Jose was excellent and very informative
John was very helpful and nice. Glad he was here today to help us out
Really good customer service! Front desk guy helped a lot!!
Jose was incredible!!... I had a hard time figuring out the elevator and he came to the rescue!!.. He was very friendly and helpful. Thank you again Jose!!
I would like to thank Jose for his excellence of service as the site manager, at the Public Storage location on 221st in Issaquah.
Jose was very personable, knowledgeable and professional.
He spent a lot of time showing me different available units, going over expectations, as well as insurance needs.
I left there feeling informed and comfortable with my decisions.
I believe Jose is an asset to Public Storage.
Jose was excellent and very helpful!
Jose was great. Super simple. Direct. Easy to setup everything
Great location and the manager Jesus is willing to help with all storage needs. I like the fact that you can have 24 hour access if needed.
Jose is great! Thank you !
Great staff with Jose he is very helpful when trying to get my mom a storage as she moved out of town and needed to store some old books .
I’ll start with the favorable part; the site is well secured. The bad? Worst move-in experience ever. Not my first rodeo. Long story, but getting into the building, onto an elevator and then getting the elevator to let you get to your floor when moving in is a GIANT pain in the ass. You need to enter your security code 3-4 times just to get to your floor. The manager is officious. I had a lot to offload. He started harassing me to move the stuff I had stacked carefully in the loading area. I made sure to block no doors or keypads because I’m not an asshole. But he badgered me to move much of my stuff anyway. Not a fan! Then, with my storage unit unlocked and 15% of my stuff still to get moved in, the building locked up. No access after 9pm. What the hell was I supposed to do? I called every phone number imaginable and there is not one human being that can take a call after 9. NOBODY!!!! Luckily a guy came by who was going to his unit after 9 and he told me you could pay for 24 hour access on the app. Why was I not told? Why did none of the AI bots give that information? All in all, it’s gonna be OK. Moving out will be a lot easier than moving in. And like I mentioned up front, the building appears to be very secure. They just need to come up with a protocol to HELP people move in rather than make an already stressful situation worse. And again, this was the worse storage move-in experience ever.
Thanks to jose he was very helpful and also with a great customer service
Jose was great. Best customer service. Appreciate his help and patience.
jose was very kind and helped alot
Jose at Issaquah is amazing!!! Super helpful - he helped us navigate the super confusing website and would highly recommend getting his help :)
I had an excellent experience with the staff at this Public Storage location. The door to my storage unit broke, and because there were no other available units to transfer my belongings into, I was worried that I would have to wait several days for a repair.
Instead, the on-site manager took care of the problem himself and fixed the door that next morning (the incident happened at night). He worked extremely hard and even cut his hand during the repair, yet he remained professional and committed to resolving the issue as quickly as possible. I was very impressed by his dedication, responsiveness, and excellent customer service. I truly appreciate how quickly he solved the problem and made sure my belongings were secure.
Very friendly grate place to rent thank you jose you made everything so easy
Jose was amazing! Friendly and helpful.
This was a well maintained storage facility with lovely staff to help as needed.
Jose was great and exceptional
I am writing to report a concerning incident that occurred on June 17th at your facility at approximately 1:00 PM. I was performing a legitimate activity—swapping seasonal tires—on items stored in our leased unit.
I took care to park in an out-of-the-way location and conduct this routine maintenance during your posted business hours. Despite these precautions, I was approached by your facility manager, Jose, who not only prohibited the activity but threatened to issue a trespassing citation if I continued.
I find this response deeply troubling for several reasons:
• As an authorized family member of an active tenant, I was simply maintaining my stored property
• The activity occurred during business hours and caused no disruption
• The manager's approach was confrontational rather than clarifying
• The threat of legal action for basic storage access is unreasonable
I require the following:
1. Explicit written clarification of your tenant access and maintenance policies
2. An explanation of why a tenant's family member cannot access and maintain personal property during business hours
3. A documented review of this manager's conduct
This incident has left me questioning whether your facility respects its tenants' rights to access their rented spaces. I expect a thorough response.
Jose excellent customer service
RAT INFESTED!!! Never rent from this location!
