They misled me about the size of the unit before I signed the contract, and now they refuse to return my money.
Description was “a small unit can hold contents of one small room or a large closet, such as chairs, small desks or bookcases”.
After signing, they provided me with a unit that is 3-4 feet high, located above a regular unit. Accessing this unit requires rolling over a large ladder, which was also not mentioned in the description.

Let the record show, Ryan is AWESOME. I wish I had been able to communicate with him for the 4-year span that I had my unit. He will look out for you and his presence really could've help my overall experience with this facility.
In the past with this storage unit though, I had my unit broken into multiple times. Both times I was told there was "no footage" of a break-in despite there being cameras at both ends of the hallway between my former unit. Half of my unit had been stolen with large items that were taken that could not be missed on a camera. So, take that into consideration when choosing this location.
Additionally if you are unable to come to the unit in person or don't have someone you can authorize to come to the unit when a break-in occurs-- the facility is NOT able to doing ANYTHING as far assisting you with assessing the break-in outside of putting a temporary lock on the unit. For someone like me who works on the road and travels a lot for work, this was a nightmare as they will NOT work with you.

My favorite feature is the online system.
I have had repetitive issues with payment plans for this company. I set up automatic payments. I've checked my account numbers multiple times. Continuously have issues with the auto pay. Continuously. Have issues with being contacted back. Sometimes it takes a 24 hours and customer service is useless. Because of this issue. Now I cannot make any payments with my card at all through online and I am being told I have to go in person to pay in cash. Why? I'm not sure. Now I am incurring late fees everyday because of these issues that are consistently happening.
I thought they were offering online payments but every time I've tried I've had issues and now I'm being forced to pay with cash and that's an issue for me when I do not live in the state and I put myself in storage while I'm out of town.
I would not recommend anyone renting from the storage unit because the management needs to work. Websites for the accounts need work. The customer service needs work. rent at your own risk

Very unprofessional doesn’t like answering calls the other day I drove an hour to go to my storage to pay for a replacement lock I kept calling because the doors were lock no one was answering the phones I waited for 2 hours for someone to give me a call back it is now the next day still never received a call back from Anyone will not be renting after this month I just need to get my items out

For those who have accounts with PS or any storage facilities, be careful when you open the gate. There are those waiting for someone to open the gate, and they follow you in. They also pretend to get in the building but do not have the code, so they ask you to open it. DONT. Let them open. If they can't open, that means they have no code and have bad intentions.
Watch you rent go up and up and up.
Awful experience I had at this location, they raised my rent without notice and now they are holding me here for another month. It seems like they only want you to move when it's convenient to them. I'll take my property somewhere else. This is totally not cool.

Won’t ever be using this location or company again. They will charge you a full rate despite vacating your unit if you don’t properly “close out and cancel” your services. So be sure to read ALLLLLL the paper work otherwise customer service (Denise) won’t help you resolve your situation.

I had an issue with billing - I spoke with Terrell a couple if times - he was great. Very profession - informed - nice guy:) - great customer service - all the reasons I choose to stay loyal to any business -
In todays world -prices are generally competitive- So customer service is always the great differentiator - Terrell gave me all the steps to fix the issue as well as made sure I called the correct phone number to process the payment without penalty. I’m Very happy that a company as “corporate” as Public Storage- has someone like Terrell working for them- I felt like I was dealing with a small local business as opposed to a large corp.

This was my first time needing a storage facility and seriously - what a pain. I only needed a couple of months and people deal with it on the daily. Security is the trade off for a slow, complicated mess of codes and locks on every entrance including the elevator. Ivania and Oscar were actual angels, walking me through the app process (change location/bluetooth settings and life magically got easier), helping deal with renters' messes, and pointing out short cuts through the building. Generally being good people managing a stressful situation.
Just to make the whole scene even more difficult, there are two Public Storages on Raymer St. I feel like I heard them answer calls with, "no, this is the 12610 Public Storage about 25 times.
It's clean. Not many electric outlets for phone charging but a bunch of carts to use that get snatched up fast on the weekends.
