wound rent from them again.

Want to charge me full month's rent when moving out on the 1st of the month. Called 2 weeks to inquire about any extra charges if I move out on the 1st & was told that I won't be charged if I move out on the 1st. Person on duty was rude & very unhelpful. Property was not secure first month as the secondary gate was open all the time. Property not kept up & had trash after dust storms. Elevators rarely function & others have complained, no immediate solutions. Stay away from corporate & look for local mom & pop establishments. Update 12/12/18: I found cockroaches in my boxes & lots of dust, their premisses are not secure/kosher to keep bugs & elements out of my belongings.

Employees who care and management that is competent , capable to act. Please keep improving. I quit using Public Storage for 5 years back in 2002 for not having the above.

Dear public stoRAGE When are your going to give the 38.00 and change for the so called free month of the storage space I NEVER used.?!?!.. Buyer BEWARE! ...23 year old customer service (kid) acted as though he was ignorant.. Over charging me for a full month and claiming he didn't know why..Taking advantage of the fact I was in a very stressed situation..constantly distracting me from the contract...skipping scrolling SO fast ..I never even got a chance to read it..Discussing his personal problems with his girlfriend to me.. By the time I and my husband decided this wasn't the place for us, we couldn't.. while I understand after reading the policies about 2 days later (emailed no physical copy) which I could not read unless I agreed with their terms.. I believe I was mislead . He knew exactly what he was doing...We left never using the unit, my husband was pretty heated.. When they tried to charge us for another month, knowing we never used it, because they watched us leave..We called corporate.. Who thankfully cancelled the bill and ended our contract.. But I want my money refunded!! YOU HAVE NO idea what kind of stress I was really under that day ( none of your business). I'd fire you for sure..Based on this I recommend you use UHAUL. They give you an excellent deal if you are using their trucks...Not to mention their professionalism..

What a trooper, she's very knowledgeable, courteous, helpful to Veterans and the most important thing...she had the bathroom key! (she saw me doing the "pee pee dance"). Explained and broke down availability, size, price, location, agreement, time. My gosh what a dynamo...I'm sold! In fact, she was so good we got another unit! Yup, she's a keeper! ******************** This public storage is very organized and clean. Friendly service from Shannon, very informative. Office is well organized than most PS' in Los Angeles where we moved from. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Holiday/Christmas decor, warm and inviting. Advice: Decorate all major holidays and I'm a keeper for life...just sayin'. LOL

I had storage here for 2 yrs and every 5 months they were raising my storage rent! Not to mention they cut my lock on my storage when I was late on my rent telling me it was going up for auction when it wasn't even a month behind and there so called auction wasn't happening for another 6wks so I had to purchase another one of there 30$ locks to lock my shed , because they cut the lock to soon! I could go on , about how horrible there corporate customer service is but simply put I wouldn't rent from them again. I gave one star cuz I had to give one in order to leave a review.

The facility is nicely kept and the pricing is competitive. You have to buy a lock for your unit and they are about $20 and will only be good for using at public storage. You make a reservation online but it doesn't guarantee you will get a unit. It only saves your price/promotion for that unit. The storage unit will then call you and if there is still a unit available, you will be set to go. The price of the monthly rate will fluctuate with different seasons (you might be paying more in summer) even when you agreed to a certain amount. This will be your experience if all goes smooth.... However, for us, everything went wrong. We might be just the exception though. We reserved...and as we were told by the office, it was deleted by "the system". Okay so we reserved again...and showed up to our reservation time at 9:40 am Monday morning after confirming our appointment for 9:30-10:00 am the night before. The store opens at 9:30 am. We waited until 10:10 am in the baking sun with no one in sight and then went home. We came back an hour later and someone had showed up. We really wanted to use public storage for our storage needs and so we tried to work out something but wanted to talk to the regional manager to square away our concerns (as we already had a few). We called him over 7 times and left at least 3 messages over a span of 1.5 weeks. We waited for him for an 1.5 at the store where he said he would be coming. We left our number with the front desk with a message to please call and assurance from the front desk that the message would be delivered. NOTHING!!! The regional manager has "no control" over the storage unit reservations as he told the front desk. He told them that we had to go higher up. We would love to but they wouldn't give us a number. We had enough with our service with Public Storage and decided to go across the street to Uhaul. Within minutes we had the useful locks, directions to our unit, and a climate controlled, clean, and easy-to-use facility. My advice is to stay away from this Public Storage unit. Again, we could be the exception to having received poor service.

I was charged 1,000.00 for one month since the firts mo. for is one dollar and 195.00 for every month thereafter. What happened is they misapplied my girlfriends payments of her unit and applied rhem to mine. I was only there two months do the math.

Place is priced really high for what you get (my 2nd storage experience in 2 years). Limited hours, lots of hidden fees. If it wasn’t for Al’s friendly service at the front, would have gotten a unit across the street at U-haul.

We had an emergency situation with our HOA and our camper and called these guys up in a bind. They were very helpful and made sure to have someone at the office available for us when we came. We had some issues towards the end with billing but it was mainly due to misunderstandings, (from me). Anyhow, the issue was promptly resolved with ease and speed. The storage facility is clean, well maintained, well lit, overall I'm satisfied with our time here.

Don't rent from Public Storage unless you like being treated like a criminal low life...we pay these jerks almost $300×month. Only allowed access our unit during "normal" business hours, FUN when you're moving in August! But the last straw was last month. We needed tax files, it was freezing & windy that morning and we pulled the "door" down half way. About 5 mins later, one of the management sticks her head in to tell us that we aren't allowed to "hang out" in unit & must have "door" completely open if in unit!!!! This company needs to implement serious customer service training, etc. They must suck to work for as well, seems to be a new employee every other month. At great cost & time to our family, we will be relocating our things in 4 weeks. THANKS, PUBIC STORAGE!

Nice and Fast

Our experience at this Public Storage facility was excellent. It was one third the price of nearby Life Storage. The grounds were always clean and the means of entering and leaving always functioned well. The two gentlemen staff were very accommodating. We have used storage facilities many times in various states, and this was the nicest. There are inside lights at the units which made evening work (when weather is much cooler) of sorting, finding boxes possible. Will definitely utilize them again if we need storage.
