Kim is the reason why I rated 4 stars! She is so patient genuine and helpful! This location needs to update elevator and offer longer hours. They close access into gate at 6pm. This is not convenient.

Shorter hours than some, minimal parking, and a/c temp is a bit higher than some. Problem I had is that the large spaces on top floor have sloped ceilings and do NOT provide the expected amount of vertical space. Be sure you investigate. Otherwise, this is a pretty nice space overall.

Ms. Kim helped me with reservations for a 5x10. She was absolutely amazing. Above and beyond. She helped transfer to another unit with a better price AND made sure it was close to the unit I was moving out of. I’m just so grateful for her and her kindness. Ms. Kim is the reason I stay! She is the heart and soul of this facility. You never meet genuine people these days, and the fact I can always count on her for a thoughtful hand speaks volumes. Public Storage is incredibly lucky to have such a valuable asset.
Do Not Rent Here! If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. On August 14, I signed a same day lease at this location under false pretenses. I was told that the medication I stored at the storage was ok to store there because it was sealed and the temperature would be 77 degrees Fahrenheit. I went with Kim before I movers in, to the surrounding thermostats to turn them down and was assured they would remain at that temperature when I signed the least. Fast forward 2 days and $800 worth of moving costs and the temperature had risen to what was said to be 82 degrees Fahrenheit, but it felt hotter and I was met with a nasty and unprofessional attitude from the young lady working at the desk. Do not store anything here, they will tell you they can do something that they don’t have the authority or the integrity to do.
Kim is so sweet she deserves a raise she seen me and my dad loading up our storage and she provided us with water no questions asked she answer all questions with no additude honestly she made my day.

Ms. Kim, from the moment that we met her, was helpful, knowledgeable, professional, and very understanding of our needs on a wet, rainy, busy day.
The premises were extremely well-kept and clean which put my mind at ease about leaving my daughter’s things there.
This Jackson street location is a less than 10 minute drive to two college campuses, and ~15-20 minute drive to other campuses in the area.
While the Public Storage brand is widely known, I personally recommend Ms. Kim and this location!

Miss Kim was such a standout. This was my first time getting a storage unit. Did everything online but when I entered the store, she walked me through everything including downloading the app so I could have easy access to my unit, the times the storage was open and the additional free carts if I needed it. She told me exactly where to go to find my unit but I really feel like if I asked her, she would have walked with me. Her customer service was direct, warm and very efficient. I honestly had no questions when I left because she answered everything. Can’t wait to come back to see her smiling face! She also was very reassuring about n the safety and lockdown of my unit and the full facility. If you really want to feel safe and supported and your belongings, come see Miss Kim and let her walk you through the process. I also purchased medium boxes to help with my move and it was very affordable and sturdy.

Called in to ask about storage sizes and needed some additional help to choose best one . I have a lot of stuff I kept from when my grandmother passed and I didn't want anything to become broken. Kim answered and my first thought was I hope she is prepared to answer all of my questions. Kim answered every single one of them and didn't seem annoyed with me at all. Had the best customer service from Mrs. Kim, recently water got into storage Unit from bad rain storm. Mrs Kim called me to let me know what was going on once i got there she took the time out walked with me to my storage unit and help me go through all my belongings that had gotten wet from heavy rain. I went to move into a storage unit today and they gave me the wrong directions to my unit , said it was on the first floor when I actually came to find out much later it was the 2nd floor , meanwhile I have movers being paid by the hour waiting to unload and I can’t find my unit and NOONE IS IN THE OFFICE. Absolutely ridiculous. I was there about 2 hours, finally found my unit on my own after wasting time/money looking and the entire time no one comes to the office. Some kind of maintenance guy shows up but says he can’t get into the office because whoever was supposed to be there ran off with the keys. This experience was completely unacceptable and I will be in contact demanding a refund for the extra 30 minutes I had to pay the movers as there is also no signage whatsoever indicating which number units are on which floor so I had to go on a wild goose chase with zero assistance. Believe me if I could afford movers again I would be RUNNING from this storage unit. whoever used to work here that provided good service apparently quit is what another renter told me, save yourself the headache DO NOT RENT HERE
Edit: in response to the companies response I tried calling many times on different days and none ever answers, so if no one is ever there to assist customers once again DO NOT rent here, the “ask us” button does not help or get you to a live person so make all the excuses you want, either staff the place properly or at least have someone remote to answer the damn phone

