My wife was having some problems with her storage unit, and Darren from Public Storage went above and beyond to make sure everything was fixed and done right. I rented a small space over the winter and just moved out. I happened to check my credit card statement, and I was charged an extra $20/mo. for the past 2 months without any notice. I had trouble initially with the insurance charge (I have my own), so I don't know what this is for, but NOT ACCEPTABLE!

Very disappointed. Never calls back. Entire facility has 2 carts maybe. Not sure where all went but it’s been that way for over a month. For the amount being paid, people should pick up the phone or call you back. Not having carts is a major problem as bring your own takes up a lot of space and that means more trips. There are better managed facilities that are the same price or less.

"Warning , Beware" before you rent here, ! last night was a nightmare, for me ,after loading all day yesterday ,upon before me moving in my storage , I was only able to locate only one cart to move a fifteen foot truck of furniture, so I called customer service Immediately, and they said that there is nothing that they can do about my sisuation, so I asked him how am I suppose to move all my stuff when there was only one cart , he replied that they were taken by other clients, so Ivreplied that was why I paid to move in here to use the equipment to help me to move in my storage, which was not avail at the time that I needed it most , so it took me several hrs to move my stuff, and today my back is killing me, this is not good ,this is really sad, and on top of it it didn't sound like it was going to get resolved it properly is going to get woser. But why should everybody else get punished for something that someone else is doing this is not fair and it's crazy equipment should be tagged to be able to locate its whereabouts to fine the people who are doing this not just one cart for everyone to use, this needs to be resolved in a timely and Fairley matter that's fair to everyone who is not doing this before someone gets hurts , I will also be reporting this to the better business. Cause this sound like it is out to destroy their business.no body deserve this spending hours to move their stuff ,I over exorted my self from all that work, could have died from a heart attack, I would not recommend this place to any one

Frank was immediately warm, friendly and knowledgeable. He gave a lot of insight about the facility, how public storage operates in terms of moving in, moving out, and pricing. For a first time renter, it made the process easier for me to understand and to ensure that I knew what I was getting into.
The facility is well kept and clean, and I was able to see a few different units to make sure that I was getting the best option for my needs.
All in all, I am edified in my decision to choose not just Public Storage—but this facility specifically.

Renee is the best property manger. I highly recommend seeing her. The facility was going to raise my rent but with her help she waived 3 months of higher prices.
Climate controlled storage is nice, as is the ability to pull inside to unload and the availability of hand trucks to help move stuff to and from the storage units. What isn't nice is the price steadily increasing, hearing some sort of critters rustling around in our stuff, and the poor lighting.
DO NOT USE THIS PUBLIC STORAGE. SCAMMERS AND LIARS. About a year ago I complained that the unit was waaaay too humid for a place that is supposedly climate controlled. I gave a negative review and they fixed the temp/humidity. This summer the unit was humid again. I didn’t have the energy to complain. And, now my coats are moldy. DO NOT USE THIS PUBLIC STORAGE.

Super experience! The facility in Schaumburg is squeaky clean and pristine. The office manager, Renee, couldn't have been more helpful, and made sure I had the best size and type of unit for my needs. The facility is climate controlled, all units, and you are able to drive inside one of the two docks to unload your vehicle, so inclement weather is a non-issue. This is my first time renting a storage space, and after shopping around, I know I made the right choice and will be recommending Public Storage to friends and family!

Clean and spacious facility with options for large and small units. Easy access, can even open the garage door with the app. Recommend bringing your own lock on top of the provided one. Climate control is nice and cold to keep the humidity down especially for the summer. Never had an issue here and management seems very helpful. Great Public Storage location!