We had two storage units here and there was so much destroved by the rats! Our entire lives were in these units and no less than 75% has been destroyed in the approximately 6 months since we started renting the units. We were not informed before renting either unit that they
had a rat problem continually for at least a year beforehand. After telling the manager and customer service we were told that they have been trying to rid of the rats for the past TWO YEARS! The infestation is so bad that you can hear the rats skittering across the top of the units nonstop. You can hear them squeaking to eachother in the rafters. I have even started to see them as they skitter around and I managed to get a few pictures of the rats themselves The only thing they are willing to do is continue to tell us to submit a claim through the insurance they provide. What they don't tell you is they only cover $250 worth of rodent damage! We have already exceeded that in just dump fees to get rid of the destroyed items. That doesn't include the value of the items themselves. Not to mention the ridiculous price increases! They raised the rent on both units by over $100 since we started renting. And then they tried to raise the rent on the larger unit by ANOTHER $120 per month! By far the worst experience I have ever had with any public storage facility. And I know l'm not the only one that has had their stuff destroyed by these rats. We have already reported them to the health department.
Jose was very helpful and friendly! It was a pleasure doing business with him!
Jose was very accurate, professional and patient.
He kindly explained everything and made me feel welcome. 👍🌸
José, the Public Storage Manager, does a great job of exceeding customer expectations. The unit is safe and secure, with easy access available daily. We have never had any issues in almost 10 years.
Jose was prompt, helpful and friendly and moved us very quickly through the rental process. He was upfront about the information provided. Thank you, Jose!
10 Stars for Jose !!!! He answered all my questions, patient enough to show me the different unit sizes and answer all my questions. He got me in and out in a matter of minutes and im all ready to get my stuff in. Jose is the best!
Jose was awesome. Made a stressful move less stressful. Thank you!
Jose was welcoming, knowledgeable, and thorough in supporting me in looking at my storage unit options, cost, insurance, and setting up my account. He made the whole process extremely easy. He is a great representative of Public Storage.
Jose was friendly and helpful. Would recommend
Jose was a pleasure to work with. Customer service was exceptional and I am very impressed. He was very knowledgeable about the process and made everything seem-less.
I have had problems with storage in the past, but I feel confident with this location. Area looked clean, safe, and have no worries about theft. Cameras in all area, gated access, concrete floors, and 24/7 access.
Jose helped me out quickly and has great energy. I really appreciate his help.
Nice and professional customer service. Thank you.
Jose did an excellent customer service! Very nice, friendly & gentleman.
Amazing Service from Jose. He explained everything and was very helpful. I got a storage space because of him.
Jose helped me a lot! Gave me the right directions and a map to my unit. Quick and easy!
Jose provided me with a stellar rental experience and helped me get set up quickly!
Had our stuff there for a year before realizing rats had gotten in and destroyed a lot of our stuff.
Zero remorse from manage when they were informed.
Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
They have rats lots of them it's gross most public storage facility do I can't say all but 6 of the 7 I have visited have had rats sad they should get rid of them it's gross
DO NOT STORE YOUR STUFF HERE!
This place is infested with rats and the insurance will only cover $250 worth of damage caused by vermin. I rented a unit from July 2025 to October 2025 during our move. I remember on my move in date, seeing an open unit that had literal piles of rat droppings. When I asked about it, I was told it wasn’t rat droppings! 100% it was.
When it came time to move our stuff into our new home, I was finding rat droppings and urine on all of belongings. Of course, the office is never open, no one ever answers the phone or returns voicemails. I would stop by during my lunch hour to try and catch someone to speak with, but never did. What I did routinely see was a pest control vehicle in the parking lot. There are also rat traps all over the property and deterrent packets in the corners of eat unit.
I decided I wasn’t going to continue paying and sure enough started receiving phone calls and voicemails about paying my bill. Funny. Someone called me on a Sunday afternoon and I answered and asked about the numerous voicemails I had left. Apparently, there was no record or notes on my account about any messages I had left. I came in that day to close my account and when we walked through my unit there was PILES OF RAT POOP! I showed the employee all of the pee stains on my stuff and he agreed it was really bad. When I asked about a refund since our clothing and furniture was ruined, I was told to make a claim with the insurance that I paid an extra $15/month for. We’ll just found out that only covers up to $250 in damages. I paid almost $600 to this place for our belongings to be ruined with no offer of a real solution.
They put a rat trap on the wire mesh separating my unit from the ceiling. A rat was trapped dangling INTO my unit, and apparently nobody ever rechecked the trap. The rat decomposed and its bodily fluids got onto my things, along with other biohazardous substances from what I can only assume was his colony.
When I discovered a rotted rat corpse hanging by its broken neck over my stuff, I tried to call the facility and stop by their front desk in person. Nobody ever answered the phone or tended the desk. I tried several times.