Not happy with the service and rent rate: the unit was break in on December 2022, missed the call from them but not received any email regarding the break-in until 3 months after the incident. The rate keeps increasing, my original was $189, and after 6 months it is an additional $50, and ended up at $280. Customer service was hard to reach, left several messages without any callback. Went to the property several times, the gate was open and no attendants were in the office. Disappointed! The fact that I live a block away from the storage property, I will not rent from them anymore.

I had to upgrade it to 3 - Stars, as I have the most respect for the new manager there. She is an absolute wonder. I can't remember her name at this time, but I will always remember her hard work and focus on customer service. Although I'm moving out, she has been able to address many of the issues that have plagued me for years (listed below), prior to her arrival. I truly wish her much success in her new roll.

I came in yesterday to ask some questions about renting a unit, and I was helped by Ms Kim. She showed me some 10x10 to 10x15 spaces and explained to me how to use the key pad and expressed to me the hours the property was opened. She pointed out the cameras for security. I was very well treated with hostility by Ms. Kim who was also very knowledgeable and confident about everything she was saying. I hope to see her again and to deal with her every month. I’m certain that my property is good hands as long as she is at this location.

I have a chronic moving problem. I seem to find myself moving 1-3 times a year! So I often need a storage unit to stow away my furniture and belongings. Public Storage has been a wonderful solution for me. Miss Serena in the office at 2405 Jackson St is a DELIGHT and is so helpful! She helped me strategize what size storage room I would need and what the most cost-effective way to store my belongings would be. She also educated me on appropriate quotes for movers so that I wouldn’t be ripped off (I’m not originally from the area so this was much appreciated!)
Some may not like the hours of operation - if you’re a working professional and need access after 6pm, you might want to look elsewhere. I personally appreciate that there is ALWAYS a manager present to address needs and to ensure there aren’t break-ins.
There is also a loading dock for moving trucks and dollies for moving boxes from your car. Everything you could need!
I really enjoyed my rental process with my public storage! The manager, Serena was very helpful and pleasant. Serena made a stressful process a lot easier for me, I highly recommend this facility to future renters. Thx Ms. Serena!

If climate control means that you have a/c units on site; then I guess it is climate controlled.
The staff that works on site do as good of a job they can with the horrible support their management team provides.
1. Rarely carts are available to use for the customers.
2. There are several lights that are out and/or not working. The lights and covers in the elevators are absolutely disgusting. The expense to replace them are MINIMAL (+/- $10.00 each)
3. The hours of access are ridiculous! The renter can not access the property after 6:30. This is because they do not have any way to monitor and/or keep the homeless from spending the night in the building.
4. Rather than charging a lower rate because of the hours of access and the inability maintain the property properly.
5. Since I have leased storage space at this location the last 5+ years, the things they have done consistently are as follows;
A. Raised the rent every year.
B. No regular preventative maintenance of the facility.
C. Consistent/proper temperature throughout the facility.
Look elsewhere…they have just announced another rate increase as of August…the reason, I’m sure, because everyone else is doing it.

Three years later... and we were reay to return the unit, but we live in another state. Ms. Kim and Ms. Natasha were absolutely great helping us out with information, as well as helping to instruct the person we hired to go empty the unit for us. Customer service was stellar!
This property needs improvement. Air conditioning is rarely working to keep the top floor from being unbearably hot, our lights didn’t work in the unit for months at a time, not very clean, and it gets crowded with the one elevator and two carts on the weekends. Needs to have a restroom on each floor. The management was mostly nice, but couldn’t do a lot to fix ongoing issues.
Ms’ Kim was a really nice lady she help me out with all my questions….. That what I look for when I come it to places is good customer service and she have it all!!! Really professional!!!!!!! Thank you Ms Kim!!!!!
