Let me start by saying the customer service was outstanding, and if I had to rate that alone, it would be a 5 Star… very helpful and very pleasant. I like the idea of doing everything online, signing a contract, paying, downloading an app, and getting access to my unit without speaking to anyone… Great idea. I signed the contract and paid for a 10 x 20 storage unit so I could store my vehicle. BUT, The actual storage space was only 9‘7“ by 18‘6“. My vehicle did fit with 6 inches to spare front and back. They had another unit available at the time, if I wanted to switch. Hope this information is helpful! Thanks

I do not recommend using Public Storage. I had a horrible experience with customer service and given misinformation. You will spend more than what it’s worth for a storage space. Do yourself a favor and use another storage company. I had an absolute garbage experience with the rental and trying to obtain a refund. Each time I’d call I would get a different answer. They are not helpful and unprofessional. They only care about taking your money.

Liz and Kim have been so kind! I've been with Public Storage for about a year now. I had lost my key and wanted to transition to a larger unit, and it went so seamlessly. They also offer large dolleys free to use as you move your things! Very much recommend this location and company ☺️

First it's overpriced, I've had my unit since 2018. They unilaterally changed my due date to the first of the month. They have increased prices several times. New management removed my Account from from Auto-pay and send me email reminders. I don't have time for this.

Never using this company again. No one is willing to lift a finger to help you. I left an extremely important medical device in my storage unit during the craziness of a move and the way the phone support spoke to me (in addition to not caring in the slightest) when asking how to get in after hours was so insulting I’ll never forget it.

Well managed facility with knowledgeable and helpful staff. (George) is THE man to assist in your storage needs!!

Storage space is fine, location is convenient, and staff were pleasant for the initial walk around and setting up the account. So why 3 stars? The random price hikes that have now lead to the unit being double the price it was a year ago. I could deal with price hikes if they were justified, but instead the company acts like a black box that just spits out bills and works in mysterious ways. If you can deal with a lack of transparency from the company itself, it makes for a fine storage solution. Also, expect to pay double within a years time, and insurance is not included in the quoted price so keep an eye out for that.

Kim is what makes this Public Storage the BEST!!! My girlfriend has a Unit here and every time we come to our storage unit, Kim is always welcoming with a smile. She keeps the property immaculate! He is always making sure everything is working well with our unit. There was one instance where there was another woman there working with Kim, I think she might have been her boss, who was not as pleasant as Kim was. But Kim ALWAYS has been so kind! There was also another young man we have seen there a few times, his name is Jeremy, and he is amazing as well. The free time we have seen him there, he has been EXTREMELY kind and helpful also! Between the two of them they are very happy with Public Storage at Michigan Street and Bumby! Thank you both for all you do to make our time here storing with Public Storage! If you ever have to call Public Storage Customer Service, you cannot say the same for them. When my girlfriend was originally making her reservation, I don’t remember who she spoke to but the person was not knowledgeable at all! Yes you are looking for storage units in a good neighborhood, you should definitely go see Kim at Public Storage on Michigan St

Kim is amazing! I came into the office today unsure of what size unit I would need and Kim walked me around to multiple units and helped me pick the best unit. I was actually surprised at how clean everything was kept at her property. Great customer service skills and an amazing employee! It’s a shame all Public Storage employees are not as kind as Miss Kim is.

The service is excellent, I had problems with my unit size and Jeremy help me to find an additional unit very close one of the other.

Five stars was earned ONLY because Kim went above and beyond to help me and my family in such a difficult time. The store was completely abandoned in the morning apparently due to short staff. After several visits to the store Kim came in for her afternoon shift, she was dealing with highly upset customer and she defused the situation so well and worked with everyone the best she could. OH and side note this was her first day back on the job after some time of leave!!! I don’t know what’s going on with management but I cannot thank Kim enough for her help and understanding.

I used another location before without a problem, so I didn't give 2 thoughts to using this one, figuring I would have a similar experience. I was wrong. They don't use padlocks, so you pretty much have to buy their weird $20 lock. The gate system has issues. Once I had to go in through the exit gate since the entrance gate wouldn't open, and I got yelled at. But my biggest pet peeve is the carts. They keep them locked up, and you have to stop at the office before going to your unit so that you can get the key. This wouldn't be too bad, except for the fact that there is only someone in the office about 50% of the time. I went to Lowes, bought my own hand truck, and came back before the office was opened again. The unit was clean, though.

