DANA IN THE MIDFIELD LOCATION WAS VERY VERY HELPFUL

A Horrible Situation Turned Positive Experience TLDR: I had the wrong key. I was allowed to bring in a locksmith with the help of Miss Khandi and get into my unit ❤ Story time: I was in a really bad car accident in December of last year. I am the only person in my family located in Alabama. While sitting in a coma at UAB my dad and stepmom, after driving all the way from Texas to be with me, tried to stay busy by packing up my belongings. It was looking like I wasn't going to make it, or at the very least would not be living where I was for a while. My stepmom found Public Storage, probably because it was cheap, which I definitely appreciate. My entire life was bagged or boxed and left in a 10×10 while they awaited my fate. My name wasn't added to the account because well, frankly, everyone was told to start saying their goodbyes. I did eventually wake up and move back to Georgia with my mom, sans stuff. I wasn't able to come try to retrieve anything until last week. When I got there, the key I was told went to the lock slid in...but wouldn't turn. Wrong key. I went to the office and spoke with Khandi. I asked if I could bring a locksmith in. She said normally her DM was the only one who cut locks, and only at certain times for auctions. I explained my situation, all I went through. Before I could get the words out she told me how glad she was that I made it through ❤ She talked to her district manager and was able to authorize a locksmith to come in (s/o to North American Lock and Key) by talking to my dad. I was able to purchase another lock and key and let her keep a duplicate, which they only normally do for customers awaiting deliveries. It was a huge relief to get in my unit, after driving 3 hours from Atlanta. Khandi is a blessing and bless her heart for working in a creepy storage facility all by herself. Much love to you my Heart Sister ❤❤❤❤ Edit: I just wanted to add details from my visit 8/27/20. Another fabulous experience this time with the wonderful Amanda. She showed ultimate compassion and went above and beyond to help me and my puppy when we needed it. I can't speak highly enough of this place. Absolutely the best storage experience I've ever had. I will be sad when it's finally time to remove all my things, but I TELL EVERYONE what a great staff they have here. That combined with a great price more than makes up for the modest units.

This was a painless and easy experience! Sonja was AMAZING! She quickly contacted me after i looked online and asked to come in. When I arrived i was greeted warmly. I got to come see where i would keep my belongings. She got my contract and paperwork drawn up reviewed the policy with me. and gave me a few tips. They had pretty much everything id need right there in the store. Tape, Boxes, damp ride. and you can return anything you didn't use for 100% back. Sonja was seriously the best. After a last min need to store my things she helped brighten my day and made my experience painless. My only negative thoughts were the unit i got was a little dirty from the previous user. and the boxes where a little expensive. Id highly recommend Public Storage to anyone in need. i got a great deal on it.

My husband and I needed to store a few household items to declutter our house. When I arrived to Public Storage there was a customer ahead of me and seemed preoccupied with other business instead of renting a storage space. He was so focused on his phone and was not listening. In the meantime, the young lady assisting him was so kind, knowledgeable and professional. A few minutes later it was my turn to be waited on. I was introduced to Simore. (I sincerely hope I have her name spelled correctly). She shared the same kindest, knowledge and professionalism to me. Simore took me on a tour of the facility, explained the size and cost of the units. After I made my decision, she made sure I understood, when payments are due, opening and closing times, insurance, and made sure I had copies of all signed documents. What impressed me the most was that I arrived during her lunch hour. I know this because I noticed the clock on the door after I left the office. Simore is awesome and a jewel. Thank you Simore for taking care of me.

I've had this storage unit for approximately 2 years, and the monthly rate has increased about 4 times. If you are late for a few weeks, you are threatened with losing your unit to an auction. I'm looking forward to the day when I will no longer need them.
