I had a space here for about 1 year in total. There weren’t many issues but in that time my rent was increased twice. It jumped by $20 the 2nd time. Felt like it would just keep increasing for no good reason. Found cheaper in the same area

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I rented a space starting in March. In July I was notified my rent was going to go up an astronomical amount and the property manager Brandy at the time was notified by me and was “looking into it.” After around 2 weeks of hearing nothing, I was slapped with late fee making my July amount a grand total of $241.00. I paid the amount and continued for Brandy to “looking into it.” July 9th, I came to the unit to check on things as it contains items for a house I have been planning to move into. When I tried to open the door, I was met with a broken spring, broken door and no one at the property to help me get the door closed or what to do. Since July 9th, I have not been able to access my unit, have been told I would be receiving a credit for the month of July (which continues to be a lie or an untruth), been told the vendor doesn’t have “the part” which is just a spring, been told they have no kids who the vendor is, when they will return to fix the door and today. I have a new balance of $181.81 and no access again to my unit. My account now says my unit is going to auction, when I paid the amount for the month of July and August is far from due. Worst experience I’ve ever had, lack or no communication, a broken door now going on most of July, and an incompetent property manager that likes to shove me off as a problem. DO NOT RENT HERE.

Appreciate the clear communication and respect that I’ve received from public storage and its staff! Aden reached out and answered any questions I had quickly and efficiently.
When I was renting a space from there, everything went smoothly. The problem started when I moved out. I scheduled the moveout online. Got all my items out a few days before the last day of the month I was paid up. I get a call the last day saying I left trash in the unit and I needed to clean it up. Inside the unit, there was a tape lined box labeled "trash" so I left some trash there. The manager said that tape was put there by the previous tenant and I cannot leave trash there. I told her she should have removed the TRASH markings. I argued with her for some time about the situation, but she was not willing to accept her mistake. I was out of town, but I had a friend come and clean the unit out about 1 hour after the phone call. I thought we were good. A week later I received a bill for another months rent. I ignored it, thinking it was a mistake. But then another week or 2 later I got another bill. So I called and told them I had cleaned the unit out as requested. I even sent them a picture. They basically called me a liar and said that 3 of their employees stated it was not cleaned out. I sent them a picture of it clean. They said they would look into it. Got another bill. So I called corporate and spoke with them, telling the same story. They said they would handle it. Still getting bills. They called me AGAIN, and told me I have a past due. I told them AGAIN its been cleaned out, and to actually go out there and check. (which I know they have not, otherwise they would see its cleaned) They said "if you left your lock on the unit, we cant access the unit to check" which tells me they have not actually checked to see if I cleaned the unit out because I did in fact remove the lock on May 28th. They have had 23 days to check but never actually have. They are the most lazy, incompetent, ignorant business people I have ever dealt with. I have included pictures of the before and after, taken May 31st (day before my paid month of storage is ended) You can CLEARLY see the words "TRASH" with an OBVIOUS space to put said trash. If TRASH is not allowed in the unit, then they should remove the TRASH wording and tape from the floor.

I have rented A space from public storage for years & still do to this present day, & I can honestly say that I'm over pleased with the service & the people that works there especially Aden who works at the Mt. Carmel Tabasco Rd location, this guy is one of the greatest human beings on planet earth & he helped me out of A situation that I had no way of getting out of except for prayer in which I did several times in the situation that I was in because that was all I could possibly do at that point, because of the specific type of situation that I was in, I had literally been on A time limit for about 24 hours or so to get the situation completely taken care of, I had run out of options & that caused me to lose sleep the night before & I started to feel down & hopeless & was just ready to face the reality that there was nothing left that I could possibly do & that I was just going to have to deal with the situation as painful as it was & going to be, I had no choice but to deal with the reality of it, so I had only A couple of hours left to get the situation taken care of, but by that time I had already accepted it & was already mentally & spiritually dealing with it internally & had accepted it, well I called public storage & talked to Aden & explained my situation to him & he genuinely listened to me & genuinely showed concern & compassion about it & also told me multiple times that he was sorry that I was in the situation that I was in & going through what I was going through & that he really wish there was something that he could do to help & I told him thanks for even listening & caring cause A lot of people in this world these days don't care about what someone else is going through, & I don't usually talk to people about my problems or anything I'm going through cause I normally just keep it to myself & just deal with it, well about 45 minutes to an hour after I got off the phone with Aden, someone called me & it was A women name Laura & she explained to me that she was calling me because Aden had told her about my situation & that she was going to help me, at first I didn't believe it & didn't think that it was real because I had less than an hour left for my situation to be taken care of, well she really did help me & my situation got taken care of & I couldn't believe it, but I prayed about it & I called & talked to an angel, & that angel talked to & sent another angel that he knew could help me relieve my mind & spirit from what I was going through, this is 100% real & it actually happened & this is exactly how it played out & this is my honest testimony on their behalf, so if anyone reads this & is considering renting A space from public storage Mt. When I rented a unit someone from Public Storage called me to offer me a low monthly rate. When I contacted PS about renting, I was offered a lower rate. I specifically asked if this rate would stay the same and was not some “introductory rate” and was told it would not, that my rental would be $110. In one month they have increased my rent from the rate of $110 to $162 which is almost 50% higher. That’s extortion. I would expect a slight increase of maybe 5-10% over time but have only had the unit for a few months. A 50% increase is extortion.