I have rented a storage space from here in the past and have a current need to do so again. Stopped by and was greeted by Kim and stephanie. Explained to Kim what my needs were, she took me to the unit and decided to proceed with a rental. Stephanie assisted me once i had the app loaded on my phone. Using the app makes payments and access to the facilty so much easier. Both ladies work great together and were very patient during the process. Thanks again.

This storage facility is the biggest RIP-off in the SouthEast Orlando area! They have increased my rental payment 3 times in only 6 months? And I have friends and family members paying LESS for the same 10x10 storage space that I have! And this complete NONSENSE of them giving you the 1st month FREE? That's a JOKE, since after they increase your rate 3 times in less than 6 months, you'll pay for that 'FREE' month and then some more!!! The office staff there are either late, taking breaks, or gone frequently, so if you ever need to use their carts, good luck getting the key from the office? The manager Dani, is one of the rudest persons that I've ever dealt with, and I've asked to speak to the actual property Manager, but she makes sure that I'm never able to communicate with them? So I just called corporate, especially since I cannot get anywhere with Dani. Also, the other girl working in the office named Mariluz, isnt much better than Dani... but shes a heckuva lot more polite. Finally, I still cannot figure out how this Dani girl became a manager? It really makes a person wonder how with her attitude toward customers, that she was ever promoted? And dont believe ANY of the reviews on this property because they're ALL FAKE! DONT RENT HERE.

My two star rating is for the ease of the online reservation and check-in. This particular location however was a complete MESS! The online chrckich rate I was given was not honored at the property, she at first refused to pull up my reservation... Then asked me multiple questions about my needs for a unit and the rates... Then the lock and insurance weren't quotes in the online reservation... Okay, not a big deal. However, she then told me my reservation was locked and she couldn't access it. Be honest, I've worked in sales/commission and I can tell when I'm being played. From the moment I walked in, her intention was to sell me as a walk-in. On the flip side, I was able get a cheaper, larger, climate controlled unit with CubeSmart, 1.5 miles down the road, at a better rate and the customer service was top notch! DONT GO HERE!

Awesome, service at Public Storage! I loved how they took care of me and made sure I needed everything for my storage space! I like Public Storage cuz it's safe it's gated the only way to get in is with a cold or things are saved I'm paying for a 5 by 6 $77 but guess what it's in an air condition unit my stuff doesn't get all hot and moist heat and there's no lizards or spiders in there it's very clean especially the one I got my stuff at

Fees are ridiculous, problems with roaches, and customer service is horrible. Too expensive for a unit that "claims" to be air conditioned, expect for your rental fees to jump substantially at their discretion.

Wow. Haven't had any issues since we started, but today was an eye opener. We arrived at 4:30pm to use the facilities and the provided carts. The carts are locked unless you ask for a key during business hours. So we go to the office and its locked with a will return at 4:50 sign. We wait a few minutes then decided to drive in, but we see someone coming out of the side office door?? So we drive around the facility and ask her how to get a key for the cart. She says sorry I can't I closed at 5. It's 4:40 we say? With an attitude she says no it's policy I closed, we don't let anyone use them after 4:30. She then says that she is the "property manager". No apologies, extremely rude. I can understand if this actually is policy. But she was rude and unapologetic. This was never mentioned previously, and now we're stuck hauling all of our storage by hand into the facilities on the second floor. Absolutely ridiculous. Update: We finished moving our stuff into our storage unit just after 5pm. My wife went back into the office after we were done and found the property manager sitting in the office. She told her that she just wanted to let her know that we finished carrying our stuff up already and could have used the keys and returned them before she left. My wife said she did not appreciate the attitude or customer service and she would be talking to her superior. She sad "that's fine" while smirking, she was still unapologetic, and rude. She then asked my wife for her unit number. My wife said have a good day and walked out. I have never seen such poor customer service in my life. I really hope people see this and decide to take their business elsewhere. Because this place does not deserve it.