I paid a junk removal service to remove the majority of my now-contaminated belongings and salvaged what little I could. After days of trying to contact them, stopping by, with no response, and attempting to reach someone with their website's poorly programmed "virtual assistant" I called corporate. I wound up having to contact sales to get to an actual person, and they routed me to customer service. Customer service was able to terminate my contract and told me the district manager, Lisa, would contact me by the end of the following day. She didn't. I called corporate again. They told me all they could do was email the district manager again and request she call me. They've now done this three or four times, they say there is nothing else they can do except email the manager, and nobody from the facility has contacted me.
Massive mouse/rat problem. They’re in the rafters and pissing/pooping on everyone’s things. It’s been several months. Yes they’ve been aware of this problem, no the conditions are not improving. Finding new poop each time
Getting the doors open and elevator to work with the app was a little wonky.
As many others have experienced, we found our unit had been affected by the rat infestation! My kids' clothes, baby gear, our furniture! Mostly covered in rat droppings and pee. Several boxes chewed open. The smell when you walk into the building is AWFUL. I'm overwhelmed and disgusted as we now have to figure out how to replace the memories lost and the stuff ruined as the insurance coverage only covers $250 of damage and we've already tossed more than that! Will be reporting this building to the Health department and attorney general as they have KNOWN about their infestation since before we moved our stuff in and all I see are SEVERAL bait boxes inside and out of the storage facility and a manager who couldn't care less that my husband told him there's a rat issue and our stuff was ruined.
Don't even get me started on the insane raised rent increases. I'm sure to cover the rodent costs that were here BEFORE US! This is not safe to rent for things that are supposed to store your belongings till you can bring them home!
Does not honor promotions. Do not fall for sales, they remove them within months and say too bad, our management team supports how we operate there’s nothing we can do.
I went down to my storage there and found out they have a big rat problem. When I approached them about this, they told me I could clean it myself and could only throw a few things in their dumpster. A lot of my stuff is ruined and my insurance has an exception for rodents. This gave me an allergic reaction to my hands. When I approached them again they were extremely unhelpful with the situation and said they would tell pest control.
Kelly (Issaquah) was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. She made the entire process seamless. Her customer service skills are top notch!
I've worked with Blake, the property manager, several times. He's quick to respond to questions and phone calls. Excellent experience.
Dennis was extremely helpful and very easy to work with. He went out of his way to help us with the elevator and changing our units to be closer together. Facility was very clean. I would highly recommend this Public Storage facility
Dennis was super helpful and takes great care of the property. My unit was safe, secure and clean. Great experience.
I am unable to use the app to unlock the doors. I have to enter the code at the main entrance and at the elevator. This makes it difficult when moving. I asked the person at the counter, but he was unable to help. He said he would put in a ticket but I have heard nothing back. I have also deleted and re-entered the app three or four times and still doesn’t work. Any suggestions? The person at the counter was as helpful as he could be. I appreciated it very much, very nice kid..
Public Storage customer service got a hold of me a couple days ago and asked me to call them when I went back to my unit so they could help me with the app. When I called them, I got a storage facility in a different town not even customer service They started asking me questions. They said I didn’t have a unit or have an access code which I do. After being on hold for about 15 minutes, they came back and told me they couldn’t help me because I don’t have access to.
Yesterday I changed my review from two stars to four stars because of the service I thought I was getting from customer service But after today with the service I received from the Bellevue Wa facility or lack of it I am changing my review to a one,
We signed up for a unit online, selected a time to pick up our keys, and showed up to find the building locked and no one there. The times they have available on their website apparently don’t correspond to the hours that their employees work.
Dennis was super helpful and understanding to my situation.
Thank you Dennis
As one of the many unlucky individuals who had their storage unit broken into recently I write this review as a warning to those who are looking to rent here or are currently renting. Last night I received a phone call from an “Unknown” number that left a message saying there was an urgent matter regarding my unit. When I got a hold of someone at the front desk, I was told that there had been suspicious activity in the building, somebody had broken into my unit, the police had been called, and that I should come down ASAP to check and see what, if anything, was missing. Over the phone, I was given very little information about what had happened. I did not appreciate how cryptic the staff were treating this issue. I understand that there is certain information that can’t be disclosed over the phone, but answering simple questions like “When did this occur?” and “How did they get into my unit?” falls into the category of items that should be disclosed to the individual.
