Two years ago I posted a good review for Public Storage, Lake Wylie. I meant every word.
However, here we are two years later and my opinion has totally changed.
We have been at the same location for almost 13 years. (climate controlled unit) When Public Storage bought it from Kodiak, they started going up on our rent every six or so months.
About six months ago, we moved into a smaller climate controlled unit for $196.00 per month. On August 1st, it will increase by more than $50.00 per month. That's a big enough problem but the air conditioner was out for about two months while everyone in our hallway continued to pay for a climate controlled unit.
I am so tired of this and am now looking for movers to move us off the property and to a newer facility for much less money per month.

Great Experience! Originally call the number and got someone in another country, but when the local place called me back about my reservation they were awesome! Don't trust the central booking, they don't know anything about the local locations. I needed a 10ft door to store my boat but it was only 7f-8ft. Central booking told me 10ft, so we got it all resolved.

I have rented a climate controlled 10'x15' space at the Public storage location in Lake Wylie,SC 29710 for 9 yrs. I will say in all honesty that Amanda the current manager is the only person I have every had contact with in all these years with this company that helped me with anything. Amanda is definitely the Go-To Person when you need complete honest and accurate information. She has always been so helpful to me and informative. Amanda is what I call, someone who will do all that she can, while retaining Integrity at all times, and remaining courteous always. Ms. Patricia is very kind, sweet, and relatable, which goes such a long way.
The prices are a bit on the outrageous side, especially with the continuous rate increase (Due to the Location) which is what I'm told by corporate. However, when it comes to courtesy and customer service, this location definitely tops all the other Public Storage locations that I've used in the past.
