UPDATE 2: Today, the day after after I posted the first update, I was hit with a 31% rent increase. I'm sure it's just a coincidence. This is the second huge rent increase in 9 months. *** Mouse infested facility with comical levels of security. I returned to my space after less than a month to discover mouse droppings everywhere, chewed up boxes and bags, items displaced, and other evidence of tampering. I also found odd orange paint chips on the ground and I caught two mice exiting through a hole under the wall between my unit and the unit on the opposite side. My car is under a cover and I didn't have time to investigate fully, but so far the damage is minor (though my keys may be missing) I'll know more tomorrow. I went to Home Depot and returned with $20 worth o glue traps and rodent repellent sprays. I shouldn't have to be doing this given the price of the unit and the rent increase after only 3 months--especially not at my own expense. To make matters much worse, the unit isn't secure. At all. There is flimsy foam board on 2 sides held on by a few tiny screws. You can easily punch through it if you didn't want to take the time to remove the little screws. In fact it's already compromised with holes, including a literal peep hole I had to cover up. No need to break your lock, all someone has to do to steal all your stuff is enter from the unlocked adjacent unit. The old, beat up foam board offers zero protection. The whole setup is laughable. This has to be the worst unit imaginable. I'm going to get out of there asap. Lot of these reviews have to be fake. There are mentions of mice and rats months ago, yet evidently the problem hasn't been resolved. You should at least be able to count on proper security and pest control at a Public Storage. UPDATE: Lo and behold, today I found two dead mice in one of the glue traps. What first attracted them seems to have been a small bag of condiments that was actually inside another paper bag with some cups and napkins--amazing. I disposed of the mice and plugged the large hole they came through and a couple other holes with steel wool. I sprayed disinfectant and rodent repellent everywhere, and removed all remnants of what they had gotten into. Threw away anything they might have touched. Hopefully that stops the little bastards for a while. I also discovered one of the drywall boards was barely even attached from the other side. It would have been so easy for someone to remove that (or any other) section from their end, enter my space, and simply reposition the board. As I said the boards are useless. They're crumbling and can be removed in literally one minute. I had previously noted things had been disturbed, but dismissed it, but now it seems like a real possibility. Tomorrow I will return to inventory everything and determine if anything is missing or damaged. When I rented a space from Public Storage, I didn't expect to be fighting mice and risking my belongings. I will update this review with my determination and the response from management/Public Storage.

Units are old, dusty and hot - elevators were often out of service, trash in the halls, random leaks when it rains. No bathrooms available. The app rarely works to open the gates, but manual entry was fine. No in-person help, the only option is to video chat with a kiosk. Employees definitely smoke cigarettes inside, so the kiosk area smells terrible.

There are rarely any carts available. The whole facility maybe has 2-3 carts and they are not easy to find. You have to search the whole facility. The elevator was also broken at my move out.

Trash, my start date is Sep 1. The elevator was out of order. Contacted customer service so many times, still broken on my move date Sep 21

Elevator is out of order , I was given a 2nd floor , when requested about this, customer service is asking to pay more money instead of fixing the issue after paying a lot of money at this property. I have to spent extra money even the property Elevator doesn’t work. Worst place to place your luggage.

Terrible management, no person is available on site, they do not answer return phone calls ever, the light is still broken in my unit, there’s repeat mouse infestations, and management took away the dumpster that used to be here and now trash is building up, thus attracting more mice. And ditto with the fake reviews. There is no staff on site, and only very rarely a cleaning person.

MICE DROPPINGS!! :( For the first few years, this storage space was wonderful. In 2021, I began renting a space here. All was quite smooth. Now, almost three years later, 1) the rent has tripled, and 2) I just found mice droppings!!! They're just inside my door, not hidden inside (I hope!!). The unit across from mine was wide open and empty. I'm guessing it came from them. I will call the office now to remedy this. If they do not, I am moving out immediately and definitely telling everyone I know not to rent here. (I have a large family and circle of friends in the area and lots of ppl use storage here.) Not only do rodents spread deadly diseases, it's just disgusting. I never saw anything like this in previous years. None of my family/friends have said they've ever seen rodents at their storage facilities in the area. The rent issue: they've had about 2 nearly back-to-back, large rent increases in the last few months. That plus the mice... Something is off.

There are obviously a lot of fake reviews on this location saying “good location, secure, clean” Those are not true! More than likely incentivized in some way. I have had a unit here for a long while and finally moved my stuff to another Public Storage facility. There used to be a person on site to help with issues, but they are never there and management do not return calls. Inside the units, they are separated by a thin piece of dry wall. The unit beside me moved in a desk and knocked in a big chunk of the drywall to my side. I called over 6 different times and left voice mails about this and no one ever answered or returned my calls. Your belongings will ABSOLUTELY mildew in these units if they are the inside ones. The temperature fluctuates from incredibly hot to very cold. The units are not advertised as climate controlled, but note, your electronics and such probably wouldn’t do well in the units. The whole inside of the facility is pungent with mildew. The locks they give you are circular, and they don’t work very well. I find myself finagling the keys in the lock and hoping it opens. They leave the main gate open for some reason during the work day so anyone can get into the storage area, and with how flimsy the units are, it would be easy to take people’s valuables. Pros: the location is a decent one overall. The price is relatively cheap, however I would rather pay just a little more for a better maintained building elsewhere. There are little carts you can use to help with your moving… if they are in your building (I have had to find them in other ones often times)

my first time using public storage.. it s#%ks.. the manager working their has nothing to do with his job. dont care for customers, dont give a crqp about anything basically. i waited to get an email for the gate access code for 3hrs. then the code wont work at the gate. called them 4 times to reset it and then the manager said , please come to the office which is q mile from the storage to get a nee code. ahh what? its a 6 digit code, you need my kidney for that? wasted 1more hour to try to fix it with customer service, and paid extra to my contractors for waiting. worst storage experience.. i would now rather rent a uhaul one way and you will get a free storage with it.

This is the lesser of the three in the immediate area. No staffed office hours, long waits for someone to come from the other nearby location, unsealed concrete dusty, dirty floors and cheap drywall or plywood interior walls and doors, with narrow access. More expensive units up closer to Mosaic (on Lee Hwy) have superior garage type doors even on smallest inside units. But it was cheap and that's what I need for very short term use.

I have been renting from this location for several years and I'm very happy with the Management by Luis and Juanita. They are very professional, courteous, knowledgeable and respectful. They keep the property very clean and relate to the customers like family. This location is one of the best managed! You will not regret renting from this location.
