I WAS HELD HOSTAGE BY THE GATE WHEN MOVING IN. Would give ZERO stars, if I could. I've been a customer at this Black Horse Pike location since Nov, 2023 (formerly Cube Smart, gave them 5 stars across the board). Shortly after PS took over in August, 25, things went downhill slowly and surely. 1. They cut employees and left only 1 part-timer, which is a real disadvantage for business owners like me, who go in-and-out daily, sometimes several times a day. 2. In October, 2025 I booked another unit for my business, and decided to take advantage of the late night hours of the rental truck, giving me extra time to move into a 10x30 unit. Drove in around 7pm, unloaded the truck and was heading out, when I discovered that the gate would not open after hours. I admit, it was half my fault for not reading the letter I received from PS after they took over, however, having rented various storage units since 2009, I knew that exiting after hours would not be a problem, as long as I had the code. Came out - I was wrong. To make things worse, the call button on the exit dial connected me to the front desk, unattended by anyone at that late hour. But wait! It gets even worse - I had forgotten my cellphone at home, so couldn't call the main office. Well, tried to make the best of the situation and get situated in the truck cabin, but the discomfort of the cabin and the pressing cold forced me to jump the gate, so I could get hold of someone by using the phone at the nearby Wawa. Already past midnight, the metal gate was wet from the night's moist air, my foot slipped on the gate and I fell. Broke my right pinky and had 2 giant bleeding gushes on my left leg for a long while after the incident... and still had to walk a couple of hundred yards to get to the aforementioned Wawa. 3. Mid-December, drove in around 4pm, already dark as midnight, but the lights weren't on within the whole area. I have several units, 2 locks on each door, and just as many keys bundled together. Of course, I had forgotten my phone again, and couldn't find the right keys for the right locks for 15-20 minutes... The timer didn't get adjusted until late January, 2026... 4. During the first two weeks of February the elevator was not working, I felt pity for people moving in or out of their units located on the second floor. 5. Snowed hard last week, and again this week. Both times the roads and other business lots in the area were cleaned within the next day. HOWEVER, PS being true to its ridiculously lacking business practices, didn't get their lot cleaned even on the second day. Today, 2 days after the last snow, I was forced to park my car on the side of the road and walk trough knee-long snow to get access to my units. A 4-wheel drive SUV was stuck by the entrance. The driver was shovelling snow so he could turn around and out of the lot without being able to reach his unit.

This facility was acquired by public storage from Cubesmart last year and since it basically no longer has functional management. They rent spaces on a second floor but no longer provide an elevator for people to remove their belongings. I am writing this review February 9th 2026 and they have not had a functioning elevator since November 2025! They also have no costumer service - they have you talking in circles with an answering machine. When they finally reach out to you they have no excuse about the elevator other than to say "we left a message with the technician". Unbelievable! Too bad the system does not allow for zero star reviews. Save yourself the trouble and find another storage facility.

security locks on the main doors to the outside units dont work. i think its a little ridiculous that our rates keep increasing yet they cant properly secure the buildings that people's units are in. anybody can just walk right into the building. i'm paying over $90 i should feel secure about where my storage unit is.

There is no one in their office to talk with, unlike before Public Storage took over the facility.You’re reduced to voicemail messages. Their phone system for paying is screwed up. In my example, the system told me that my payment was lower due to a credit. I paid the lower amount before the due date. I then get text messages telling me that the amount of the credit is past due.i call customer service multiple times about this and I’m told that it’s an error and to ignore the text messages. I go to the facility to grab a carry on bag for a weekend trip and I’m denied entry and told to contact management. Management does not pick up the phone. The pay the credit amount and a past due penalty. I’m still denied entry. I call management again and I get a voicemail message.
