So far my experience has been fantastic! This is my first Storage and Melissa was kind and patient enough to explain to me the terms and conditions of renting a storage space. I’m so thankful you have a wonderful employee working there. The storage facility is well keep, secure and clean. I moved from a 10x15 unit into a larger 10x20 unit the next day because I needed more space. I would say the only negative to renting a storage with multiple levels is you have to punch in your code to enter the building and punch in the code again to enter the elevator. Doesn’t seem like a difficult task but when you have to do it dozens of times as you offload your truck you’ll realize how arduous it is lol

Let me first start off by saying that I’ve been having the most terrible year - like a lot of us are- believe it or not some of us are seeing some good out of it. Unfortunately I’m one of the ones that have been the complete opposite. Having to move all your belongings into a place you know nothing about and worried about scams and contracts that try to trap you amongst just trying to figure this all out within just a couple of days is beyond stressful. From talking to Normani over the phone briefly and to stumbling in miserably to Jeannette meet me at the front door with a smile on her face was all I needed to feel safe and at ease about this place ! Jeanette went UP AND BEYOND from greeting me- accommodating me- showing me units & just being herself which is amazing down to really knowing how to communicate. She’s wise and understanding and she made me laugh even though laughing was probably the last thing on my mind. She went slowly over the each page of the contract - repeated herself multiple times so that I felt comfortable about the lease and made me copies of everything. Seriously ? You really don’t find customer service like that just anywhere-which sounds bad but it’s sadly the truth ! Anyways I’m excited to move my things in and am confident that this is a safe spot and storage company ! Oh also - month to month and no penalty to leave whenever you’re ready with some weeks notice of course- but TAHH how simple and easy?! So google wont let me post another review since I've already posted one??? BUT I want to add in that MELISSA the property manager has went up and beyond for me when the transition happened and until this day. She just always is calm and willing to explain or help where she can. Me being out of state it can be difficult handling things with my storage but she always understands and helps where she can. THANK YOY MELISSA!! :)

Don't know why PUBLIC storage is leaving the grewt reviews for EXTRA SPACE STORAGE on their web page. As if taking credit for what extra space employees have achieved. Because I WILL CLEARLY STATE THAT WHEN PINLIC STORAGE TOOK OVER THIS LOCATION ON VISTA DEL NORTE THEIR OFFICE MGMT AS WELL AS CORPORATE COMPLETELY FAILED EVERY PART OF WHAT CUSTONER SERVICE STANDS FOR!!! THEY AUCTIONED 2 OF MY UNITS WITHOUT PROPER NOTIFICATION. RAISED MY RENT OVER $100 AND TOOK AWAY MY RIGHT AS A TENANT TO HAVE 24HR ACCESS WHICH WAS MY agreement with extra space. I WILL NEVER TRUST PUBLIC STORAGE WITH ANY OF MY VALUABLES NOT EVEN THE WASTE THAT COMES OUT OF MY BEHIND.

Elevators are in poor working condition. There were cockroaches in some units. The temperature controlled environment is not very well controlled, and the staff touched my daughters hair after picking up a dead cockroach. Not a good experience at all. I won't be using this facility again.

had the worst morning so far and already tried two storage units that were CRAZY expensive, was driving by public storage going onto wurzbach parkway and Melissa helped and made my day slot better for the time being. She not only explained everything perfectly so i could understand she also helped us chose our unit and even took the time to show us a few units till we found the right size. After we chose a unit she helped get us a great deal and even told us of a promotion going on that qualifies us. I had to go into the office at the new public storage. Melissa was a great help and took care of all my issues. It was a hassle free experience, and she showed me that they truly do value me as a customer. A lot times when a new company takes ownership of a business it can be a hassle getting everything switched over. Thanks to Melissa that did not happen, and I am glad I chose to stay with the new company.

Not satisfied at all! No one has called me back they switched over storages companies. Customer service is not like it was before left 3 messages not anyone called me back. They also tried to up my price without my knowledge. Very disappointed how iam being treated hopefully I get a call or explanation with what is going on with my unit. thank you

This facility earned its 5-star rating when it was owned by Extra Space Storage. It came under new ownership at the beginning of this month, and my monthly rent abruptly increased from $60 to $72 with no justification. I have contacted Public Storage twice via the company’s website and left two voicemails with the facility, but all of my communications have been ignored. The unfamiliar voice on the answering machine and the complete absence of customer service lead me to believe that the employee who was the sole reason for many of the previous positive reviews no longer works there. If fair pricing and responsiveness are important to you, I advise you to look elsewhere.