Gotta say I was totally blown away by the service I received from Jazmin and Mariluz. To make a long, difficult story short, they took a tough situation and made it as good as it could possibly be. My brother, wife and I appreciated all that they did for us. Thanks girls!

raised rent on unit to almost the same as i paid for unit 4x larger. I pay for an air condoned space, and the AC has not been working last two times i visited . Unit was humid , damp, and hot. badly run facility

There's an employee there named Sasha and let me tell you, she made my moving experience go so much smoother it's unbelievable. Moving is a hassle enough, but finding a place in Orlando that has someone tolerable enough to not want to catch an attitude with or to have the inner urge to throat punch is hard. But Sasha was such a breath of fresh air, she instantly addressed me when I came In with a huge smile that put me at ease, she took the time to show me different units and explained the prices to me without having me wonder what's the catch. Sasha was patient with me as I told her how much space I'd need. She wasn't pushy either trying, to get me to buy a larger unit than what I really needed. Sasha helped me find the right unit that fit my needs and it didn't take forever. Paperwork was quick and I was on my way. I never, and I do mean NEVER leave reviews but you bet after having someone actually take the time to do their job so diligently and with such patience and was amazing oh hell yes I'm leaving a review! Sasha if you ever read this you're wonderful. Please don't ever change, keep treating customers the way you have you're a doll! Thank you for making moving less of a hassle. You're the best and your employer should definitely be proud of you. !!! 5stars and a 10/10 would recommend this place!!!!!!

Open only until 9 pm, no floats after the office closes and dirty! How am I supposed to move stuff after work when the office is closed with no hand truck? I LOVE how I walk past the carts carrying heavy boxes one by one to the second floor. NEVER have I rented from a storage place that locks up the floats like Fort Knox. This place is about what is convenient for the company and not the customers. You only got one month out of me....hasta la vista.

We have two units in this facility and they continue to raise the prices. I went in to check on things and one of the units had no A/C on at all. Hot and humid..... and the other was not much better. It's lacking the climate control that we put our nice things in to avoid damage from the heat and humidity. We have even put our own humidity control bags in each unit but it was miserable in there.

If not so darn convenient I would probably not use this company nor this store. I was very spoiled by the previous owner, they were way more customer friendly and helpful. Clearly this is a "business" but inside a community that probably fills its walls. Might be helpful to put more personable people at the front desk who are willing to assist with making recommendations, providing (correct and consistent) information and estimates to (new) customers. Not sure I have ever witnessed the Twain others are referencing here....he's quite non-personable and not helpful (witnessed a potential new customer attempting to get information for a temporary one month storage solution....she asked him questions, he skirted and gave her indirect and quite different answers to her questions. I literally felt uncomfortable listening to the whole conversation. I promise you, THAT customer will not ever go back there....I surely would not had I been that customer). Rent has also already increased on me and we've only been there since Nov. I moved out of CubeSmart right down the street because they were more expensive. PS, you all really need to not fall in to that $ game or you're going to lose more of us in this community. Last not and i'll quit ranting.....the previous owners kept the interior to the building a lot nicer. Floors were clean, ALWAYS. It always looked new. I watched Twain (sweeping at) the floors up in my part of the building....not sweeping to clean, sweeping like he was meeting an expectation of his job only). The carts have always been too few, and it appears they are using the exact same (3) carts they bought with the building. This is a large facility, why are there no more than 3 carts? RENT is very high here, I would like to be paying for more personable customer friendly and helpful staff, esp in a store manager for gosh sakes, I would like new and more carts, clean up the interior hallways, AND APPRECIATE ME as a customer supporting your business....do NOT treat people like they are bothering you by coming in and asking questions!

I gave this place 5 stars 2 years ago when I first started using it. It has a fine group of people working there. However, they have raised my rate 4 or 5 times in those 2 years. I'm now paying 50% more than when I started. 50% increase in 2 years!! I'm currently stationed in the middle east and there is nothing I can do about it right now but I plan on finding another solution once I get back.

Twain made my experience getting set up such an exceptional one! He was so friendly and helpful. I moved from out of state and was having some trouble reserving the proper storage space while also taking advantage of an online special. However, Twain made everything simple and we even had a great time just chatting as I filled out the initial paperwork. Even if it means driving a few extra minutes, I really recommend storing your things here as I can't imagine anyone more kind or professional than Twain!