I have rented 3 units at this facility for almost 20 years now. The property is always clean and Brandi takes care of me. She knows all of her 700 customers by name and makes sure everyone walks out of her office with a smile. I highly recommend this Public Storage and Brandi. I wouldn't go anywhere else! She always keeps me updated on any changes cost and rent request.

On my 1st day, I discovered that the remote access into the facility was not working. Then, I discovered that there was no light bulb in the unit or pull string to turn it on. I checked with the office and they did not have either in stock. So, I purchased and installed both. The remote access also did not work when I exited. Initially, I was informed that it was due to the extreme cold weather. When I returned on a day when the weather was 70 degrees fahrenheit, I was informed that the problem is systemic and that there was no ETA for when it may be repaired. What happened to customer care?

The staff here has always been nice, no complaints there. I have had a large 10 by 30 unit at this location for about 5 years. Every few months they have hiked the prices. Currently I am at $412 a month but just received an email that starting in February my new total will be $535. Just ridiculous. This is a regular outside unit with no lighting or climate control. $535! There are no cameras here and the gate is open most of the time. Just be aware that this is the business model if you are a long time customer. They will consistently raise rates to the point you cannot afford to stay. Just for reference most of their competition is at about $200 for the same sized unit. Just super disappointed with a company who takes advantage of their longtime customers and as you read the reviews, you can see this is consistent with them.

The doors on the units could use a little work but other than that, a good cheap storage place. EDIT - it doubled in price in 1 year. Store your stuff elsewhere. EDIT 2 - the gate has been opened for 6 months and when you ask about it you get rudely told that it's an ongoing IT issue. For 6 months.

Very rude lady that works there, inconsistent price rates, mold from water getting in the units, no cameras, and they keep the front gate open 24/7, so anybody can get in and steal whatever they want. I do not recommend this location!!!

Terrible experience here. I am currently renting spaces but will move out as quickly as possible. Just received my 5th notice for rate increase in last year. Price for one unit has moved from $180 to $310 per month. Other spot has moved the same. Their business model is to get you in then quickly elevate prices once you’ve moved in your stuff. The security is also questionable. Each time I’ve been in recently there is a car randomly parked in the middle of the aisle, and multiple times I’ve found small toys or food on my trailer from people or kids playing. Lights don’t work in my unit despite me bringing this up a few times.
Find somewhere else. There are better options. They may start off more expensive but you’ll pay less over time and you’ll have a better experience.
I was a customer for over 10 years and finally had enough of paying high rental prices and went in to go through my unit. I realized almost every box that was left was gone through and items were stolen. I got behind on my rent and they were going to put it up for auction but I paid it not knowing they already went through my unit and took basically what they wanted . When I told the girl at that front office she said there's nothing they can do and I should've had rental insurance to cover theft as they weren't liable. I mean I was in complete shock that it wasn't nothing to them. I was under the impression my belongings would be SAFE FROM THEFT BUT I WAS WRONG!!! Then I moved out almost what was left out and they still sent me a email stating they were going to auction what was left and claimed I owed them almost 900$ !!! RENTERS BEWARE!!! UNLESS YOU HAVE A RENTERS INSURANCE YOU'RE NOT SAFE!!!

I can't open the door to my storage room. I have been in contact with them several times during the last three months and I still cannot get access to my property.
It’s not often I take the time to give a review. However, I am at my wits end with this place! Very disorganized staff and after being LOCKED IN the facility last night for over an hour with my son, because my code failed to work is very upsetting, thankfully someone came through and opened the gate and we were able to get out! I called their number when we were locked-in hoping someone could open the gate to let us out with no luck. It should be illegal to lock somebody in a facility and I’m pretty sure it is. I then receive a phone call this morning regarding my complaint, only to be greeted by somebody who blamed me for the incident. This place is ridiculous and their service is horrible, and in my opinion dangerously operated. I do not recommend this place to anyone especially if you have children.
I didn't rent a space at this time due to complications with my wife, but I would recommend working with Public Storage. Brandy, the manager, is a wonderful lady and actually listens. Thanks for the help.

Brandy was a huge help, I got an 8X12 that seems a little small(8X10), I didn’t measure it; yet. Everything fit nicely. They could have spent some money clearing some of the ice and snow, it looked as if they did nothing.
