Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 398 Long Bridge Drive, Arlington, VA

Originally left a five star review three years ago, but I have been trying to get hold of storage unit for three weeks while I live outside the country. I left multiple voicemails and they only contacted me after I scheduled the move out. Moved my stuff to CubeSmart down the street to save $300/month and have customer service that calls back.

We got our unit quickly and efficient and with much care and support from Brian. He was very attentive and helped us pick the right unit for our needs. He also gave us information on current deals and overall pricing. And lastly, he gave us a walkthrough tour of the storage building which was truly a nice touch. Thank you so much Brian!

RATS RATS RATS!! This facility has a KNOWN infestation (see low google reviews written in the past 2 years as well as rat traps positioned throughout the first floor). Buyer beware: Your Orange Door Insurance WILL NOT cover Vermin infestation. Our unit contents were mostly DESTROYED by rat infestation and the insurance rep, Sedgwick, denied our claim for the paltry $150 compensation. DO NOT STORE ANY type of food items in your unit (the items stored our unit were baking supplies.) The insurance is a SCAM to take your money. While the staff was nice to work with, the facility is a rodent haven.

Been renting at the facility for almost a year now and have no complaints. The manager is attentive and responsive and is always happy to resolve issues and complaints swiftly.

The manager at this facility provides A-1 service. He was patient and worked seamless through some issues I was facing and resolved them with grace and consideration. I will continue renting at this property as long as he is managing the property. Great guy through and through!

You can't go wrong if you decide to rent a storage space here. The property manager, BRIAN, is absolutely amazing! He is super helpful and knowledgeable about the units and property. When I was trying to decide on a unit size, he was very good at helping me figure out which one was best for my needs. The storage property is clean and so are the hallways, even after people have moved. I've never had a problem with rodents or insects. I really like renting here. Brian and hisstaff are always nice and friendly and they always provide great customer service, especially Brian. I always have great interactions with them when I go to the office. And if I have any questions or concerns, they are always super helpful and able to help me. I highly recommend renting here.

EDIT: Since my last review these issues have been addressed. The pricing is quite fair for the location and covinience, highly recommend! OLD: The storage facility is conveniently located. I've been here a few months and the exit is still broken, requiring me to go out the entrance on foot, open the gate from the outside, and then go back to my car and drive out. The staff appears to be non-existent. I went to the office and hour before listed closing and it was empty. I've tried calling 4-5 times over a few weeks and am still unable to actually get in touch with anyone. So location and facility are good, but customer service honestly is not.

I have been renting at this location for over 8 years. The management here is excellent!!! Sasha responds to questions and concerns very quickly. She is also very knowledgeable and helpful with coming up with solutions to any problems that may come up. She is such a good property manager that I've only had one problem in the 8 years I've been there and it was a problem that I created by accident. She was able to resolve it quickly and easily. Sasha really cares about her customers and is always smiling and friendly. You always feel welcome when you walk into the office. She goes above and beyond to make sure that the customers have a pleasant and problem-free experience renting there. She makes sure the property is kept immaculately clean. She manages her staff really well so when she isn't there, staff is helpful and able to help with any concerns. Khamal is extremely helpful when Sasha is not available and always a pleasure to work with. He also goes above and beyond to help customers with questions and concerns. Sasha is one of the best and most personable property managers I've ever met and you do not meet very many people like her very often in the storage business. It is easy to get to all the units and the bay is large enough for moving trucks to be inside so if it is raining or snowing outside, you can unpack your items in a dry location. I highly recommend renting storage space at this location and working with Sasha.

I did not like my experience at this property. You can call and no one will answer. It's always leave a message. Even if you go in person. During business hours no one is there and the door is locked. The exit gate and front gate will shut down on multiple occasions. Be prepared to move out. If you reserve a into during a special the increase can go up to $60 once the special is over. Buy overall it's that no one is ever available to assist. I'm glad I'm closing my account with them.

