Culver City Climate Controlled Storage South of the 10 Freeway
Storage units in Culver City are located near the 10 freeway at Jefferson Boulevard. Indoor storage units, climate controlled storage units, and outdoor units with drive-up access are on-site in a wide range of sizes. Just look for our Public Storage Orange rollup doors for plentiful self storage close to West Adams, Baldwin Hills and downtown Culver City.
Our storage facility is less than a mile from the Helms Bakery Building, which harkens back to a beloved Los Angeles institution. When it was an actual bakery, the distinctive Helms Bakery trucks roamed residential streets all over Southern California with long pullout drawers filled with every kind of baked good. Helms made the official bread of the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and not long before it closed for good, the bakery provided the bread for the Apollo 11 space mission. After the building was purchased in 1972, the fleet of trucks was sold off, mostly to hippies who painted them in swirls of color. While the new owners retained the cherished signage on top of the building, sadly those doughnuts, breads and cookies are now just a memory.

Jasmine and the staff here made the move in and the move out completely pain-free. Would highly recommend this location.
Jasmaine is very helpful everytime I arrive! Keep up the great customer service!
First of all you can barely get anyone on the phone or find anyone in the office because they are rarely in there. Then every month that I've had the storage unit I was past due on the rent because of the fact that someone else was paying for it due to me and my small family being homeless and money having to go to other costs, but I have always been able to access it throughout the month and would lose access at the end of the month because that's when they wanted to start throwing on lien fees and everything and would cut the lock in the middle of the following month. So this month I show up and yes I am past due but was told and received the email that stated the rent needs to be paid by the 30th of this month to make sure everything would be okay but it never said that my code would be disabled if it wasn't paid between the 1st and the 11th. This is the first time this has happened just like their price hike that they did this month. I have never had so many problems with a storage company before and I have dealt with many in my life and they would give you time to pay instead of disabling anything without notice and without trying to auction your items off the next month. I will never return to this public storage ever again. Jasmine was of no help either she didn't seem like she even cared or could explain how this month it's different than all the other months that I've been there.

Reserved a unit online, but the system wasn't able to complete the rental. Luckily Ashley was on site to help finalize the rental and get me moved in. I rented a storage unit for less than a month, warned the managers in advance that I would be moving out, I paid for the first month for $300+, then they charged me another $663, in the end they returned 522, but withheld 140 without explaining the reason. I tried to resolve the issue with the manager online chat, they said “you didn’t warn about leaving”, look at the cameras, I went every day for a week and said that I was moving out (more than a week before leaving), in the end they told me “everything is fine, u can go”. as a result, I never received a receipt for what I paid this money for

They raised my rent from $229 to $329 within 6 months of moving in. They said it was the regular six month increase. 40% increase in 6 months!
They raised the rent of the unit by double from $300 to $650 in two months! They have you sign an application that allows them to raise the rate over 50% from your starting rate. They cannot be trusted. This is a corrupt company. Do not bring your things here.

I am quite happy! The store manager Jasmaine was so helpful. She made it so easy to get my account setup online! She answered all questions in a manner that I could understand. She showed me how things are done to enter the building. She made me feel special! I am glad I picked Public Storage.

We came into our public storage facility with questions regarding a rate increase on our monthly rent. Eriel a very nice employee greeted us with a smile and asked how she could assist us. Showed up to move early morning 8 am. My code was disabled. I had 4 movers and a truck ready to go. Access denied. Waited on line for customer service 29 minutes then they told me they couldn’t do anything till office in site opened at 9:30. Called a different store and was connected to a district supervisor and she verified that the code had been disabled because I said I was moving out on that day. She turned it back on and I used elevator and moved out. It cost me $150 for the hour to pay movers. Supervisor said she would request a refund.
Since then RUN around. Blaming me for punching in wrong code, or I got off on wrong floor. One can’t get on elevator without code. Another woman used elevator to move but she was on different floor so we couldn’t get to when on site lady arrived, she said I was using wrong elevator. NO. And others were using same Elevator that morning. Very frustrating. Mistakes happen but don’t Blame Me. Refund me the $150 and I will take down review.

I want to tell you that all these years I have been coming to Public Storage, Jasmine has been professional all the time. She doesn’t go out of her way personally, she’s just right. Jasmine is very helpful, kind, and intelligent. I hope you promote her or at least buy her Starbucks on a weekly basis. Just having her in the office gives me a sense of safety and security. She always gives me a smile and has a friendly attitude. You are lucky to have her, and I’m blessed to run into her while I have to keep coming back and forth with my stuff.

I have had my storage for little over a year. I had trouble with my move out due to contracting covid. I called the national line and they said I had to handle it in-person. Larissa, the relief manager was so helpful. Moving is already so stressful and she provided as much help as possible to ensure my move went smooth. Would definitely use this location again!
