The 87th street location was convenient, easy to access, clean, including clean restrooms, temperature was comfortable and security was good. No bugs, no mice, overall description I would give is "consistently clean and safe". We rented space for five years. Photos are of "move-out" day.
Property Manager named Angel was awesome, very helpful.

The gentleman in the office, DJ, was super helpful as was Jennifer (I think her name was. She was sweeping and when we got into the building, she helped us with the elevator and even went to our 3rd floor unit and made sure we got in okay. Both of them took the time to help us with our first-time at this Public Storage facility. And, the grounds and the building itself were spotless. A very positive experience.
Got checked in to my unit today and needed some assistance. Let me say, I have done Public Storage a few times in my life and never have I ever received the type of exceptional service as I had with DJ today. Kind and courteous doesn’t even begin to describe how amazing DJ was. He went above and beyond assisting me and I couldn’t be more grateful! Thanks DJ!

Wow, what a rip off, I wonder what made them increase the price all the sudden there’s many more comparable stores in the area for better prices then this, why would people want to pay more then they can afford. I’m pretty sure they don’t have business now that is why they are trying to make money out of current customers. How corrupt, also they would bug you with emails with 2-3 weeks prior to your payment even though it is automatically set up with your bank. They hide carts as well which are supposed to be available for use not hidden and their is dumpster but not to throw anything……why would they want to have such thing then…. I gave myself 5 stars to be honest in this dishonest world. When go after hours in dark there’s random people watch you who doesn’t even have anything in that building and they don’t even work their.

The facility is nice, navigating to my storage unit was pretty easy, and Rick at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I had went online and completed the entire process there, but we had a couple questions that Rick answered thoroughly. I have yet to move my stuff into the unit, but I feel that I made the right choice in self-storage facilities.

This fellow Rick came in on a Sunday to complete my contract and was very friendly and knowledgeable.
I just want to say that I have never seen so many good reviews for 1 single person. Jessica, who was the previous property manager, had over 100 excellent reviews from customers that have been lucky enough to receive her wonderful customer service. I was actually giving a "not so good" review from a different property manager, who was there this morning and handled my situation in a very uncaring and unprofessional manner. But...kuddos to Jessica and I hope that she has received a promotion for her wonderful customer service skills! 5 stars on "this specific rating,"...but it is for Jessica...and maybe a very few employees that I've talked with on the phone...but definitely not the property manager who was there this morning (Friday 3/25/22)...who didn't even take any time at all to listen to my situation.

My storage fee was due today. I was told by the unit manager that if it wasn't paid by Midnight tonight that my unit would go into auction. I didn't feel like driving to Missouri to the actual unit. So I went to another location close to my house. I was paying cash. Shawn and his manager went above and beyond helping me find the store number for the James A Reed location. I called the property. No answer. I called the 800 number I was on hold for forever. But these two guys located the store number and I was able to pay my bill. If it wasn't for them my belongings would have been on Storage Wars tomorrow. Thank u again Shawn and your Manager for saving my precious belongings!!!