My $46 small 5x5 went to $68 when they sold to Public storage. A bit ridiculous for a small storage unit to be almost $70. Would not recommend this place you can find cheaper elsewhere. Your contract went out the door with the previous company. Our recurring payments stopped when the building was bought by public storage so if you have a recurring payment you might want to make sure to RESET one up since it is no longer valid. That literally defeats the purpose of a recurring payment to keep having to set one up.

I need a storage unit and Mrs. Trevino was awesome in helping out. Showed all the units available, offered water and let you know everything that you needed to and they also do military discounts.

I just signed up with this place and so far everything seems great. The place is VERY clean and organized, the storage space variety is good and I found one that'll suit my needs very well. Furthermore, Jeanette was super helpful. She walked me through 4-5 different storage spaces so I could get a better idea of how the space worked in relation to what I was storing and she was really nice and friendly too. Signing up was super fast; between the walking around looking at space and signing up for a space I was there for less than 20 minutes which was really nice too. So far, very happy with the experience here.

The manager, Jeanette, was simply amazing to work with. One thing I usually dislike about storage units is how they try to upsell but Jeanette just listens to your needs and finds the best solution. This place is outstanding, both in terms of the physical facility and the people who work here. We had to move my nephew’s goods into storage quickly when he passed away from Covid. This facility is across the road from his apartment complex. The online reservation and payment system was a breeze. The access controls are first rate and the storage unit was spotless. The staff offered me water bottles while working in the Texas heat to move stuff on my own. In the midst of a tragic family event it is delightful to find a business with such high quality and care for its customers.

I had moved from dfw and arrived after hours. Jeanette was so helpful and considerate. She walked me through the process and got me in and unloaded remotely. I was so grateful for the great level of service.

Manager is extremely rude. I went to check my unit after a mom in an online group complaint of roaches. I didn’t have roaches prior to moving in this unit and now I do. After I brought it up to the manager I got a rent increase notice in the mail. I am extremely disappointed by the unprofessional service at this location.

I wrote a pretty positive review. But upon reading their fine print on late fees. This company is by far the worst in the city. Their fees are nuts and kick in only 5 days late (20% on 270$ is 54$ extra). Even apartments aren’t this bad. They also lock you out of all your units even if only one is late... To be fair to them, they do have all this in their contract so it’s not a secret.. just unfortunate they are the only company in the city like this

It's a nice, clean place. I didn't interact with anyone in the office so I can't comment on that. The online rental process was quick and easy. They provide a kock for you which i haven't seen a lot of in the past. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 star is I didn't realize 1st floor would still require elevator use. So, if you want "ground floor" it will actually be the 2nd floor. It may have stated that deeper in the details and I just failed to read them but it wasn't obvious that 1st floor wasn't ground floor. All in all, a nice place and I'm happy with the place.

I’m truly grateful for the staff here at Extra Space. As a young entrepreneur and college student, I must say that I pray to run into good people like this. I was in pretty tough spot financially when I moved into a unit at Extra Space. Not only did I receive a a great deal, but I was greeted by a wonderful staff that stayed open while I transferred my belongings from Houston. I ended up arriving late, and the staff member waited patiently while I ran to get cash because my card wasn’t working. My rough financial situation quickly turned into me not being able to pay at all. I was notified several times, and they communicated with me through the entire experience. Fortunately, they let me off the hook for $200. Now, I am able to have access to my books (I’ve invested thousands of dollars into my book collection ) and continue to use them in my business endeavors and scholastic pursuits. Thank you so much Extra Space on Wurzbach. I highly recommend that anyone looking for a storage unit to come here for the best service.

There really is nothing bad to say about this place! Your unique pin is required at every entry point on the property, making it super secure. Between that, super helpful and friendly staff (Jeannette is great!), having access to the unit a few extra hours in the evening, use of carts for moving, and water in the lobby during open office hours it’s a very convenient and safe place to store your belongings. I would definitely recommend to others!

At the location on Vista del Norte,you will find their management team to be the most helpful and caring in the industry. I needed to find a storage facility close to home so that I could store my mom’s things. I unexpectedly lost my father in November and have moved my mother across the stats to live with me. This process is difficult and I appreciated the professionalism of the staff in helping me secure the unit and then assisting with access. The facility is clean and has 24/7 security.