After arriving to my unit, I saw that it had been ransacked. Larger items had been thrown around and bags had been cut open. I felt very violated. I tried to get more out of management while I was there, but unfortunately, I was given limited information. I learned that the individuals who broke in had strategically pried the door open at the lock, allowing them to open the door to about waist level. They didn’t have to remove/cut the lock, cut through the grate that covers the top of the unit, or cut through the sides. I’m not sure if the thieves closed the door behind them to cover their tracks, or how management knew that my unit had been compromised. That information was not disclosed.
I had learned from others that got their unit broken into (not management) that this has happened before and that it is a relatively common issue that has occurred in the last year, which was not disclosed upon me renting the unit. The building appears secure with a code required to access the front door and access the elevator to only the floor at which you are renting a unit. However, I have dropped items off late at night and noticed the automatic doors to the front of the building having issues closing. Management is aware of this issue. While there are cameras visible around my floor, I haven’t been able to locate them on every corridor, leaving me question if my unit is always monitored or in view of a camera.
I walked away not feeling comfortable with my items being stored there, so I left with the items that I could. I understand that there are always risks with storage units, but if a problem continues to occur something needs to change. I believe that management needs to be more up front with what they are doing to improve security and prevent these events from happening in the future. Whether that’s surveillance, better screening and physical verification for new renters to avoid fraudulent renters, upfront communication about when these events occur that disclose the information they can communicate to their tenants. View this as a warning if you are a future or current renter at this location.
I got great help from Dennis to extend my current rate. I highly recommend this place.
I got a unit with them over a year ago. In that time I’ve heard of a few break ins but tonight it happened to mine and several other people’s units. It is clear that someone went through my belongings, tore through bags, cut off tape and what was covering my TVs and couch. Someone with the unit two down from mine had someone break in and cut open 6 of his 8 bags. A girl was talking to the police about how valuable things were stolen from her unit.
The office called us from an unknown number (that’s literally how it appeared when they called us, no number just “unknown”) saying “this is public storage. There’s been an urgent matter involving your unit. Please call us back.” Now obviously they were busy making calls to all of us and dealing with the police so Im not upset about having to call 10+ times anxiously trying to figure out what happened and how bad it was.
It wasn’t until I got there where they again said it was urgent and that “something suspicious” happened outside of, around or to my unit and I needed to go up and see if anything was missing. It occurred to me that it seemed they were being intentionally vague as to what happened but finally I was able to get out of them that the suspicion came from my units door being popped off the railings. I’m not sure the reason it was so difficult to get that out of them, but I had to ask several times before they told me.
This was not the first time this particular public storage has been broken into but it was the first time mine was. Since moving in they have raised my units price 3 times. It was originally $140 a month to now over $249/month. They have raised the price almost $100 a month in about a year.
The building is nice and seems cleanish and new. Climate controlled. Requires unique codes to enter the building and when it’s past open hours (usually open until 9pm) and the same code is always required to use the elevators. They say there are a “ton of cameras” so I would assume they’d be able to figure out who was breaking in using someone’s unique code to get in and up with all those cameras but when I’m walking around I don’t see any cameras. Not in the hallways, the units, and not in the elevators.
Definitely did not want to rent after talking to them on the phone. Very rude. The lady seemed like she hated her job and shouldn’t be there.
Dennis is a very helpful and such a patient person. He helped me through transferring all cancellations from one location to this one although he seems so exhausted and busy but I am really appreciate his service and professionalism. Thank you!
All of our stuff was destroyed by rodents. They ate through our boxes and droppings and urine destroyed a good chunk of our furniture. That does not even start with the clean up/smell dump loss we will have to take. On top of that we were with them for a year and went from $250 a month to almost $400. Basically was paying for a rodent infestation.
Unfortunately, I have needed the services at the 221st St Issaquah Public Storage for about 4 years now as I've navigated the death of 3 family members. During that time, I have had consistently courteous, professional, and timely assistance whenever I've had a question. I have had particularly good service from managers Blake and Dennis who have been able to advise me and resolve my issues quickly. They are both definitely deserving of 5 star reviews!
The only reason for the 4 stars is the randomly increasing monthly fees. I assume most people use this for much shorter term storage than I have required, so probably don't experience so many of these.
This place is a joke, had storage for ONLY 4 months and was emailed with a rent increase from $190 to $257 I am moving out of this place. Price gouging at it's finest!
We have a unit here. Always clean and friendly staff.
Issaquah storage has rats that poop on your stuff, figured this out on day 1 of my rental. According to another person, they also chew your stuff. I haven't gotten my stuff chewed up, just pooped on...a lot
Blake (the property manager) provides EXCELLENT customer service! Clean facility, easy move-in / move-out, and good pricing on the unit! Thank you!
