No one is ever on the office to help you. I moved out of my storage unit 3 weeks before my next was due and they still charged me the following month. My account is now in collections and I don’t owe anything.

They have good deals and also the customer representative Undre was very helpful, knowledge, professional, courteous and kind!

The service provided here went above and beyond all of my expectations. I never write reviews but the service here, especially by Queen, made me need to talk about my experience. I had a lot of questions about the storage units and Queen was so educated and kind as she answered all of them. I was running late for something and forgot to put a lock on my unit and Queen noticed and put it on my unit for me. I have had nothing but the best experience here and that is all thanks to Queen. For any college students I couldn't recommend this place more!!!!

I've rented a 5x10 storage unit at public storage for almost a year-and-a-half. I have not had any issues while having my items stored there. Easy access and very secure. I always felt safe! I finally cleaned my unit out on last week and so no more storage fees. 😁😁 What I didn't realize was that keeping items in a non-temperature controlled storage facility would over time cause moisture which cause mold which will ruin some of your items.😥 Oh well, you live, you learn. 😋 If you need somewhere to store your items either long term or temporary, I would definitely recommend Public Storage. 👍 Oh! Be sure to check Public Storage website. Sometimes they have move-in specials!😉

My name is D. Davis, The circumstances behind me having to get storage space has and is an horrid ordeal. I needed storage space and wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to get it by having to do an application online. I didn’t have access to do an application online for the needed storage space. I needed to be able to physically acquire storage space via office visit. Ms Juanita called to actually introduced herself. Her demeanor was professional and courteous via phone contact and office visit. I was able to get the storage space I needed without any difficulties because she explained online is an option and not a necessity. I obtained my my storage space. Also I will most definitely refer anyone that needs a storage space to Public Storage on Lorna Road where Ms Juanita is the office manager. Ms. Juanita is an asset to your company. Can you go in your storage past 6pm

I recently vacated my space on August 2, 2020. The previous day on the 1st I spoke to the manager on-site. She was very nice and very customer service friendly. I spoke about vacating my space so I wouldn’t be charged for another month. It didn’t seem like a problem, she mentioned coming to get her when I was finished, and I even made mention that I may not be done that day. I was told no problem. I came to the office on the 2nd at 10:00 am, let her know I was out, it swept clean and empty. I then at that time asked if the auto-debit would still go through on my account as has been done religiously for 2 years, she said yes but that the pro-rates refund amount would be returned in approximately 5-7 days. Today is a week and a half later, I tried to contact the site, spoke with an extremely rude customer service rep (NOT the on-site staff for clarification), and after with the District Manager Jordan. I was informed that I would not be receiving any money back as the rent is month to month and nothing would be done-however when I moved in I was pro-rated for days then? That it was policy....I fully understand that, I deal with policy every day-I am also have a responsibility to act fairly and not hide beyond policy and take care of my customers. When I asked specifically (and while in the office ON THE 1st) when I would receive the difference back-that would have been the time to be upfront, transparent and honest about the truth about the intent to not refund the remaining days on my unit. If I would have not been told a refund was coming I would have stayed the month-and not called regarding my pro-rated refund. If that wasn’t what I was told why would I be calling? Bottom line here, I moved up the street to Extra Space Storage, rented the same size unit for $18/month. I was paying Public Storage $89 after 3 increases over 6 mos. for the same size unit. At this day in age a simple apology for the miscommunication and an effort to reimburse me something would have been appreciated and seen as compromise, the lack of an attempt to make it right is unacceptable to me. It’s not the $89 at this point it’s the principal of managing my expectations as a consumer. Please go up the street to Extra Space Storage, who were very decent about not wanting to steal their customer by the way, business is business. The pro-rated refund would have been easier at this point instead of a negative google review and friends that also rent there and now will know to relocate. Hope it was worth it, I do plan to make further calls. At this point I do want my money over the principal of standing up for myself and what is right. By the way, I work for a large property management company in town and in 2 other states that I travel, we were using Public Storage on our marketing material for new move-ins to our apartments and giving them this location in just Birmingham. That will be changing. Hiding beyond policy is one thing, refusing to see your company miscommunicated and screwed up is another.

It is very easy to find and rent a space. I found the unit at the price I wanted and signed up online. Within minutes I received a call from the site representative who asked for an appointment for completing the rental steps. Unprofessional business. They don't keep their own posted office hours. We went here this past Saturday and Sunday during the time when they were supposed to be open according to their own posted hours. The first day we arrived at 340 pm only to find a sign posted stating that the manager would be back at 435 pm. Keep in mind they close at 5 pm on Saturday. Today when we returned at 9:30 am (according to their posted hours they open at 930 am on Sunday) we found the office completely unlocked and open, but know one was in the office...leaving all customer info completely compromised.

Very helpful and friendly environment. Definitely wouldn’t recommend anywhere else for your storage needs.

We have had Public Storage units in NC and this Birmingham, AL site. This Lorna road location has been the best experience and the employees are great, particularly Beonka!. She has been great to me, on more than one instance she has helped me with the lock on my storage unit when I couldn't get it open.....I call her "magic fingers". She helps with such a great attitude and willingness that it is refreshing!

I have known Michelle for awhile now and she always makes me feel like family!! When she was over at another location and transferred I still followed her because she is very helpful and great to work with. I will continue to do business with Michelle and Public Storage for many years to come.
