Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 205 E West Pkwy, Anderson, SC

I rented from Storeease prior to this changing hands to Public Storage and had no problems whatsoever. Signing up with Public Storage was actually easier than with Storeease, however, before I signed up, I noticed a couple of people in their recent reviews mentioned that there were people living in some of the units. I never noticed this when it was Storeease. Today at 12:30PM I went to unload some things at my unit and I noticed a couple of guys that were smoking inside the building and appeared to have a lot of stuff that homeless people tend to collect. They apparently arrived at the units with a bicycle and a little wagon behind it. I am concerned a bit that nobody is checking to make sure no one is living in these units. It’s possible they lost their drivers license and are using a bike instead of a car to store things but that really seems unlikely. I think there have been enough concerns about this to warrant a check. First, smoking inside of a storage building is very unsafe and an obvious fire hazard and second, I just don’t like the idea of vagrants hanging around the storage area and having access. I hope there will be an investigation. I think it would be clear if someone at Public Storage would do periodic inspections and open up some of these storage areas and look inside. I’m sure you could absolutely tell if people are living in there or storing stuff like they’re supposed to. If this comes concern is addressed then I would have no problem raising my review to 5.

Was very helpful. Answered all my questions and walked me down to the unit to let me see the space. The units are well kept and the facility is clean.

Melissa was super helpful. Helped my mother in law get in a unit. Very quick, super helpful and nice lady. Ask for her if you go!!

This place is dirty. I dont feel like my stuff is safe here there office is gone through and there celling tiles are falling out water leaking from the celling the bathroom is locked there punch key pad doesn't work out front. And people are stealing people's stuff here not to mention no security.

It appears at least that there is a what I assume to be an unhoused individual living in one of the units

Don’t like that there isn’t a staff running the place in person. And the access hours are inconsistent. There are a lot of people that go in and out of the units with shopping carts and seem to have access to the units that they’re living in at all hours of the night. And the people that live in those units offer help hoping to get paid. Makes me extremely uncomfortable. There are people walking their dogs there like it’s a dog park. Don’t understand why there is a gate if it always stays open. we pulled up a few minutes before 11pm our access to the unit was cut off to unload our belongings after being told we had access till midnight.

Don’t store anything with this company. They ruined all of my family heirlooms , paintings and from my late mother’s home. Gone forever and all they offered was $2000 insurance check . A few years ago we had a cold weather event and this place let temp get down to freezing during a power outage . So all the pipes froze and sprinklers filled the building . No generator for backup power . Asleep at the wheel . And no one onsite . I put this stuff in there to be safe secure and cared for until i could move it out of state and now it’s all lost . Do not use this company

We loved storage ease while we needed it! The convenience of being able to go come and go was perfect! Bailee was great when it came to any questions that I had!