A lil backstory I've dealt with public storage on a handful of occasions , it's always been mixed reviews, well it's moving time again and I went to the 2 goldenrod locations the first woman was rude , did not take the time to show us a unit with a reservation @4:40pm (closes@6pm) and basically replied ''that's not happening today'' along with attitude, as a business owner , she is not meant for CustomerCare in my opinion, the second woman was polite enough however it was obvious she was called from the 1st location that I was on my way to the 2nd as she new why I was there, because I addressed my reservation and my wasted trip with the 1st employee politely, she didn't care , so on the 2nd building it needed work and did not seem secure nor did she seem to interested in helping either, as if it was taking time away from whatever she was doing , again she was more polite than the first . All this being said I was pretty much done with this company until a gentleman named Twain at the Michigan St. location. I would say the 3rd try was the charm & final try considering the no less than 13 calls I got from both goldenrod locations in 2 days as if that would even be a option after the treatment we received. However the silver lining.....,Twain Twain is the reason I am giving 5 stars , and ONLY reason , he was helpful , professional, and courteous. He actually took the time to show us units , explain every detail to us and was pleasant the whole time in spite of getting pretty busy while we were there we never felt as we were not important. I personally feel there are other employees of public storage company that could learn a lot from Twain. He is knowledgeable of his job and cares which is exactly what I want if I'm going to be storing all my possessions somewhere.I want to feel comfortable in knowing it's safe , secure and the people there care . Twain met all those needs. I can honestly say I was truly impressed in how he handled the whole situation with addressing our questions being attentive and getting us through the process properly and quickly while he got a small rush in customers . I don't know if the higher ups actually read these reviews, if so... Twain is someone you want to hold onto and keep a eye on , he is a great employee with Aton of potential and brought my business back to your company single handily. He made the best of a bad situation we were promised particular pricing , didn't happen but at that point it didn't matter as Twain did the best he could with accommodating us the best he could . That speaks volume as I don't typically give a place multiple chances as again I understand what it takes having a successful business for 6 years . Your clientele is everything and should be valued . TWAIN was spot on , cordial, and all around just great at what he does which I have no doubt would apply to anything he decided to do , he would be someone I would hire in a heartbeat as I can see he is talented and cares about what he is involved with . I apologize this is lengthy , but I wanted to share my full experience to anyone looking for storage do yourself a favor , even if it's a bit out of your way , go to the Michigan location and go see Twain if you want a pleasant experience and feel good about your transaction. Twain if you read this , sincerely thank you for being on your game and treating us well. You are very appreciated sir. Thank you !

My climate-controlled unit on the first has been dripping water (heavy rains) from the ceiling to my knowledge for the past 3 days; although the problem was reported by others a week ago. I have been reporting the ongoing problem daily and inquiring about the damage to my property, and requesting help from the gentleman working there, and nothing has been done to clean the unit or stop the leak. I am unable to empty the heavy bins filled with water and my books. However today I have been charged another $200+ and told I could move all my stuff to an outside unit and be charged another $132. If only I could lift all my furniture and belongings in the heat and could afford that inconvenience this fourth of July weekend.

Went to start using my new unit yesterday, 6/9/16 only to find a very shady looking person sitting in a folding chair, sideways with back against door track, half in and half out of the unit hitting a pipe which he quickly hid under his leg when I stopped to get to the elevator. I looked in the elevator room 1 door for the moving cart, not there, and decided I wouldn't leave my car next to this guy or load and unload in front of him, especially being a single female with a 10 year old daughter. I went to the front office at 5:50 p.m. to inquire what the cameras show on the property because i only see one on the way out the gate. The admin person, name unknown as I didn't ask, said he sees "pretty much everything".....well, he didn't see or know of the dude hanging out in the unit, and he didn't see me do illegal turn on the property when I realized there were only elevators on one side of property look for another elevator! He made no effort to check the situation out before I left, didn't even ask me for good details of where the guy's unit was so if he did go look, the guy probably shut the door for a bit or left knowing I was going up front to report him. He had no car, just hanging out in his unit chiefin it up.

I needed a short term storage unit for three months. The person renting me a unit was disorganized and it took more than 2 hours to process the paperwork for the rental. She added things to the bill that I didn't ask for and she didn't inform me that they were on there. (I reviewed carefully and found them.) I have been out of my unit for 2 months now and have realized that she also lied to me. She said I would get a prorated portion of my monthly rent back when I closed the account. This is not true. I would recommend finding another company that is more organized and transparent for your storage needs.