Sasha was a tremendous help! She worked with me through reserving a unit and came through again when I had a last-minute adjustment to my unit. Every encounter with her has been a pleasure, and she made the process easy! The unit's themselves have varied sizes. The facility is clean and feels safe. The only item of reservation are the hours and reprimanding e-mails for work outside of "duty hours." It is seemingly accessible 24 hours, with a gate code and locking doors, which make the reprimand questionable. Overall, a great spot to fill your storage needs with a spacious, secure, and clean facility! And again, a great employee, Sasha, who ties it all together effortlessly!

Sasha is amazing! I've had a storage unit here for over a year, and she has been incredibly helpful from start to finish. From finding the right unit, to assisting with a locksmith issue, to providing proper moving supplies - Sasha went above and beyond every time. She is extremely friendly and has such a positive, bubbly personality that makes every interaction pleasant. Despite how busy she gets, Sasha was always patient and happy to help. She is an outstanding manager and true asset to this Public Storage location. I If I wasn’t moving out the state, I would continue using this location simply because of her! Thanks Sasha!

Been using Public Storage on Long Bridge Drive for a year and always had an easy experience. Recently had an issue locating the keys and The Property Manager Kamou was very helpful over several calls walking me through procedures and ultimately helping me identify the second key. He went above and beyond when our timing window was very tight.

If you’re looking for storage in the Longs SC area then Public Storage is the place to go. The storage units are clean and spacious the price is reasonable and their customer service is the Best !!! Mike at the Longs location helped us through the whole process he was so friendly, informative and helpful that he made the stressful time of moving and storing our belongings somewhere else so much easier. Thanks again Mike !!!

Absolutely disgusting. I saw all the great reviews and decided to leave my items in storage with no food or perishable items. Just like the previous review I had rats or mice chew through my boxes and make themselves a nest. Rat droppings and urine in the box. My boxes were NOT climate controlled. It was dusty and I could see that they had done some drilling above my unit and left all the dust and grit for me to clean up. Don’t rent here it’s a scam. You pay over 100 dollars for a closet in the pits of hell. On the plus side the employees are very helpful and nice but only so much they can do with the trash they’re given.

Infested with rats and false advertising of "climate controlled" I was at this unit for 3 months and regret every second my belongings were at this location. When I checked up on my unit last week, I was appalled to find my wall chewed through by rats and rat droppings in and around my unit. I stored no food, vitamins, or any perishables in my unit and everything was in either a cardboard box or a plastic storage bin. I emptied out my storage unit the following day and found none on my belongings had been visited by rats, I was just caught in the crossfire of rodents running between units. In addition to this, all units are labelled as "climate controlled", but the humidity is in excess of 40% and the ambient temperature was 80°F when I was there to unload my unit on July 30th, 2023. When I began my contract with Public Storage in April, it was still too cool throughout the day to learn that whatever climate control they do have in there to check the box is inadequate to cool the size of this location. Least important note is that this is clearly a lowest-cost-to-operate location. The hallways are incredibly narrow, the unit doors are only 2-3ft wide, there is only one elevator on each side, there are not enough sleds to accommodate the number of renters, and the lighting inside the unit is non-existent (I had to bring my camping lantern every time I went). My only positive thing to say about this location is that staff were friendly and understanding of my immediate need to move out of the unit and provided me with cleaning supplies and trash bags to facilitate this move. I've rented from public storage in 3 different states now, but this is the last time I'll be renting with them.

I just wanted to take the time and say that the employee that helped me was amazing! Mr. Lonnie answered every question I had (and I had a lot). He walked me through the whole process and again I just want to thank him for that!

Ms.Renne was very very helpful today as my team came in this establishment and face many problems that had nothing to do with her as the last employee put our customers items away which were somehow lost. But Ms.Renne was very helpful and we were able to get our job done smoothly.

RATS !! There are rats everywhere. They have traps out but they only catch a few of them ... Completely ridiculous !
