Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 940 Professional Place, Chesapeake, VA

Rodney at 940 Professional place provided the best customer service that I have received at a public storage facility! He went above and beyond to help me locate two side by side units! He was humorous and very knowledgeable on company policies and operations and overall a great access to Public Storage. Keep up the great work!

It was easy to obtain a space and use. Didn't use it for long, but the price was good and overall pleased.

Horrible customer service! I rented a unit and they gave me an inactive code. Had rented a uhaul and was at facility to load unit, only to find out that my access code did not work. I called customer service and they were of no help. After about 10minutes of trying to get issue resolved, time to get into unit had lapsed. I expressed that to the rep over the phone to which he tried to talk about time management with me versus resolving the issue. They gave me another code to use, but i had to wait till the next morning. By doing so, caused extra fees with uhaul and inconvenienced me and the help I had. Reluctantly, I got up to be at unit by opening the following morning. Only to find out, the. code. still. did. not. work.(including the new one). The property manager at 1127 Executive(940 Professional place) was of no help when he finally called me. Ensuring he would call me back about how they were going to resolve issue. That was almost a month ago. TL;DR: I am beyond happy to be moved into new home and happier to be OUT OF PUBLIC STORAGE!! Rent with caution. I don't even like leaving reviews, but since nothing was done about public storage's role/part in the fiasco, Here I am.

I contacted the facility through the web service. I pre-booked a space. The website rejected my payment in full multiple times in different forms. I contacted their customer service. The first person said they would send me an email to make the payment. It never came. I had no time to wait so I went directly to the facility. The facility is closed during normal operating hours with nobody around or sign to indicate why they are closed. I contact customer service again to try and reach somebody at the facility. The individual on the line said I for some reason couldn't pay online and had to pay in person, well I was in person waiting over 20+ minutes for somebody to show up. Nobody showed up and the person on the line offered to connect me to the site manager and I said yes. The phone rang and rang and nobody answered so I left a message which a WEEK+ later has never returned my call. This type of lackadaisical care and attitude is awful. With so many quality storage places in such a proximity, you want to lose business this quickly? I will NEVER attempt to come to this facility at a minimum and I planned a very very long term stay. You all should be ashamed for wasting hours and hours of my time.

Public storage has been great for all our needs. Rodney at this location is awesome! He is very professional, communicates well, listened to concerns, and processed everything in a very timely manner. Will continue to use Public Storage because of his customer service professionalism.

Very nice staff and assisted us good. Affordable storage rooms helped us a lot saved money from Moving house. We definitely recommend to all our friends and everyone.

Jimmy Caster cut locks off my storage unit and things are missing. No matter who I talk to or call I am not connect to him or given his work number. This place continues to increase the rental price, they have had people living in the units and a camper that has be rotting and falling apart for months and nothing has been done about it.

Rodney worked that day, and he was so sweet and accommodating. The rate on the unit got too high for me, but I really have not had any issues with them. App works just fine, able to pay on there. Being away for 10yrs and able to use the app to unlock the gate was great. Over all no complaints. Thank you for everything Rodney you were mvp that day!

First and foremost it's obvious that a lot of the good reviews are done by Public Storage employees or management. If you check their review history you'll see that they only review Public Storage locations. More evidence of their campaign of lies... Anyway, onto the review: Public Storage on Greenbrier Blvd has closed in advance of a potential hurricane without notifying customers whose emails and phone numbers they have on file. The problem is that i was in the middle of emptying out my unit a little day by day because it might flood. There is always standing water in front of my unit even on a dry day. There was no notification given or posted there, and i would know because ive been busy up there. I have explained to their customer service but they are useless and rude. There is no weather coming for days so why can't we get our stuff?? They lied to us and told us that they were located in evacuation zone A and were complying to the mandatory evacuation order. A quick check of the map confirmed that they are not located in any evacuation zone at all. Why the shady and pathetic cover up attempt? The items in our storage obviously do not mean much to their company, but they mean a lot to me and my family. I am really heartbroken that the irreplaceable heirlooms inside could have potentially been destroyed because they decided to close, days before one drop of rain hits the ground.

Renting a unit was easy using the phone app. Since renting Rodney has provided unparalleled customer service as an associate of Public Storage. The site is clean and well maintained. I'd highly recommend renting from this location. It's my first experience with the chain and because of Rodney it's certainly not my last.

10 out of 5 stars for Rodney at the front desk. Quick, efficient, and very helpful with getting the right size unit for my move. Rodney definitely deserves a pay raise and a promotion for his superb customer service and unmatched qualities.

I call public storage because they Jack my price up again within 6 months from $177 to $239. I initially felt like we are being punished even though we have been faithful long serving customers. Then I spoke to Candace and she gave us excellent customer service. She was a true professional and was very helpful and polite. Thank you Candace for your support in helping us.

Rodney was great, he accommodated my last minute changes and he helped me figure out my storage issues. The units were clean and ready for use. The surrounding area is nice and I felt safe being there late in the evening. No rodent droppings, no trash, no regrets!