Very well lit and clean, climate controlled great location and super convenient. Blake is so helpful and knowledgeable/ friendly
Called and said I would need access to my unit on Christmas Day, and was told it would be no problem. Show up to get into unit and can’t.
The guy at the front office was so nice & helpful, the facility was clean, and if I were picking a Public Storage facility, this would be it!
UPDATE:
The refund never came either and its been over a month.
Rodent and insect infested property at least on floor 3. Pretty disappointed in this location. I have rented with them before and other locations in the area multiple times over the last 6 years. Haven’t had many issues until I recently (6/2023)
When I first came in to pay the reserved amount and get the unit information, after paying, the unit they took me to wasn’t cleaned out and the door was broken. They told me I couldn’t move in but it would be fixed by that day or the following. It wasn’t and they didn’t have another unit available. They wouldn’t refund and told me to wait. I did. A week and a half later I get moved to a different unit (and charged a moving fee…..) whatever.
Didn’t have time to move in right away since I work and had allotted the last two week to move when the door was broken. Fast forward two weeks. I’m finally able to start moving items and find that there are hundreds of ants everywhere in the hallways, on the walls, and trailing into various units. I go to mine and find a few ants and rodent/mice feces on the floor and shelf. I immediately called and notified the office of the issue and me not being able to move in. They called back a day or two later saying they would “launch an investigation”. Have been trying to get in touch with customer service for awhile and finally today heard they would process a refund for 1/4 of what I paid. They told me I could file a damage claim through the insurance but since I was never able to move in, there is no claim to be filed. Issues happen and I totally understand that. But to not right the wrong or take any accountability as a business and property is low. Definitely wouldn’t attempt to rent here again.
David was extremely helpful today. Thank you!
David was very helpful! The process was super easy.
Cameron went above and beyond to help me over the few days that my family was getting our unit set up and we were moving. He was diligent, kind, informative, attentive and able to offer assistance when needed. Outstanding customer service.
Cameron, at this location, is very helpful and polite. I am a customer, for many years. Thank you
Cameron was professional and polite. He assisted in showing my family and I a facility that is clean and appropriate for our needs. We are looking forward to storing with him at Public Storage.
Cameron greeted me in a friendly, professional manner. He answered all my (many) questions in a clear, understandable way. Cameron walked me through the steps necessary to download the Public Storage app, and patiently waited while I tested it a few times. From a customer service standpoint, Cameron hit a home run! I commented he must have worked there a fairly long time as he was knowledgeable, smooth, and well-practiced in delivery. I was surprised when he told me he was still a newbie, with just a few months with Public Storage. He obviously enjoys working there and helping people. If Public Storage were in a sports league, Cameron would be a top contender for Rookie of the Year; he scored big for his company, as well as for himself.
BTW, the facility was clean, well lit, and tenant access seems excellent while maintaining security.
Google says to add photos. So here's one of my three-year old cat Kiki, watching video of herself playing, and trying to join in; Benny, a 16-year-old trying to get in his 16 hours of shuteye; and the neighborhood bobcat posing for a photo.
Blake is super polite and very helpful!!
Cameron the property manager was very helpful and patient during a very stressful move for me.
Sooo hurt by how this location handled my personal belongings that were left after the auction was complete. Would NOT recommend. Spend the extra cash and get a POD storage instead
Great customer service and very clean place easy access
Doug was very friendly and made the sign up process easy. I would recommend renting a storage unit here. The mobile app for access is also very easy to use.
Doug was very helpful and pleasant. Very easy process and the facility is clean!.
Dennis made it so easy to transfer units for my elderly parents and was very kind and patient with the whole process.
Attention for Auctioneers!
This location is creating a fraud and scam you easily!
The location is limited by time even more Tuesdays and Wednesdays they are closed. They also not provide you extend time because what they need that you have as less time as possible to rent their units, it's how they makes money! This is poor choice they do to lose any help to clean they units for them in near in the future! I am high disappointed with the rule, structure, and management they provide! Zero stars 🌟 and good luck with your dishonesty ....
Blake helped me out to switch to a different size unit. He made it so quick and easy and is really friendly.
Easy to access the facility and secure.
Everything is is good and clean, but my problem is the in less year my bill has gone from $135 a month to $219 a month. That is outrageous and not cool
Blake is kind and showed me how to use the tricky elevator :)
